Ren Cooper, an elementary school teacher and student, died at the age of 21 in an accident. He was returning home from the market when he was hit by a truck and fell into the embrace of death. His whole life flashed before his eyes at the moment of death.
"So this is how I die," he thought as he returned to nothingness.
When he opened his eyes again, he found himself in a bird's nest. It was the biggest nest he had ever seen. "Where am I? What is this place? Wait! Is this a bird's nest? Why is it so big? One second, why does my body feel so unfamiliar? Oh my god! Are these feathers? Why do I have feathers?" While he was lost in these thoughts, the realization finally hit him. "I clearly remember dying, so have I been reincarnated as a bird after dying? Or is this hell?"
After more or less confirming that he had reincarnated, he did the first thing that came to mind. He took a deep breath, straightened his posture, and said as calmly as he could, "Status window."
He eagerly waited for the so-called system to respond, but even after waiting for five whole minutes, no response came. After waiting a few more minutes, he finally stopped waiting and tried some other things.
"System," "Arise," "Second gear," "Excalibur," "Om Systemaye Namaha."
He tried everything that came to mind (which wasn't really much), but nothing happened. Just as he was about to curse his fate for not having a cheat like the system despite having been reincarnated, a grumpy voice full of arrogance and disdain sounded directly inside his mind.
