Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The CEO's elevator

The next day, Lena woke up feeling refreshed and revitalized. She got dressed in a beautiful outfit, looking polished and professional. She finished off her look with a stylish cap, feeling confident and ready to take on the day.

As Lena stepped into the elevator, she was immediately struck by the presence of two men. One of them, a stunningly handsome guy, was leaning against the wall, his hair falling across half of his face. He looked like a prince, and Lena couldn't help but think, "Oh my God, who is this guy?"

As she turned her attention to the other man, she noticed him staring at her with a mixture of surprise and annoyance. Lena felt a shiver run down her spine as their eyes met.

Meanwhile, Wills was thinking to himself, "Who is this woman? And why is she using this elevator? How dare she enter the CEO's elevator?" He stared at her blankly, his expression unreadable.

Wills was taken aback by Lena's presence. This elevator was strictly off-limits to everyone except the CEO and his assistant. He couldn't understand why she had entered, and his mind was racing with questions.

Lena's reverie was shattered by a cold, hard voice. "Get out! Get out of here!" The command came from the guy leaning on the wall, his eyes blazing with intensity.

Lena's eyes widened in surprise. "Oh, what? Who are you, and why are you yelling at me to leave the elevator?" She stood her ground, her confidence unwavering.

To herself, she thought, "Who does this guy think he is? For your information,am not leaving this place you crazy moron!" She squared her shoulders, ready to face off against the confrontational stranger.

Lena shot back, her voice firm. "Ah, what do you think you are? Maybe you think you're some kind of god, but I'm not going anywhere!" She stood her ground, her eyes flashing with defiance.

"Yes, I'm staying right here," she continued, her words dripping with determination. "You can't just order me around like some kind of servant. Who do you think you are, anyway?"

The man standing next to Wills intervened, his voice firm but polite. "Ma'am, I'm afraid you need to vacate this area immediately."

Lena's eyes widened in incredulity. "Are you guys insane? I'm not going anywhere! This is ridiculous. What's going on here?" She planted her feet firmly, refusing to budge.

Wills' expression remained icy, his eyes flashing with annoyance. The air was thick with tension as the standoff continued.

Dan, the CEO's loyal assistant, knew his master's temperament all too well. He was aware that Wills was particularly annoyed when anyone invaded his personal space, especially women. This elevator was exclusively reserved for the CEO, and Dan knew that Wills valued his solitude.

As Dan tried to escort Lena out of the elevator, she resisted, refusing to back down. In the chaos, she accidentally hit Wills on the face with her purse, prompting a mortified apology: "oops sorry!"

Panicked, Lena hastily retreated from the elevator and took the stairs, her heart racing with fear. She couldn't shake off the feeling that she had just made a powerful enemy.

Lena hurried up the stairs, her mind still reeling from the bizarre encounter in the elevator. She couldn't believe the audacity of those men, and her anger simmered just below the surface. "Crazy morons," she muttered to herself, shaking her head.

As she reached the top, she pushed aside her frustration and focused on her task. Little did she know, the CEO was still fuming in the elevator, his annoyance boiling over into anger.

Wills' eyes narrowed, his mind racing with questions. "Who is this woman?" he growled to Dan. "Find out who she is and get her fired. Immediately."

Dan nodded promptly. "Yes, master, I'll fire her right away."

Meanwhile, back in the office, Max called out to Lena. "Lena, can you please take these documents to the CEO's office?" Lena's eyes widened with excitement. "Oh, does that mean I'll finally get to meet the CEO?" S

Lena's excitement was palpable as she hastily collected the documents from Max. She couldn't wait to meet the CEO, and her heart skipped a beat as she stepped into the elevator, bound for the CEO's suite.

As the doors slid open, Lena's eyes widened in awe. The CEO's office was breathtakingly opulent, with sleek black and white décor that exuded luxury. Her gaze was drawn to a figure standing by the window, clad in a tailored black suit.

Lena's breath caught in her throat. Even from behind, the CEO was impressively handsome. She felt a flutter in her chest as she approached him. "Excuse me, sir," she said, trying to sound professional. "Max asked me to deliver these documents to you regarding the bid."

As the CEO turned to face her, Lena's heart sank. It was Wills, the same man she had clashed with in the elevator. Her mind went blank as fear took hold. "I'm doomed," she thought, her voice trembling inwardly. "How can I lose my job on just my second day?"

Wills' expression turned icy. "You're fired!" he barked, his voice echoing through the room. Lena fell to her knees, tears streaming down her face as she begged for mercy.

"I didn't know you were the CEO, sir! Please forgive me! I'll never enter the elevator again, I promise!" she sobbed. Wills' face remained unyielding.

"Get out before I call security on you! You're fired, leave the company immediately!" he shouted. Lena slowly got up, her eyes welling up with tears as she retreated from the office.

She trudged back to Max's office, recounting the events that had just transpired. Max's eyes widened in surprise. "How could you enter the CEO's elevator? That elevator is only for the CEO!" Max scolded.

Lena looked up, tears streaming down her face. "I didn't know, Max. Please, you have to help me. Beg the CEO to give me another chance." Max's expression softened at the sight of Lena's tears.

"Okay, okay. Stop crying, I'll plead on your behalf." Max headed to the CEO's office, determined to convince Wills to give Lena a second chance.

"Sir, please reconsider. She's new and didn't know the rules. She's a talented employee, and it would be a shame to lose her," Max urged. Wills' expression remained stern, but Max's words seemed to have an impact.

"Fine," Wills said finally. "I'll give her another chance. But make sure she understands that I don't want to see her face around here again. Understood?" Max nodded eagerly.

"Yes, sir. Thank you, sir." Max breathed a sigh of relief as he left the CEO's office, knowing that Lena's job was safe – for now.
