The streets of Silvport were damp as the Nights Overcast thundered; a storm had just passed, and the Deep dark clouds still loomed over the city. On the streets, a carriage can be seen pulled by a metallic horse-like machine. Inside a man with deep brown hair and Bags under his Golden eyes like those of a creature of the night, A furious ocean of yellow crystalline fire sits in the torn old leather seat of the carriage. In front of him, a green crystal begins to pulse with light as it shoots a projection of light onto the dark brown wall of the carriage, revealing a neatly groomed grey-haired man. "Good Lord Jeff, you look like shit. Did you even shave before you left the house?" The man scoffs as he sees Jeff's tired eyes and light scruff.
"Oh come on Levrick you know with all these murders lately I havent been able to get much sleep, I'll be there soon my Archilian horse has been running low on mana lately so it's not quite as fast as it normally would be. How bad is this one anyway?" A tired, deep grumble escapes Jeff's mouth as he speaks, "It's bad, real bad, constable Hanson; in fact, it may be the worst yet. It's getting harder and harder to believe a human can do something like this; at this point, I'm starting to think that maybe something really did get past the wall."
A shiver runs up Jeff's spine at the mere thought of something getting past the Silvport wall, something that should be impossible. "I can't imagine the kind of monster that could get past the wall's defenses without notice. I don't believe that is our culprit; it seems impossible. Nothing has gotten past that wall since it was built. No, this must be human." The call ends as Constable Jeff Hanson arrives at the Silvport Museum.
It is a large building with big marble columns at its entrance. Barricades surround the entrance, with multiple low-ranking guards blocking the way. Jeff's armored trench coat can be seen blowing in the wind, its blue gold outlining glistening as he approaches the Barricades, "Halt there, sir, only th," Jeff quickly interrupts the tall-looking guard by pointing at a silverish-blue badge pinned to the collar of his coat "I'm Constable Hansen with the investigations corp step aside"
Seeing the badge, the young guard quickly salutes and then moves the barricade so Jeff can pass. "M... My apologies s... sir I didn't realize who you were" He spoke nervously as he moved the barricade. "Oh, don't worry about it, soldier, It's not your fault; he looks like he crawled out of a trash heap." Captain Leverick's rough voice bounced off the columns as he exited the building. He quickly pulled out a silk towel and passed it over to Jeff. "What's this for?" Jeff looked at the captain, confused. "With your unique sense of smell, this one might make you sick," he quickly replied.
After entering the building, Jeff was led to a Gruesome scene, The body of a middle-aged woman was impaled by the horn of a skeletal bull-type beast. Her lower jaw was torn off, and she was lying on the granite floor of the large room; Her stomach had been torn open, letting her organs spill out onto the floor. The room itself was also in bad condition, with deep claw marks torn in the granite floors and blood splattered everywhere. "By the gods, what could have caused this" The smell of fresh Blood hit Jeff's Nose however that wasn't what concerned him the most, there was another smell, one that made him feel defensive as if something deep within himself was telling him to stay on guard.
He followed the scent to an exhibit of old armor. In the corner of the room there was a pile of what looked like Human flesh and small amounts of what appeared to be animal fur. "wha.. I... how..." Jeff was deeply confused; he had never seen anything like this in his life. "Jeff, what are you... what is that?!!?" The captain had walked over to see what Jeff was looking at, "I'm not sure, sir, It's human skin, but... there's no blood and this dark fur, Sir This is the first I've ever had to say this but, I've got no clue what this is, it's like someone just decided to take their skin off and leave it. it's impossible. not only that, but the tearing you can see where the skin tore, but where's the blood?"
Both men stood there for a second, stumped and bewildered, " well, Can you Track the scent of the skin owner?" Leverick asked curiously. " Jeff stood there, his face filled with curiosity and fear "I'm not sure, sir, the scent is different. I followed this strange, ominous smell here, but it ended at the skin, and another scent took over as if this person had changed into something different, People all have a similar scent to them. Its something I've grown to know, they all have slight difference, and those differences can be hard to tell apart sometimes, the unknown scent I can track but it ends at the female's body in there. it would be impossible to track the human scent," Jeff responded begrudgingly
"The other investigators say that only a monster can tear someone up like that. Another thing is that the woman's jaw has abnormally sharp canines on both her upper and lower jaw. Not only that, but her muscle structure and eyes are different; her eyes are red, and her muscles are denser than that of most humans". "Well, we can't really say she's inhuman because of her eyes, I'm human, and my eyes are yellow, and as for her muscles, she could have been an athlete of some kind, however, the teeth are strange. we'll test her blood, and for this pile of skin and fur, the skin is clearly human, but the fur, compare it to other animals within Silvport." Jeff stood his hand on his chin, what could have caused this he thought, maybe something really did get past the great wall.
