Chapter 1 - Luke Field

The Heblon Technology Building, a spacious conference room.

A huge virtual screen displayed the location of a press conference right in front of Luke Field's eyes.

...

New York.

A hotel.

The crowded people were kept outside the barricade, while reporters holding long microphones and cameras waited eagerly on the hotel steps.

"They're coming! They're coming!"

The loud commotion accompanied the roar of an approaching car. When the black business car stopped in front of the hotel, the reporters who had gathered at the steps immediately seemed to receive some kind of signal. They quickly took large steps forward, rushing toward the stairs with their colleagues, each holding their tools for the job.

The car door opened, and a fat man who tried to look very serious and dignified struggled to move out from the driver's seat. Then he walked around and opened the car door for a sharply dressed man in a suit.

The man, wearing black sunglasses, stopped in front of the car for a moment. Seeing the swarm of reporters rushing toward him, he curled his lips in disdain. Surrounded by his bulky bodyguards and hotel security, he began walking toward the hotel's entrance.

"Tony Stark, what do you have to say about the recent surge in Stark Industries' stock prices?" This was from the finance reporter.

"Tony Stark, the supermodel Elsa revealed in an interview that she recently traveled to New York with you, and even returned to your Malibu mansion in Los Angeles with you that night. Is that true?" This was from the entertainment reporter.

"..."

Tony Stark, adjusting his cuff, showed no intention of responding to the barrage of questions from the reporters around him. At that moment, a beautiful female reporter, taking advantage of her burly colleague's hold on the hotel security, quickly rushed in front of him with a microphone, her 10 cm heels tapping quickly, keeping pace with his stride as she asked him questions at an astonishing speed.

"Tony Stark, do you agree with Justin Hammer, the head of Hammer Industries, who said that while your talent in technological innovation is excellent, it's not unmatched?"

Hearing the question, Tony Stark stopped walking. He casually lowered his sunglasses with his right hand, revealing his eyes beneath them. First, he looked seriously at the reporter's beautiful face, then his gaze dropped, scanning her tall, curvaceous figure wrapped in a tight-fitting dress.

He smiled.

"What's your name? Never mind, I can spare some time tonight for an exclusive interview with you. You can contact my secretary and assistant, Pepper... Oh, she's not around. Just contact my bodyguard, Happy Hogan. Yes, this chubby, reliable man right here. He'll arrange the time." Tony Stark pointed ahead, where Happy Hogan, relying on his weight like a boat in a storm, was struggling to push through the crowd of reporters.

Seeing the reporter's sudden look of surprise, he followed with a broad smile, and continued, "As for Justin Hammer, I don't have much to say about him. After all, he's spent years trying to create so-called 'geniuses' to rival Stark Industries, even stepping into the spotlight himself. Unfortunately, he's nothing more than a weapons dealer. Don't use the so-called 'geniuses' he's been promoting to hype me up. I know I'm a hot commodity, but in this industry, fame doesn't necessarily make your 'products' sell better."

"What about Heblon Technology?" The reporter quickly seized the opportunity as she saw Tony Stark trying to leave. "Luke Field's Hyperion Technology is hailed as the most promising tech company of the new century. Some even believe it might rival Stark Industries in the future…"

"That genius boy who, before the age of fifteen, single-handedly built a robot dog and created a stunning program as a gift to himself for his fifteenth birthday?" Tony Stark paused, interested, looking at the female reporter.

The reporter nodded eagerly.

"To be honest, he has got something, but not much. I was already doing what he did at the age of ten," Tony Stark said, then continued up the hotel steps. Turning back, he spoke to the reporter, who had once again been stopped by hotel security. "But overall, he's much better than the so-called geniuses Justin created. I recommend that Justin collaborate with this genius boy. It could help Hammer Industries' stock recover from its recent slump."

...

"You're watching that egomaniac again?"

A blonde woman with a stunning figure knocked on the door before pushing it open. Upon seeing the now-vanished virtual image and recognizing Tony Stark's highly recognizable face, she frowned.

"His talent justifies his arrogance." Luke, sitting at the conference table, rested his hands under his chin in a thoughtful pose.

Luke Field, or Lu Ke, was a typical transmigrator.

After completing a dungeon run with his team, Luke suddenly blacked out and mysteriously found himself reborn in this world. Whether it was fortunate or unfortunate, he didn't become part of the transmigrator orphanage but instead had a full family—both parents and extended family. His family was quite well-off. His mother was a board member of a listed company, and his father was a partner in the largest law firm in New York. This meant that Luke Field had lived a life far superior to that of many previous transmigrators from the very beginning.

Luke had been quite content with his life, until one day, when he saw a certain flashy man on TV. From that moment, his mood soured.

Stark Industries.

Oscorp.

Hammer Industries.

After learning more about these famous big corporations, Luke Field's naive heart was crushed. If it hadn't been for the system's countdown that was steadily progressing toward the end, he might have just given up and let things be. Since discovering that he was living in the Marvel Universe, he had been fervently praying for the countdown to his system's awakening to speed up.

Then, on his fourteenth birthday, the countdown to his system's awakening finally reached zero.

With excitement building in his chest, he closed his eyes in front of the cake and began mentally counting down as the numbers ticked away. When the countdown reached zero, the numbers in his mind vanished, replaced by a dazzling golden light, like the flash of a card being turned over.

A golden card appeared and then shattered into pieces, which merged into Luke Field's body, allowing him to immediately understand what the system was.

It was a character template drawing system.
