Chapter 4 - The end?

If only living like a hermit was that simple.

Any reader of xianxia novels knew, "Every debt has its debtor."

Eventually Yan Long will find him and kill him.

That is the plot of the story and will continue towards it until it resolves itself. Meaning its impossible to run and hide!

.....

Don't level up.

That was Yan Ji's plan.

Instead of trying to catch up and surpass Yan Long–Which was impossible–it was better to hang around in the lower realms as he goes beyond heaven.

They become less likely to meet, and in time, he'll forget about him....hopefully.

And to be honest, he simply didn't want to cultivate.

Could you meditate at 5 am everyday for 10 minutes? Not Yan Ji that's for sure.

"If I die, then I'll die being a useless monkey king! AHHH!!"

He screamed from the top of his lungs. The monkey didn't understand, but they cheered out in happiness!

Meanwhile on the other side of the coin, Yan Long was frustrated.

"He's dead?"

A big chubby guy next to him look at Yan Long in shock.

"Brother, they say that he found his clothes in a tigers belly!"

"Was that a high tier demon!?"

"No, it was a normal tiger."

"....."

"....."

"....Just a normal tiger?"

"Just a normal tiger."

"I don't believe it!"

Bam!

He slammed his fist into the walls, creating cracks as splinters fall out.

"Yan Ji was confirmed dead! All of his belongings were in a tigers belly and even Master Qiu Han has confirmed that the jade slip was in the belly!"

Bao Bao sighed, "Think about it! Yan Ji was so arrogant, would he have lost his items if he wasn't dead? Even if he didn't get killed by a tiger, he has to be killed by something else!"

[Its not strange for a cultivator to leave bodies in the wild for them to be eaten, Yan Long.]

"But..." Yan Long gripped his hand. "What should I do with this anger? With this vengeance?"

[He's already dead Yan Long. Obsessing over this will harm you!]

"...." Yan Long closed his eyes and breathed out. "Fine. But someone still has to receive all these years of hardships."

Bao Bao looked at him, "You don't mean?"

"Yan Ji might be dead, but what about his father?"

.....

...

...

"Woo! Woo! WOOO!" Yan Ji in tarzan outfit swung on the vine parkouring from branch to branch.

For the first time in his life, he can have fun and be free with no obligations. It was like being a kid!

Though the demerit of that was hygiene and toilets.

"Me ape! Me strong! WooWoohhahaWOO!"

He stood on a dead mid tier demon body that he had just killed and was having the time of his life.

Who would have thought that such simple things would make people happy.

A yellow haired monkey came up with a red fruit.

"For me?"

The yellow haired monkey nodded and jumped up and down joyfully.

Yan Ji took the red fruit as he playfully and theatrically examined it in front of his worshippers. Then he took one large bite!

Crunch!

I mean its not really–HAWT, WHY IS IT SPICY!???

Not just his tastebuds, but his whole body was becoming like a hot furnace!

He jumped up looking for a pond as he saw the rest of the monkey laughing out loud. The yellow haired monkey held on a stick and was jumping up and down and laughing twice as loud as the others.

"I'll get you for this!!!"

Seeing a pond nearby, he instantly jumped in!

As he got to the bottom in fetal position, his body started to calm itself.

Hm?

A brand new energy was revolving inside his body as it flowed to every meridian to fill it up. It burnt, but the water help suppress the pain.

Over the course of 3 hours the energy remained and made his meridians a lot stronger!

BOOM!

As he emerged from the waters, like an explosive had just been set up, the whole pond exploded water out!

He felt so much stronger and more energetic than he's ever been!

It was a different type of rush then anything he's ever done before.

He looked at the yellow hair monkey while cracking his fingers.

"Well, hello there, old pal."

From the corner of his eye, he saw another red fruit.

"Why not share the results, after all...sharing is caring."

Yan Ji stuffed a small piece of the fruit into its mouth. Its eyes began to water as it began to fan itself while running to the pond.

As it jumped in it instantly felt relaxed.

Yan Ji was kind of curious about the fruits origins and wondered why the monkeys cultivations were so low when they had fruits like this just laying around like a garden.

As he looked to them, they felt fear and admiration towards Yan Ji as he held the fruit in the palm of his hand.

"Don't tell me...you don't like this fruit?"

He inched the fruit in teasing them. However, the monkey all roared out as the fruit got closer as they all scattered away.

"Well, they aren't looking to cultivate so it makes sense." Yan Ji threw the fruit into the pond. "I didn't even mean to cultivate."

He walked away however unbeknownst to him.
