Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

On the school notice board, a crowd had gathered to check out the newly released exam results.

Amidst the commotion, Diana Zuhaili stood proudly near the board, her eyes scanning the exam rankings with confidence.

"Wow, that guy beat you again," said Nayla Sheera, her best friend, pushing past the crowd to get a closer look at the results.

On the ranking sheet, it was clearly written:

1st Place: Tengku Darwish Zafran

2nd Place: Diana Zuhaili

Diana's heart sank heavily upon seeing the ranking. She had worked so hard, studied late into the night, even sacrificed friendships just to focus on her studies—but it was all for nothing. No matter how many times she tried, Darwish remained on top.

She turned to leave. "It's fine," Diana muttered, trying to comfort herself.

"Are you okay, Zu? But honestly, I don't get it. That guy wastes time fooling around, but his grades never drop," Nayla grumbled.

Diana remained silent, clenching her jaw tightly. Nayla wasn't wrong. Darwish excelled in academics, sports, and even singing. If someone asked him to cook, he'd probably be good at that too. Hmm…

As she walked down the school corridor, lost in thought, she suddenly ran into Darwish. The boy was leaning against the wall, a smug smile playing on his lips as he looked at her.

"You looked at the results just now, didn't you?" Darwish asked mockingly, eyes filled with satisfaction.

Diana folded her arms and stood tall. "So what if I did? It's none of your business."

"Want me to give you some tips on how to be the top student?" Darwish asked arrogantly.

Diana shot him a sharp glare. "No, thanks. I'd rather make sure you fall from the top with my own efforts."

"Oh? Let's wait and see," Darwish chuckled before turning to leave. But before walking away, he glanced back at her. "Let me give you some advice—don't take studying too seriously. Just chill."

"Screw you. I'm not like you, studying without a purpose," she snapped.

Darwish laughed again. "Life is meant to be enjoyed."

He walked away, whistling cheerfully as if nothing had happened.

Diana gritted her teeth in frustration. Suddenly, a crazy idea popped into her mind. She was going to make a fake confession to Darwish to throw him off his game.

If Darwish was always calm and carefree, then maybe she could mess with his feelings. That was her plan. She was sure he wouldn't see it coming.

Diana smirked. "Just wait, Tengku Darwish Zafran. The game starts now," she thought, laughing mischievously.
