Chapter 1 - the King's Law

One day, strange creatures appeared on the outskirts of the kingdom, beings that did not belong to the human world. The survivors called them "Shadows". They were powerful, had no faces, and made no sounds, but they killed soldiers and knights without mercy, Leaving behind deserted villages and burning ruins.

With each passing day, the kingdom sank deeper into chaos. The army was unable to stop the advance of the shadows, and gold was becoming scarce as the need for more soldiers and weapons grew. Then, the king issued a harsh decree:

"Every village must pay heavy taxes, or its protection forces will be withdrawn, leaving its people prey to monsters and shadows."

The choice was clear and terrifying—either starve to death by taxes, or be slaughtered by the Shadows.

In the heart of this storm, there was a small fishing village, cut off from the world, where our hero lived. This village had no gold to pay, no strength to fight. As the war went on, the rivers were polluted with corpses and blood, and the fish drowned —Their only source of livelihood—in waters poisoned with death.

And so, the countdown to the village's demise began.
