Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

A young lad with a fantastic bodybuild opens his eye in a luxurious room. His long, gold, messy hair was in his line of sight. Brushing it off his face with his left hand, he sat up slowly on the bed he was on. Resting his back on the wooden frame, he looked around the room. Marble floor, Scarlet fabric, beautiful red coloured curtains, cedar wood for bed frames, everything was splendid. Yes even the headache he felt was so splendid, a chronic hangover was nothing in comparison to what he was feeling. He ignored it. There was a confused look on his face showing the amount of questions he had. But the most disturbing and urgent one was the question about his identity. ' Who Am I?' Immediately he had that thought, he started hearing voices. They sounded like whispers at first but with minimum concentration, it became clearer until it felt like he was in the room with the people talking. " Lydia, what do you think of him?" A sweet feminine voice asked. Another one even more pleasant to listen to answered. "He sure is a pretty boy" "yeah" "Don't get dreamy, you might not be his type." A masculine voice sounded. It was filled with authority but was still subtle. The first female voice sounded again. "Oh Scott, don't be such a spoiler. Travis what do you think? ....Travis? ..... Travis!" "Yes?" "What do you think about him?" "About him? Well, he's uh he's still recovering. I don't think it would be wise if you ladies start pestering him. Especially you Lydia. Besides, we don't know if he's awakened anything or if he's just a mundane. He said that part with a little hint of disgust. "Gee someone should remind me of how many dads we have." The first feminine voice spoke. " That's a possibility." Scott said with a smile. He had been smiling ever since they started the whole conversation. " Whatever he lacks in strength, he covers up with his beauty" " Lydia!" "What? I can't just admire someone? Besides wouldn't it be an overkill if someone so handsome is so powerful?" Lydia said with a playful smile. "Don't jinx it. Damean what do you think of him?" All eyes immediately shifted to the end of the table "don't care" "you... You... You're just so cold and indifferent. I wonder what goes on in that head of yours. Little wonder she left... You just couldn't ev-" She was about to go on and on when Travis stepped up. "leave him be Genna. You know he doesn't like conversations." Damean just sat there, his expression as cold as ice...his gaze was steady and empty..one could get lost in those silver coloured eyes that seemed to pull one into its depth.

' Who are those people? Maybe they could help?' He rushed out of the bed, scared that they would leave. He fell back on the floor. Seemed like he had forgotten how to walk. He stood up and after some minutes of thinking, he took a first step. As he did that, the door to his room opened. A maid walked in. Immediately she saw him, she fainted. Two other maids rushed in to help. What they saw shocked them as well. They both held on to the sides of the door for support. Subconsciously, one of them said " a god amongst humans." Just then, a male servant walked in. The situation was funny. Three maids went into a room and none had returned. When he walked in, what greeted him was what could be described as a work of art. No, a work of art would be an understatement. That was unless it was made by the gods. Just where could a man get such a body. Everything was in the right proportion. The abs, the chest, even the not so little rod hanging in between his legs was in perfect size. His eyes seemed like they were drawing you close to him. He looked so handsome that it bordered on beauty. ' What is wrong with this people?' "Can someone please tell me what's going on?" At this, the woman who had fainted earlier, woke up and said " you...you...naked" she fainted again. He looked down to see what they were looking at. "Ahh" A wry smile found its way to his lips. Indeed, he was stark naked. He innocently scratched the back of his head and smiled. By now, the room was filled with red cheeks.

*In the dining hall*

" Wow! The cakes here. Time for dessert" Glenna dived in with a knife and plate in her hands. But Lydia wasn't going to let her get the first bite. So, she stretched her hand and hit the knife away not caring in the slightest bit about the force applied. The girls started having a cat fight on who was to take the first bite out of the cake. The men did nothing to stop them cuz they knew how much of a terror these women could be for their desserts. That unwritten law applied to those who cared anyway as there was one exception. Damean leisurely cut out of the cake and took one full bite. This seemed ended the fight. Suddenly, Scott spoke. "Lydia, it seems you are bent on killing at least one of my servants." "And why would that be? Ooh precious Scott." Lydia replied. The smirk on Scott's lips was even wider now. "The knife you hit never made a falling sound so I can only assume...." Her eyes widened. To think he would pay attention to the tiniest of details. "Guys?" Damean's voice called out to the four of them. Tracing his line of sight, their eyes fell on a man dressed in white royal robe with golden patterned embroidery on it. It seemed like the designer was bent on making it the best piece of clothing ever. They all held their breaths in view of this awe- inspiring sight. He stood, 5 feet tall, with the best body shape for a man. His hair went down to his waist and the golden color it had was in deep contrast with his deep blue eyes, giving him a mystifying kind of charm. He had one hand stretched out and in-between his fingers was a cutlery knife. Travis was the first to gain his composure. " You're finally awake. What a way to make an entrance." The cutlery was still stuck between his fingers. He lowered his hands exposing what one could describe as a charming face. " It seems you are in a haste to send me back." He joked. His voice seemed to have a soothing effect. Scott silently took note of this. They all smiled and turned their gazes towards Lydia. Her face had turned red as she also felt his gaze on her. By now, she was regretting her life choices. For some reason, Scott seemed impatient. "What is your name?" He frowned as he didn't seem to remember that "I...I don't know?" "Do you know where come-" "Scott! He doesn't even remember his name. How do you think he'll remember anything else?" "I'm sorry. Where are my manners? Come, have a seat. I'm sure you're famished." With that, he walked calmly and took a seat right next to Lydia who seemed to be having trouble controlling the color of her cheeks. Heck! She couldn't even eat properly. He looked at her and noticing her strange behaviors, "are you alright?" He asked innocently. Oblivious to the fact that his presence beside her was causing a storm in her mind. "Yes.. Mhmm mmm. Yes! I'm fine." The first part came as out as a whisper. The second, was more like an affirmation. He just smiled and kept eating. A light frown appeared on his face and He said "how long have I been out?" He question was met with the weighty sound of silence. After waiting for some moments without receiving an answer, he looked up to catch their gazes. "Is there something on my face?" He asked, cleaning his already cleaned face. "Sorry it's just that you are so good looking." Glenna- couldn't help herself. "Well, the same applies to all of you here." He looked over towards the end of the table. There, a young man sat. He looked gorgeous but there was an air of loneliness surrounding him. "Hey what's your name?" "Me?" He asked, unsure of what he had heard. "Who else?" "I'm.... I'm Damean." "Damean, it's a pleasure to meet you." "Th.. the pleasure's all mine?" Damean stuttered. The man just laughed. "Well, under normal circumstances, I would also tell you my name I believe. But as it stands, I have no memory of who I am. I w-" someone didn't want him to finish his statement. "Can we just call you handsome?" "Glenna!" Travis scolded. But immediately after, he started laughing. The rest followed suit including Damean. After some random talk, a servant walked in and whispered something to Travis. Immediately after that, he spoke. Well, I think it's time we get going. Uhmm Handsome?" They all chuckled " we've got to get him a new name." Scott said. " I'll have a maid show you around. If yo-" " I'll do it" Once more, they all turned to the end of the table with their mouths wide open. Travis didn't seem to believe what he had heard "what did you say Damean?" Instead of a reply, Damean just stood up and walked over to where 'handsome' was seated and said " would you like to start the tour now?" "Why, yes. I don't have anything to do so, please lead the way." Under the surprised gazes of everyone on the table, they stood up and started walking away. 'handsome' turned around and said "thank you all for the meal" That said, they went on their way. Once they were out of sight, Travis said "what was that?" " Love at first sight?" Scott replied. "Damean's straight Scott." Lydia retorted. "Glenna did you notice anything?" Everyone turned to look at her. She had a look of exasperation on her face. "Sigh... I don't know how to say this." "What is it?" Travis asked. "When he first walked in, I felt the spirit of Asclepius. It was really dominating so i thought he would be a healer. But.." "but what?" Travis asked with impatience. " Would you let me speak.?" " Sorry. Go on." " But then, I picked up very faint traces of Aeolus. Then I felt traces of Ares. As if that wasn't enough, I also felt Hermes and Aether." "That's not possible. A single man can't possibly be a vessel to more than one god. Maybe two or three but this..." Travis was really agitated. He had practically lost his cool. Scott spoke. The smirk still on his face. " Glenna, you sure of what you are saying?" "Have I ever been wrong?" "If that's the case, I think we'll have to keep him at bay. No one should hear of this. When Father comes, we'll let him know. For now, we should just pretend we never had this conversation. One more thing, On no grounds should he leave the palace."
