Chapter 1 - Chapter 1- New Life

It was a dark, cold night. Rain slammed hard against the cold stone ground, drowning out the screams of terror and agony that echoed through humanity's last stronghold.

Gunfire roared. Explosions lit up the night. The stench of blood choked the air as people died left and right, calling out to their loved ones, hoping they were still alive.

A monstrous horde of otherworldly, unrelenting monsters swarmed the city, striking fear into even the most seasoned warriors.

And yet, amidst the chaos, one man stood undaunted. No older than twenty, he ran through the bloodstained streets, cutting down every creature in his path. His movements were swift, precise—fearless.

"Zion! It's Zion!"

"Zion's here!"

"We're saved!"

Waves of monsters with numbers in the hundreds charged at Zion, but they all shared the same fate. Zion rushed forward, his spear slicing through grotesque limbs and skulls.

When the enemy closed in, he switched to his sword, carving a path through the writhing masses. A pistol hung at his hip—when there were too many monsters, he fired with deadly accuracy, each shot a clean execution.

Making his way through the wave of monsters, Zion arrived at the watch tower located on the large walls that surrounded the city.

"What's the situation?" He demanded

A soldier, breathless, responded, "Most of the monsters are being held back by the stationed troops, but here on the western front—there are too many—"

His words cut off. A tentacle lashed out, severing his head in an instant. It wasn't until a few seconds later that what had happened registered with everyone present.

Zion cursed. "Shit! A Class 5 monster! Sound the alarms! Evacuate the city!" The remaining men scattered frantically, panicking as they sounded the alarms and broadcasted a message to evacuate.

Zion turned, eyes locking onto the beast that towered 100 feet above the battlefield. Monstrous. Abominable.

Without hesitation, he ripped a metal disk from his belt, pressing it to his chest. A soft hum filled the air as energy pulsed from its core.

"Our last resort." His voice was calm. Steady. "An anti-matter bomb."

Exhaling, he leapt from the city walls.

"Die, you ugly pieces of shit!" With a thunderous explosion, the monsters were utterly vanquished, leaving behind a gaping crater where they once stood.

"Ahhhh!" Zion jolted awake, his breath ragged and sweat streaming down his face.

He let out a weary sigh. "Even after 18 years, I'm still having nightmares about that day." A wry smile crossed his lips. "Well, I suppose it's not every day you get reincarnated by a goddess." He chuckled

"Young Master, may I come in?" A feminine voice asked from behind his room door.

"Yeah." He replied, getting out of bed and stretching his sore body from sleeping in an uncomfortable position.

Opening the door was a woman wearing maid attire. She bowed, showing her respect, and entered his room.

"Good morning young master" She greeted him with a warm smile, her long brown hair cascading over her shoulder as she tilted her head. Her deep brown eyes sparkled with warmth, while her snow-white skin glowed beneath the golden sunlight.

"Morning, Lacey." He eyed her voluptuous body, a figure that any man would lust over, and smiled.

Lacey's gaze flicked to Zion's shirtless torso, a flush rising to her neck. His chiseled, sun-kissed form radiated effortless strength, his long, unruly white hair falling over his sharp, almost otherworldly features. With a playful breath, he swept it aside, revealing mesmerizing golden eyes.

"How's our plans coming along?" He questioned

"Everything is moving smoothly. We've set up our forces in each kingdom and territory and are currently awaiting their confirmation on the intelligence network being made. Our science projects are up to date and the treasure hunter you were looking for, Carl, is locked in the cellars awaiting questioning."

"Good. Proceed with everything as usual. I want a report on the other kingdoms by the end of the month."

"Yes, young master." She bowed

"After I eat breakfast, I'll head to the cellar."

"Understood. Oh, your fiance is arriving today."

"What? She's coming today? I thought it was tomorrow!" He paused, rubbing his temples, trying to find the memory of his fiancée setting the date for their meet up.

"It's today, I double-checked."

"Okay, thanks for telling me. I'll be going now."

After freshening up, Zion left his room and arrived at the dining hall where his mother and sisters were all waiting for him.

"About time you showed up!" his older sister Hanna said, her voice laced with mock annoyance. Her long, curly purple hair cascaded around her shoulders, and her modest frame stood with a casual confidence.

"I like to sleep in." Zion shrugged

"Zion, don't forget you have to come with me to the Dukedom meeting today. We need to discuss the upcoming monster wave." His mother, Zaleena, said with a smile. She, like Zion, has white hair, and she has the ideal MILF body.

"Yeah, can I skip that? I have better things to do than sit around and talk about monsters that can be killed with a single stroke of your sword."

"Like what?" His eldest sister, Reina, asked. Like Hanna, she had purple hair—straight instead of curly—and carried the commanding presence of the eldest sibling. Both sisters inherited their hair from their father, while Zion took after their mother.

He stuck his tongue out at her, not even bothering to answer the question.

"Zion, the meeting may be boring, but as the dukedom's heir, you must take responsibility. Your future hinges on your knowledge and decisions—a leader cannot be incompetent," Zaleena said, pointing her fork at him.

"Yeah, yeah, I'd rather train, that's all."

"And be a big dumb brute." Hanna sneered

"You wanna go?" He asked with a smirk

"Bring it on!" Hanna smiled

Mana erupted from both of them, flooding the dining hall with raw energy. Hanna may have been stronger, but Zion had never been one to back down.

"Enough!" With only her words, Zaleena vanquished both their energy and put a stop to their sibling squabble. Her power far exceeded the two of them.

"Zion, when you're finished with the things you need to do, come find me in my office, understood?" She spoke with a serious tone.

"Yes, Mother."

"I'll see you later, little brother." Hanna winked, leaving the dining room.

After finishing breakfast, Zion kissed his mother and eldest sister goodbye on the cheek before parting.

'But it's true that I have more important things to do, Mother. I have to kill the fucking Gods of this world after all.' He smirked as he left the dining hall.
