Chapter 1 - If you want to survive...

"...Who am I?"

Yan Ji looked down at his hands, confused as how he had gotten there. He looked around to see that he was in a traditional chinese setting with paper windows, wooden floor and ceilings, and antiques that seemed to be things that would be in a museum.

Well, the first thought he had was–

"Crap, I got kidnapped."

But after thinking it again–

"No reason to though right? I'm dirt cheap...." His movements stoped for a bit before he lifted his clothing–Which were also now completely in robes–as he looked at his body.

He didn't see any stitches where his kidneys should be either. `

Despite all that was happening, Yan Ji was actually pretty calm.

"Well, this can't be worse than whats already going on in my life."

In reality, Yan Ji was a transmigrator from earth that traveled here after he died while working as a office worker. He didn't remember his name or what he looked like in the past.

With his robes still removed, he noticed a peculiarity. His body was toned over and beyond.

Just looking at his abs, he felt that he could grind some cheese on them.

"What is this!??"

If his kidneys were gone, he'd say meh. If he got kidnapped, he'd shrug and say whatever, that's life.

But all of a sudden he gets shredded with no recollection!?

Yan Ji hurried to any sort of mirror he could find. As he looked at himself in the mirror, he was visibly shocked.

"W-who is this?"

His face, physique, and demeanor was now 100 times better and he looked like a celebrity that just got out of bed.

Before he could even question his new look, a knock resounded from his door.

*Knock, knock, knock*

After the knocking, they quieted down as if waiting for permission to come in.

Yan Ji gritted his teeth and gulped his saliva.

Whats to come will come! Come then! I'm not afraid!

"Come in!"

The door slide itself open as a beautiful girl smiled to him.

"Young master, you–"

She turned around quickly as she hid her bright flushed face with her hands.

Yan Ji realizing the issues, tried to get dressed, only to find out that he didn't know how to.

Screw it!

He acted nonchalant and sat down by the table. Sweat dripped down his cold face.

"What's the matter?"

The girl still hesitated, but she didn't leave. Something felt off about Yan Ji, but she didn't pry any further.

She spoke, "Young master, I went to the plaza and Yan Long challenged you. He said that in 3 days, he would..."

"Say it." He picked up a tea cup while adverting eyes with her to calm his nerves.

"...He would beat you up so hard, even your ancestors won't recognize you. That all his suffering will be repaid by ten fold."

"....Yan Long...how idiotic." The girl still had her back turned so she didn't realize that at this moment, Yan Ji's hand was shaking.

Fuck fuck fuck! What a dogshit luck!

Just from him listening to the situation, he could understand a lot of things.

1. He got transmigrated to a xianxia world.

2. He pissed off a holy son of destiny aka, a main character.

3....

He looked at the girl and really hope it wasn't what he thought it was.

"...What do you think about Yan Long?"

To which she scoffed and crossed her arms.

"Him? That pitiful waste of a man couldn't dare to even measure up to one of your pinky! I can't believe that my grandfather got me engaged to such trash, bleh! Even saying it is making my mouth bitter! I'm already so much happier now that my engagements been broken!"

He nodded with a cold smile, but his eyes were shaking.

3...I stole the male leads fiance.....

Just from this, he could already tell what role he was in.

I'm the damn throwaway villain!

Was it too late to run? The answer?

Run, lets run.

Moving his body, his mind also got clearer. He quickly put on a outfit like it was a habit and walked outside.

"Y-young master? Where are you going!?"

His cold voice responded, "Don't follow me, I need time to meditate."

Please I beg of you, the closer you are to me, the more dangerous it is for me!

After walking, he got to know his position even better.

Wherever he went, disciples would bow and greet him with utmost respect.

Some inner disciples even did so.

Am I a named disciple?

Was he a disciple to a elder or even the sect leader? Well what ever the case, he only had 3 days left to leave.

Sure, he could try and fight the main lead or try to outsmart him, but the success rate of that was lower than 10%–no, .00001%!

The kind of weapon in their arsenal were divine swords, divine medicine, and other broken cheats that only they had!

How would he even win in such a scenario?! Not to mention, they probably have a old man guarding them from the back who could just kill him in one slap!

Sure he could just act tough and say, "you're not worthy of fighting me", and stall as long as possible, but at some point, Yan Ji would have to fight it out!

Yan Ji went straight for the gate without stopping. His moves were rhythmic, and every step was as calm as the an ocean breathing in and out.

...That made no sense, but just roll with it!

Run Yan Ji, Run!

That was the only thing that was in his mind right now!

Screw cultivation, screw story lines, screw everything!

As he passed the gate, he saw a man with a giant ruler, twice the size of himself on his back like a buster sword.

He was straight up staring at Yan Ji while smiling.

Yan Ji instantly recognized who he was, with all the over the top gear. However he didn't stop as he exited the gate.

Yan Long didn't stop him either, he only said one sentence as Yan Ji passed him by. They look in different directions.

"In 3 days, I'll repay everything you've done bit by bit!"

Yan Ji stoped replied coldly and emotionlessly, "Seeking death? Since that's the case, then 3 days from now will be the anniversary of your death! Don't run now, Yan Long!"

With that Yan ji walked off the stone steps one by one.

Yan Long scoffed and turned around staring at Yan Ji's fading back.

[hm...]

Yan Long muttered under his breath to left hand where a ring was, "What's wrong?"

[Don't you think that Yan Ji has changed?]

"Really? He's still as arrogant as ever?"

[Isn't it weird? Theres only 3 days left before the duel, but he's going off the mountain...]

"You're overthinking it. That bastard Yan Ji sees me as a ant to be crushed. You think that he's going to prepare for our fight?"

Hearing these words, the wise old voice hummed a noise of approval.

On the other side of the mountain, Yan Ji was still walking...

His back was completely drenched in sweat as he gulped.

I really thought we were going to fight!

He remembered the way that Yan Long was had stared at him. Like a tiger staring down at a delicious rabbit, waiting for it to invite itself onto its plate.

After what seemed like hours of walking, he finally began running at full speed! As he did so, he began to undress like a perverted madman!

First the hairdress, clothes, and even shoes! He was completely naked with nothing now!

Now they won't be able to track me down!

He halted in his steps for a bit. Paranoia started kicking in.

If they were to use a spell to trace me from my belongings! Or if there was a life light that would stay on as long as I was alive!?

As he thought about it, he decided to just run!

Screw it! If they find me, I'll just pretend I got amnesia!

Just to be safe though, he didn't have a single piece of clothing.

As he got closer to a massive river, he instantly dove in as he was starting to get used to his body more and more.

He let his body ride along the rivers path as Qi was surrounding his body from getting cold.

Looking up to the blue sky while he floated off to who knows where in this foreign world, he felt a sense of freedom that he had never felt in his life wash over him.

He began to laugh maniacally.

"This is freedom!"
