Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

The Next Day

Darwish leaned against his locker, his face troubled. He was disturbed by the game Diana had started. The girl who had always been his rival had suddenly confessed to him. It made absolutely no sense.

A slow smile crept onto his lips. "You want to play games? Fine. I'll play along, Diana."

Darwish shut his locker door and walked down the corridor. He was still thinking about how to counter Diana's attack.

As he was deep in thought, his eyes landed on Diana, who was chatting with Nayla. Perfect! He strode towards her confidently.

"Morning, Diana," Darwish greeted, his voice unusually sweet.

Diana narrowed her eyes at him. "What's wrong with you? Are you losing your mind?"

"What do you mean, love? I just want to treat my girlfriend well," Darwish replied loudly. His voice echoed through the corridor, catching the attention of every student nearby.

Diana's eyes widened. "What?!"

Nayla, who had been sipping her drink, nearly choked. The students in the corridor quickly gathered around them, eager to witness the unfolding drama.

Darwish shrugged nonchalantly, as if he didn't care about the commotion. "Didn't you confess to me yesterday? So now, we're a couple."

Diana's face darkened. This is not what she planned.

The crowd gasped, with some students already pulling out their phones to record the incident. Everything was happening too fast.

Diana glanced around at the curious onlookers before turning back to Darwish, who was smirking smugly.

His grin widened. "What's wrong, love? You said you liked me, didn't you?"

Diana tried to calm herself, her mind racing for an answer. "I... I... yeah, but..."

Darwish feigned surprise. "But? But what, love?" He stepped closer, making Diana instinctively step back—only to find herself trapped against the wall. There was no escape.

"I just…" Diana stammered, her cheeks burning. Her face had turned as red as a tomato from blushing.

Darwish chuckled softly, amused by her reaction. His gaze flickered toward the surrounding students, who were watching with fascination.

"If you don't want to embarrass yourself, you'd better agree with me," he whispered. But his voice was loud enough for everyone to hear. His smirk turned even more devious.

Diana's face turned an even deeper shade of red—this time from sheer embarrassment. Darwish was treating this like a performance, entertaining the crowd at her expense. She wanted to cry but knew she couldn't back down now. People would start talking.

Taking a deep breath, Diana bit her lip before finally speaking in a low but clear voice. "Okay, we're a couple."

"Nice!" Darwish grinned, draping an arm around her shoulders. The sudden touch made Diana seethe with anger. She wanted nothing more than to shove his hand away, but she had to endure it.

The crowd erupted with excitement, their phones still recording. Some students even whistled playfully.

"Aren't we sweet?" Darwish asked loudly, as if he were acting in a drama. Such a show-off.

Diana wanted to push him far away. This isn't sweet. This is a nightmare! But she had no choice but to play along to maintain her reputation.

"Yeah, super sweet," Diana echoed, her voice dripping with fake enthusiasm.
