Three years after the status check that determined his fate, Raka began to realize that there was something special about him. Hidden within him was the power from the game he played before he was trapped in it, an ability called [God Power]. With this power, Raka could do everything he had ever done in the game. However, most of this power was locked, including the [setting] ability which he believed was the way back to his original world. He didn't know how to unlock this, but his determination to find it grew stronger.
On the other hand, Alya, who had great potential, received intensive training from Astra, Stella's clone. Astra applied various harsh and effective training methods to hone Alya's abilities, preparing her for a big role in the future. Meanwhile, Raka, who was considered to have no potential, secretly practiced and experimented with his own abilities, hiding his powers from Astra and Alya.
However, the peace they enjoyed in the remote village did not last long. One day, when Raka was training alone and experimenting with [God Power], suddenly there was a dimensional rift that brought a giant red dragon from another world. The dragon, immediately, flew towards the village and began to destroy everything it saw with its terrible fiery breath.
Astra saw the dragon and immediately acted, trying to save as many villagers as possible while fighting the terrible creature. However, when the situation became more dangerous, the dragon turned its attention to a frightened Alya. In a moment of weakness, Astra protected Alya with her body, sacrificing her life for the child she had cared for since she was little.
Raka arrived too late. Seeing the village destroyed, the bodies of the villagers scattered, and his younger sister crying over the death of her mother, broke his heart. He knew that all of this was not his fault. The feeling of helplessness choked him, making him feel smaller than ever before.
The death of Astra and the destruction of the village quickly reached the ears of Stella and the Temple councilors. They immediately held a meeting to discuss the incident. After a long discussion, Stella suggested that she could take care of Raka and Alya, considering Astra was gone. The councilors, who were worried about their image, felt hesitant. They argued that letting Stella take care of them could worsen public perception.
One of the councilors then proposed that Raka and Alya be placed in an orphanage, but Stella strongly refused. Her maternal instinct could not accept the idea. Then, another councilor proposed another solution: Stella could take Alya as her student and make her the next Saintess candidate. That way, Stella could still be close to her child without damaging the existing image. Besides, Alya had extraordinary potential and the public might agree after seeing her status.
Stella felt relieved by this proposal and agreed. However, the next question arose
"what should be done with Raka?"
The councilors seemed reluctant to discuss Raka further. Finally, one of the councilors suggested that Raka be appointed as a servant at the Holy Star Temple. This way, even though Alya and Raka would be in different social positions, they could still be close to each other. This proposal would also make it easier for Alya's transition as the next Saintess candidate, because from Alya's point of view, Raka was the only family she had left.
Stella reluctantly agreed to the proposal. She realized that this might be the only way for her to keep her children, even though it was not entirely in accordance with her wishes.
