Chapter 14 - Invoke The Teacher To Ask The Crime? Swordsmanship Showdown

After Amora left, Irene managed to suppress her anger.

Thinking that the famous Enchantress might use Aaron as a contact target, she became deeply unsettled.

Aaron was just a novice in magic. No matter how impressive his talent was—surpassing even herself in illusion magic within a single day—he was still young and inexperienced.

Facing Amora, the master of spiritual charm, he stood little chance.

Of course, this wasn't a matter of brute force. No matter how bold Amora was, she wouldn't dare harm a recognized magic genius of Asgard.

What worried Irene was the possibility of Amora using her charm magic to seduce Aaron, manipulating his incredible magical potential for her own ends.

Aaron was too young to have any resistance to psychic magic, and at his age, he was a prime target for Amora's allure.

No!

She couldn't allow it!

Even among the seasoned warriors and scholars of Asgard, few men could resist Amora's magic.

Determined, Irene couldn't sit still any longer—she had to find Aaron immediately.

At that moment, Aaron was unaware of Irene's concerns. Instead, he found himself blocked by a group of familiar faces at the academy.

Sif stood with her arms crossed, pretending to be angry.

"Aaron, I think you owe us an explanation for the trick you played on us last night," she said.

"We actually drank and chatted with a bunch of illusions for hours!"

Thor nodded in agreement. "Yes! You don't treat us as friends!"

Meanwhile, Loki stood silently, scrutinizing Aaron.

He still couldn't believe that a complete beginner had surpassed him in illusion magic on the first day of training.

Loki didn't mind deceiving Thor for fun, but to have been tricked along with him?

Unacceptable.

Did this mean he was just as gullible as Thor?

Absolutely not!

Aaron could tell the group wasn't actually angry, but he still felt an apology was necessary.

"Alright, alright. I'll make it up to you. Drinks are on me next time," he offered. "I really didn't mean to trick you all so badly."

Thor's expression instantly brightened, but before he could respond, Sif shot him a glare that made him swallow his words.

Instead, Thor gave Aaron a meaningful look—one that said, Don't forget that promise.

Sif then turned to Fandral, giving him a subtle nod.

Fandral smirked and stepped forward.

"Aaron, I heard you've been practicing magic non-stop since yesterday," he said. "That's great and all, but as an Asgardian warrior, you can't neglect your combat training."

"We have no problem with you learning magic, but warriors must always train. So, let's put your swordsmanship to the test."

"Let me check how much you've been slacking off."

Aaron immediately sensed what was happening.

This wasn't punishment—it was a challenge.

Sif, Fandral, and the Warriors Three still saw him as one of their own. They didn't want him to abandon his warrior training just because he had talent in magic.

To them, swordsmanship was the true path of an Asgardian.

Aaron smiled.

In truth, after upgrading his swordsmanship, he had been wanting to test it out against a worthy opponent.

And among his peers, Fandral was the best swordsman.

"Alright," Aaron said, summoning a long sword from thin air.

The blade materialized in his hand instantly, shimmering with energy.

Having learned space storage magic, Aaron could now store and summon weapons with ease.

It was an incredibly useful ability—allowing him to summon weapons in an instant with minimal magic cost.

Seeing this, Loki's eyes narrowed.

Another new magic?!

How many spells had Aaron learned in just one day?!

Even without engaging in direct magical combat, Loki was starting to feel a creeping sense of urgency.

If this continued, Aaron wouldn't just match him—he would surpass him completely.

For the first time, Loki regretted not devoting more time to his own magical studies.

He had always been confident in his superiority… but Aaron's rapid rise was shaking that belief.

Meanwhile, a short distance away, Amora had arrived.

She had initially been heading straight for Aaron, but upon seeing Thor, Loki, and Sif, she halted in her tracks.

Thor... Loki... Sif...

What a headache.

Amora was a master of mind magic, but charming Thor was no simple task.

Despite not being trained in magic, his control over thunder gave him immense resistance to spells.

Loki, though not as magically skilled as herself, was still taught by Frigg.

Even if she could overwhelm him, it wasn't guaranteed.

But the biggest problem wasn't them—it was Sif.

Sif, the strongest female warrior of their generation, was completely immune to her charms.

Not because of magical resistance.

But because Sif was a woman.

And Amora was absolutely certain that Sif was not interested in women.

None of her usual tricks would work.

For now, I'll wait…

Her emerald-green eyes shimmered with amusement as she watched from the shadows.

She wouldn't make her move yet, but sooner or later…

Aaron would be hers.

In the courtyard, Aaron and Fandral raised their swords.

The showdown was about to begin.
