Kura stared at the floating chat box, a mix of shock and amusement flashing across his face. He could actually talk to the Author of this world?
This was way more broken than any combat skill.
Without hesitation, he typed:
[Kura]: So, Andy, my dude, what's up? Didn't expect me to figure this out, huh?
The screen flickered. For a moment, no response came. Then—
[Andy]: …No. No, I did NOT expect you to completely derail my carefully planned story within TWO chapters.
Kura snorted.
[Kura]: That's on you, buddy. You gave me a free OP ability and didn't expect me to use it creatively? Rookie mistake.
[Andy]: YOU PICKED DEADPOOL, KURA. DEADPOOL. OUT OF EVERY CHARACTER IN EXISTENCE.
[Kura]: And you let me do it. So really, this is a YOU problem.
There was a long pause. Kura could practically feel Andy facepalming on the other side of reality.
Then, a new message appeared.
[Andy]: …Okay, fine. You broke the 4th wall. Now what? What do you even WANT?
Kura grinned. Oh, the possibilities…
[CHOICES] Demand Ultimate Power – "Make me an unstoppable god." Break the Plot – "Tell me all the spoilers so I can cheat my way through the story." Mess With Andy – "Nah, I just wanted to see if I could annoy you." Request a Cheat Code – "Give me another free OP ability, and I won't cause too much chaos. Maybe."
Kura rubbed his chin. Hmmm…
Finally, he typed:
[Kura]: Option 3. I just wanted to see if I could annoy you.
The chat screen violently glitched, and Andy's next response came in all caps.
[Andy]: ARE YOU SERIOUS?!
Kura burst out laughing.
[Kura]: Bro, you should've seen your reaction. Worth it.
[Andy]: I AM LITERALLY WRITING THIS STORY AND YOU ARE GIVING ME A HEADACHE.
[Kura]: Sounds like a skill issue.
Silence.
The void trembled.
Kura's grin faltered slightly.
"Uh… did I go too far?"
Then, the SYSTEM MESSAGE abruptly returned.
[FORCES BEYOND YOUR UNDERSTANDING HAVE TAKEN NOTICE.]
[You have triggered a Reality Stability Check.]
[Rolling d20…]
A massive 20-sided die materialized in front of Kura, spinning wildly.
"Oh, crap."
The die tumbled through the air—
…And landed on a 1.
[NATURAL 1: CRITICAL FAILURE.]
[WARNING: REALITY IS COLLAPSING.]
Kura's eyes widened as the void began to crack apart, fragments of the world breaking away into swirling chaos.
[Andy]: …YOU ACTUALLY BROKE REALITY.
[Kura]: Well… that's not good.
[Andy]: NO SHIT, SHERLOCK.
Everything turned white—
And then, Kura fell.
End of Chapter 3.
Reality itself has collapsed.
Where does Kura end up? Does Andy have to step in and fix things? Does Kura land somewhere even weirder? 🤣
Want to decide what happens next, or should I roll with the chaos?
