He knew this was the qi that martial artists felt but just as a little qi was produced he stopped and just as expected a domineering energy rose from the same place as the heavenly qi and mercilessly suppressed it.
This energy was even more domineering than the heavenly qi, it seemed to contain all things including the heavenly qi. But similar to the heavenly qi this domineering energy seemed to extremely compatible with him.
As the heavenly qi was suppressed the warm energy that was subdued by the heavenly qi turned berserk. His body was still too young to bear the nature of qi, but thankfully there was only a little qi that had risen.
His little body trembled unceasingly as he bore the pain if the rampaging energy, drops of sweat rising on his brow.
After a while the qi energy settled down as it passed through his body it seemed as though he was making it his as flowed through his body. As it did it subtly strengthened his body and meridians making them a bit stronger.
The painful expression on his face slowly subsided and his trembling body subsided. He opened his eyes, and subtly took a step forward but a painful feeling rose once again.
It seemed that although he had controlled the qi produced it had still hurt his body before it became accustomed to his body. He knew that if he had practiced diligently once he became old enough and produced his own charm then it would have been easier, however he wasn't complaining.
He could feel that his connection to the world had heightened again and the abilities that came with it were back. He heaved a sigh and relief and collapsed on to his bed, hissing in pain at the movement.
When Lin Qing was attending to the household, she wondered why she couldn't see her son jumping energetically around the manor. She quickly called for Wei Lin, inquiring where Wu Tian was.
When she heard that he was still in bed she thought that it was because of last night's activities. She also realized that she had been so busy calming everyone and tending to the household she had forgotten to talk to him.
When she arrived in his room she was surprised to see him looking so weak and pale, she was alarmed "Tianer, are you okay?" she wondered what could have happened. Was it due to the attack yesterday?
Could the stress have caused his injuries to relapse? She quickly called for the doctor who quickly established that the problem was indeed strained meridians though generally a lot milder than last time. He quickly assured her that Wu Tian would be better as long as he got rest and sufficient nutrition.
Wu Tian on hearing this felt thankfull that the doctor hadn't established he had practiced martial arts again or he would definitely have received a mighty tongue lashing from his mother. He knew though that he could forget about getting out of bed that day.
A few days passed as Wu Tian's meridians healed and he could walk normally, he decided to rest for a few days and practice more later. The more he could hold off the painful experience the better.
Now he was fine he could continue to study with scholar Fang who was his current tutor. He taught him literature, etiquette and history. It was from him that he had learned about the current kingdom he was in.
The sky cloud kingdom and its six prefectures, he had learnt about its founding and historical heroes. However he always felt that there was something more to the history that he wasn't being told. He wondered what it was.
After his lessons ended he felt bored, while life in the mansion was good he never had anyone to play with. All the adults seemed busy and he wanted company his own age, thinking of this he wanted to find some playmates.
He decided that maybe it was time to explore the outside of the mansion after all. He wondered how he could get out of the mansion without being stopped by the guards. If they saw the three year old him traipsing off nonchalantly they would definitely port him back with immediate effect. As he pondered this he could feel a certain excitement rise up in him
He quickly started walking towards the mansion entrance and just as he expected he found two guards attentively keeping watch. Just as he watched a wagon arrived at the entrance, it seemed to be carrying kitchen supplies and essentials.
As soon as it pulled up the guards moved to question the owner and make a search. Seeing his chance Wu Tian immediately walked towards the gate he used his diminutive size and the wagons cover to sneakily move past the gate.
As soon as he sneaked past the guards and blended into the crowd Wu Tian felt a sense of naughty exhilaration rise in him. He had never been out of the mansion so he observed everything around him with a sense of exhilaration of wonder.
He had never seen so many people and as they moved to and fro the flow of people carried him with it. Soon, he was hopelessly lost within the city.
He curiously observed everything, his mysterious connection to the world helping him avoid colliding with people. He saw all kinds of shops that sold clothes, some that had appetizing aromas flowing out and tickling Wu Tian's nose. Some of them had friendly looking big sisters in colorful clothes who waved at the people passing by and some had burly looking men hitting metal hard.
As he saw all these Wu Tian was intrigued and completely engrossed in the new scenes. So engrossed in fact that he didn't notice the faint warning of danger from his gift.
He continued walking and exploring seeing the sights until finally he passed through a building where a sweet scent arose. He could see people going on and sitting while others gave the attendant some metal and were given tasty looking food.
He had walked for quite a while and was starting to feel a little famished. Looking around he walked towards the building, and as he entered he looked around curiously. He then headed to a counter and reached for a tasty looking dumpling.
But just as he almost caught it his hand was grabbed. It was the man who seemed to work there, he peered down at Wu Tian, wondering who's twerp this was "Who are you kid? Where are you parents?" He looked around the stall but saw no one own up. He peered down once more at Wu Tian. Looking at his luxurious attire he seemed to be from an affluent family, could he be sent or lost?
