Chapter 6 - New Home

My eyes gazed at the ladies in the camp, and my jaw fell at their beauty. I was confident about my beauty, but setting eyes on city ladies, I discovered I was nothing compared to them. I glanced to my left, and my eyes met with a stunning, breathtaking lady.

The guys standing around all gazed at her, taking in her breathtaking features. She was dressed in a jean gown. Glancing down to her feet, she was wearing a glittering fashion boot. In her hand, she held a silver bracelet that shone in the sun. Luxury hovered around her from head to toe.

I glanced at her as my eyes scanned her from her boots to her dress, then to her well-adorned hair.

I looked at her and glanced at myself. I could see the clear difference between us. I looked at my outfit and the little bunny slipper I wore. My hair was in two blonds. I gazed at myself and the beautiful lady; even as a lady, I was drawn to her.

She wasn't the only girl with breathtaking features. The other ladies present at the camp all had their sheer charm. My eyes revered them as I took in their elegance and beauty. They would make perfect agents.

The participants' eyes were on the female agent calling names while I was gazing around the other participants. My eyes scanned around until they met with a strange yet enchanting figure.

He stood in a corner, alone. He was clad in a brown outfit, and a brown face mask was also spotted on his face. I glanced at him in awe. Although I couldn't see his face, my eyes drank in his enchanting features. His eyes revered, and it met with mine. My gaze locked with his hazel eyes.

It held no emotions as he stared at me. Although his face was covered, it was sure he was a man of heart-racing features. My eyes locked with his hazel eyes, and for a moment, I felt lost. My heart hitched with curiosity as I was in his presence.

He stood alone, not talking or mingling with other participants. He was the only different yet striking figure. His eyes held no emotions as they were buried deep in mine, but feeling the intensity of his stare, I glanced away. I placed my hand on my chest, which was slowly beginning to pound. His eyes held a dim sense of dominion.

When a lady dashed into the camp, the female agents were a few moments away from being done with the calling of names. In her hand was her luggage as she rushed into the camp. She stormed towards me and almost fell, but I held her up, preventing her from falling. The attention of the participants and the agents fell on her.

"Who are you?" The female agents questioned.

"Sara, why are you late?" The girl named Mimi walked up to the girl.

"So you are Sara," the female agent burred.

"Sorry, ma'am. I was late because…" Sara tried to explain to herself, but the female agent called her off.

"You don't have to explain. Your punishment awaits you after you settle in," she uttered. It was clear.

The Black Diamond Agency valued time, and arriving late was an offense they were sure to punish.

All names were called, and it was time for us to be called into the camp. Names were also being called, but an inspection was being done. Each participant had to reveal the contents of their luggage bags.

I stood beside Sara as I glanced at her casual outfit. I felt a sheer attraction to her.

"Are you also from the countryside?" I asked, and she glanced at me with a weird look as she scanned my outfit from head to toe.

"I am not," she replied. But I see you are. Sorry, I don't talk to countryside girls," she murmured, walking away. My face fell in unbelief. I had just helped her, but she didn't say thank you. How could she say something like that to me?

She was nothing like Jefferson. I had thought all city kids would be as lovely as he was, but I was wrong.

"Please don't take what she said to heart," Mimi told me before walking to her friend Sara. I sighed as I faced the agents busy with work as they inspected a participant's luggage bag. My eyes also stormed to the guy with a nose mask.

He stood, his eyes revered outside the camp as he seemed to be searching for something, but before he could shift his gaze to me, I looked away and fell back to the agents.

A female participant was called out to open her luggage bag but hesitated, raising suspicion among the agents. The custom of checking the luggage of the participants before they are allowed into the training building was adopted because a participant was once caught with hard drugs and weapons. He had not come to train to be an agent, but he was a criminal on a quest for revenge.

The participant was told to open her luggage bag, but she refused, and this caused all the participants' attention to fall on her.

"Open your bag or get out now!" The female agent barred. The participant squeaked her face as she bent down to her horizontally laid bag.

She hesitated as she unzipped the bag slowly. The eyes of the agents and other participants shimmered at her, wondering what she was hiding, but our eyes widened to see what she had revealed.

The bag held her clothes but also contained a series of little boxes. These transparent boxes contained different makeup kits: mascara, lipsticks, and more. The agents' faces dropped at this. I covered my face slightly as I let out a chuckle.

"Is she here for training or a beauty pageant!"

 A participant slurred.

The female agent rolled her eyes as she gave the lady a pass. She hurriedly zipped her bag and entered the camp building. Our luggage was checked before we were granted access to the camp building.

Like the other buildings in the agency, it was extravagant and made with glass. An agent led us in. When the male agent addressed us, we stood on the beautiful terrace of the building.

"Since you all have passed the check-in stage. It's time for you all to go to your respective apartments, where you will stay for the next four months of your training. The building on the left is where the male trainees will be, and we stand in this building where the females will be." He announced.

"On the card given to you is the number of the room allocated to you. On a platter in front of each room is the list of the names of its owners. So, if you're curious about your roommates, check the board, and you will find their names there.

The rules and regulations for maintaining the rooms are written on the blue card you will find. So, you will all search for the card and understand what is written on it. Rest for today; you shall meet your trainers tomorrow," he declared.

The male trainees went on to their building while we, the females, searched for our rooms. I walked through the extravagant and large building. I had never been in a building so large. It was so easy to get lost in it. I glanced at the numbers in the room I saw, checking to see if they were mine, but none of them were.

I walked deeper into the building, my heart racing as I moved. I couldn't believe what was happening. I am finally at the Black Diamond agency, where I will fulfill my dream and meet my crush agent, James. He is one of the best agents of the Black Diamonds.

I searched for my room excitedly to kick-start my training and meet my roommates. "Whoever they are," I chuckled.

I strolled until I finally got to my room. I could hear voices inside.

My roommates were already present. I walked into the room with my luggage, excited to know who my roommates were, but my face fell as I set eyes on them.

There were three of them: Mimi, her friend Sara, and the beautiful, breathtaking girl. My face dropped as I set eyes on them. Mimi and Sara had already paired themselves, so I had to pair up with the beautiful lady. The room had four beds—two on the left and two on the right. I walked to my bed on the right and dropped my luggage.

"So what's your name?" Mimi jumped at me. She was a beautiful and jovial girl, unlike her friend.

"Mimi, what are you doing?" Sara snitched at her.

"You should apologize for what you said to her earlier," Mimi scolded, and Sara's forehead furrowed towards her. Given their relationship, I knew they were best friends, and they also happened to be roommates!!

"Now!" Mimi purred, and Sara walked up to us.

"Fine," she slurred at Mimi. "Am sorry," she said softly, and I smiled. It was funny the way Mimi had control over her.

I glanced back at our fourth roommate. She didn't seem to care about what we were doing or knowing. She put her bag into her wardrobe and walked into the bathroom, not saying a word to the rest of us.

She was an example of a snobbish.

I glanced out the window and took a deep breath of the fresh air from the agency. An air that I want to get used to.
