Yurena was in her room sitting on her bed.
She was lost in deep thoughts but she snapped out by the sound of the door knock.
"Come in" she said.
Her mom (mrs Sebastian) walked in. She sat beside yurena on the bed. She was preparing herself to say something to her. She wasn't sure if Yurena is interested in what she us about to say.
"Yurena, there is something serious we need to talk about"
Yurena's curiosity piqued.
"Go ahead"
Her mom sighed.
"Dad and I are arranging a birthday party for your and Angelina's 18th birthday But, we want you to show up when guests arrive. We aren't repeating the mistakes of 17th birthday. I remember you stayed in your room all the time while Angelina was playing role of both of you"
Yurena gritted her teeths.
"Don't you feel anxious among all the crowd, those trillions of people and there judging eyes upon you. Its so irritating when you are with alot of people and you have to chat with them. Most probably, all of them just sugarcoat each other to make themselves good in there sight and those same people talk worst about you behind your back. It's way better to stay isolated instead of a company snake minded humans"
Her mom paused.
"Listen Yurena, I don't want any of your stupid excuses to get rid if people. They are part of your life—"
Yurena cutted her mom's sentence.
"They are not part of our lives. They are just too selfish and self obsessed to consider themselves not being someone's priority. Like why would anyone love you!"
My mom pinched the bridge of her nose.
"Yurena, yurena, Yurena. Leave your views and comment about people aside. I am calling the driver you and Angelina get dresses for parties and yeah, please any other colour then black. That not a suitable colour for jocund party. You got my point?"
Yurena nodded even though she wasn't happy about the party.
Once mom left, yurena closed her eyes. The party was few days ahead but she was already feeling anxious.
"I have to buy few bottles of foundation and concealers too. I can't let the guests and my family know about those bruises, cuts and scratches i put on myself just for satisfaction" she thought herself.
