Chapter 1 - chapter 1

On the planet Zorkan, many different creatures live, but due to the planet's rugged terrain, the land has been divided into two parts, separated by a towering mountain range on one side and a vast sea on the other. Few have been able to cross these two barriers and reach both regions.

The first region is inhabited by the most powerful creatures on the planet: Light Wizards and Dark Wizards, who live under the rule of a single queen, Queen Elizabeth, a Light Wizard. This region is also home to a single pack known as the Shadow Pack—thousands strong—the most powerful and numerous pack on the planet, once the de facto rulers of Earth. Alongside them are the Lucifer Vampires, some of the fiercest vampires on the planet. But after committing many crimes, they were exiled to the other part of the planet, which became known as the Western Kingdom.

The second region includes several kingdoms and herds, which live in peace according to treaties and laws governing their relationships. This region is known as the Eastern Kingdom.

In the Eastern Kingdom

At night, in the heart of the vast forest, where dense trees stretched toward the sky, the air was heavy… It was as if the forest was holding its breath. The cold wind whispered between the branches, and the leaves danced in a mysterious murmur.

In daylight, the forest holds a subtle awe, but with the first touches of night, it turns into a living nightmare—more brutal and more frightening. Just the thought of staying here quickens my breath... It's a place I never want to be.

As the sounds of predators grow louder, there's something else... Faint whispers rustling among the leaves, irregular breathing...

Should we come closer to see? Or should we move away before it's too late? Hmm... Curiosity is deadly to its owner, but... who can resist it?

The sound of footsteps scurrying across the forest floor, leaves falling from the trees under the weight of heavy feet. The sound gets closer and closer until a pack of wolves appears, running fast, and behind them is a huge wolf, larger than the ones in front.

When you stare into his eyes, a sense of dread creeps in, as if the whole night has settled into his gaze. His eyes are black—darker than the night itself—full of mystery and pent-up anger. His gaze is intensely focused on the wolves ahead, and whenever they try to flee, they seem unable to escape. If he wanted to kill them, he wouldn't hesitate for a moment, but he wasn't here to finish them off. His goal was to warn them—to keep them from approaching his pack's borders again.

Finally, when they got far enough from the boundaries of that area, he pounced on them viciously.

He inflicted wounds that would leave indelible scars—marks that would serve as a warning not to trespass on the pack's territory again.

The wolves scurried away until their tracks disappeared into the shadows of the trees, but his sharp ears picked up their faltering footsteps and breathless panting, imprinted with fear and pain. He stood tall, watching those terrified beings before him, unconcerned with what he had left behind.

He raised his head toward the sky, where the moonlight filtered through the tangled branches, casting a silvery sheen on his dark fur, as if whispering an ancient secret:

"I never tire of raising my face to see you... You remind me of her."

He took a deep breath, then turned with quiet steps, heading toward his pack, indifferent to what had happened—as if it were just another page turned in silence.

Upon returning from his transformation, he retrieved the clothes he had tied around his feet. Adrian now appeared as a young man in his late twenties, with straight black hair and eyes as dark as the deepest night. His gaze was sharp and powerful yet empty... like a body without a soul. His pure hazel skin, polished like bronze, and his towering height—over 190 centimeters—along with his strong, muscular build, told any observer how hard he had worked to attain such strength.

He heard footsteps approaching quietly. He didn't need to look to know who it was, but he paid no attention. His eyes remained fixed on the moon, as if whispering his pain to it.

A calm voice reached him, tinged with reproach:

"I'm back."

Adrian slowly turned toward the speaker, finding a young man in his mid-twenties, with curly blond hair and brown eyes. His tanned skin was not much different from Adrian's, and his muscular build was nearly identical. This was his friend, Arkon.

Arkon finally spoke after giving up hope that Adrian would start the conversation:

"Why didn't you tell us the Rogers were trespassing? You didn't have to chase them down on your own. We could have dealt with them together. Why do you always ignore us? It wasn't worth it—it was just a passing incident that could have happened at any time!"

Adrian looked at him sharply, his exasperated tone carrying clear disapproval:

"Really? You think it was unnecessary?"

Arkon was silent for a moment, struggling to find a suitable response but failing. The silence was broken by Adrian's voice once more:

"I thought there wasn't much time, so I didn't wait for anyone and dealt with the situation myself."

He said it with obvious sarcasm, causing his stern look to acquire an unexpected touch of amusement.

Adrian continued, "Also, what's with you being so talkative? I'm not used to that. Are you really Arkon?"

He spoke sarcastically.

Arkon looked at him for a moment, then replied in a quiet voice, ignoring the last remark:

"The chance of an accident due to the Rogers' presence at the border was no more than 5%."

Adrian raised an eyebrow, then shot him a sideways glance before replying with clear sarcasm and impatience:

"Really? I didn't know that. Remind me to write it down in my notes."

He finished with a cold smile.

Turning away, he made his way through the trees toward his house before adding in a tone that carried both anger and resolve:

"We will not repeat that mistake... Enough of what happened before, and the losses we suffered."
