I was sitting inside the evaluators office, it was quite huge, but not comparable to the outside. The Reapers Guild Headquarters is indeed good.
I handed him my resume, but I know they just look at the ranks, and not the traits nor the personality of the hunter. This is the bad side of Guilds.
I could tell he was just faking to look at my other informations, he is so easy to read. I sighed. But please, accept me. I prayed silently.
"I'm sorry, you failed to qualify the requirements for the quild. You may now leave, you are rejected."
I took my things, and most importantly my resume from the evaluators hand,
"Thank you for your time."
I went outside the room, and threw my resume to the trash can near the benches. As I was walking towards the exit of the building, a familiar blue light notification blinded my eye, that's right. System message notification.
[You acquired a new system "Shadow System"]
[Initiating Combination with the current System]
[Failed.]

[Failed.]
The 'failed' message flooded the surroundings, although there was many people there, only I can see it. But don't get me wrong, they have their own system.
I stood there frozen while reading the notifications one by one until I stumbled upon a new one.
[You now have two Systems.]
"Huh? I thought they combined... Did it fail?"
I muttered barely a whisper, I continued to walk my way to my apartment, since the Reapers Guild was near it I can easily go back home. As soon as I got home I removed my shoes, and rushed to my room to open my laptop.
"Hmm, Shadow System. Let's see."
I searched through the websites finding informations about the Shadow System.

A new skill. Again, I gave up searching informations for the Shadow System, it was obvious that I was the only one that have it. And again it was no results, I tried to figure out the Skill name until I came upon a theory,
"Every hunters has limits... But based on the skill Boundless Evolution, that must've mean I don't have a limit... Is that even possible? Well I heard there was no limits to the power of a hunter."
I opened the search engine only to find a new article in the home page.

I closed my laptop, it seems like I was wrong there was a power limitations to begin with, then that means. I have no power limit. I can go beyond Rank-S, and with the help from my new system, that should be easier now. My phone suddenly rang loudly, indicating someone was calling, I hurriedly picked it up as soon as I saw that it was my mother.

I was overjoyed when I heard that I was going to the Hunters Academy, but frightened at the same time, since I heard rumours that the instructors there was very strict on students. One rule broken they beat your ass.

My mother hung up before I could speak, I hurriedly packed up my things including my daggers that I used for hunting monsters. When suddenly the city alarm went off.
« Seoul has been attacked by monsters! Hunters nearby are to respond immediately. »
A chance to level-up! I quickly took the dagger that I packed, it was a metal dagger, but it'll be useful anyways. I head outside my apartment building, and saw a zombie-like monsters, but instead they were burning, and the fire was blue. It was a horde they were so many. I saw three zombie monsters, and quickly striked at them. I sliced the first one on the arms, and then beheaded it. I attacked the second one by kicking it in the face, it was so weak. But the third one, I felt intimidated.
"What the fuck?"
The zombie was wearing a hunters armor. Could it be—that the portal that broke out contained dangerous virus on it.
"Whatever, you're a monster now anyways."
I quickly went for the zombified hunter, I tried to behead him, and end him quickly, but I was sent flying away by his fist alone.
"Fuck..." I coughed up blood.
"I'm not done yet... I am not the same Rank-E anymore!"
Blood was still gushing out from my mouth, but I clenched my dagger, and went straight for the zombified hunter,
"It seems like the zombies I killed earlier, was civilians that got bitten."
The zombified hunter first attacked me by swinging his arm around in a circle. I then retorted by stabbing his stomach. I quickly took off the stuck dagger, and went back to my old position.
"What the fuck is this thing."
"Why is he attacking like that? Is he fucking dumb?—oops I forgot zombies are absolutely dumb."
The monster seemed to be looking for me, but this dumb fucked doesn't notice me behind him.
"Seriously?"
I slashed his neck, and beheaded him. The blood splattered all over my body, I wiped the bloods on my face to prevent infection. I took my dagger that fell to the ground after beheading the monster.
"There is like a thousand of them left. Fuck me."
"I'm cooked."
I went straight for the zombified civilians first before I go to the hordes, as expected they were easy to kill since they're not a hunter. As soon as I finished, I walked towards the horde of zombies clenching my dagger.
"A chance to level up."
However as soon as I took another step, the horde of zombies was annihilated by a strong flame. The zombies soon turned to ashes, there, walked out a woman with a fierce look on his eyes. She was a woman with long wavy red hair, and a slim body.
"What are you doing here."
The woman asked me, I wasn't able to respond immediately since I was intimidated by her presence.
"I— I am an hunter."
"I see."
She walked past me, the scent of her hair absolutely captured my heart, but anyways she just took my chance to level up. That's when I realized, the fourth Rank-S Hunter of the Republic of Korea Mikaella Siz was the one that talked to me.

[Shadow System: Dark Magic Increased by One]
[System: All Stats Increased by One]
The level-up notification appeared, but there was two. I forgot about it, I had two Systems now. But what is Dark Magic. More importantly I feel more stronger now. I am just going to ignore that Shadow System for now.
The calamity was not yet finished, it was just only starting. As another hordes of zombie appeared in the streets. Their growls filling up the entire street was absolutely terrifying. Suddenly I felt like the shadow was calling for me. I pointed at a shadow that was creating by a building, I raised my hands up, and a tentacle-like shadows followed my hands.
"Woah, shadow manipulation. What if I just used my mind?"
As expected it still worked when I used my mind. I launched the tentacle like shadow to a zombie, and it absolutely destroyed the shit out of the zombie. The zombie were smashed into pieces as soon as it made contact with the shadows I was manipulating.
I used the other surrounding shadows to kill zombies, I was able to kill many, but it seems like the shadows have limits on how long they can stretch, and it consumed alot of my mana.

I'm thankful that I leveled up earlier, if it wasn't for it I would've past out right now with the lack of mana. Everytime I level up my mana goes up by fifty. That's a shame I'm only level one.
"Wait what, I was level 7 before, did it reset when I gained another system? I thought the Shadow System was different from the Normal System, but why is using skill on the Shadow System affecting my mana on the Normal System?"
I opened my status on the Shadow System, unlike the Normal System the Shadow System has a slightly dark background, and purple on each corners.

Compared to the Normal System, the Shadow System only has one stats, Dark Magic meanwhile Normal System has three, Strength, Endurance and Agility.
I soon spotted a zombie walking towards me, without hesitation I killed it.
"I was thinking here you fucking idiot. Oh no, what will happen to my academy life now? Since these zombies started appearing, fuck."
I felt a heat touch my back, here was the flame that Mikaella Siz used again, it completely burned the hordes of zombie to ashes. Even thought I was fifty-meters far away from the zombies I felt the heat, as expected from the "Flame Queen.", but who is the king though, I'm so jealous.
My mana points recovered, and I started fighting alongside with Mikaella Siz, she was impressed, a little bit I guess, she still has that fierce look on her eyes. So scary. A zombie grabbed my arm, and almost bit me, thankfully Mikaella's fireball managed to kill it before it bited me.
"Fuck, it's hot."
"Don't think while fighting idiot." She shouted angrily.
I manipulated the shadows once again annihilating the zombies that escaped from her wild flames.

The shadows grew a little stronger, faster, and the limit to where it can stretch slightly increased. All the monsters that we'd been killing were all zombified civilians no signs of hunters.
I saw a dagger heading towards the back of Mikaella's head.
"Shit! Mikaella dodge!"
Thankfully, I managed to stop the dagger from flying all the way to her head using my shadows. Here comes the zombified hunters, there is alot of them. I meant alot.
