Talent Reborn
Episode 49: Shadows in the Light
The world celebrated Haruto Aizawa as a medical prodigy.
His historic surgery was broadcast across every major news network. His name was spoken with admiration, envy, and suspicion.
Hospitals flooded with requests for him. Patients called him a miracle worker.
But Haruto wasn't celebrating.
Because he knew—he was being watched.
And the enemy wouldn't stay in the shadows for long.
Late at night, in his private office, Haruto replayed a video message sent from a blocked number.
A familiar face appeared on the screen.
Dr. Kuroda.
The elite doctor who once tried to ruin him.
Kuroda's face was pale, his eyes sunken with exhaustion.
"Haruto… if you're watching this, it means I didn't make it."
Haruto's breath hitched.
"They know about your power. They've always known. And now, they're ready to expose you."
The screen flickered, showing confidential medical reports.
Every surgery Haruto had ever performed. Every success. Every impossible feat.
A pattern was forming—one that no ordinary human could explain.
Then, Kuroda's voice returned, low and urgent.
"They have someone else. Someone just like you. And they're coming for you, Haruto."
The message cut off.
Haruto's fingers clenched into fists.
His secret was unraveling.
And worse—he wasn't the only one with a talent like this.
The next day, Haruto arrived at the hospital.
Only to be greeted by police officers.
"Dr. Aizawa," the officer said, his tone cold. "You are under arrest for medical fraud."
Gasps filled the hallways. Doctors and nurses froze in shock.
Haruto's eyes narrowed.
He had saved lives. Changed the world.
And now, they were trying to erase him.
As the handcuffs clicked shut around his wrists, he looked past the officers—
And saw a figure watching from the crowd.
A man with sharp, calculating eyes.
A man who felt familiar.
Haruto understood immediately.
This was him.
His rival.
The other "talent user."
And this was just the beginning.
