Chapter 2:
The Crimson Stain
Two days later, Raven found herself at a dimly lit bar, nursing a glass of red wine, Raven never got Conners number and wasent sure she would ever see him again but she did hope as she felt a connection to him she was not sure why but she did and she needed to explore that feeling to see if may just if he was her soulmate.
Come Raven you can't say that she said to herself you hardly know Conner but oh how I'd like to get to know him, to taste his lips and smell his scent again, Raven fought with her thoughts she could not believe she was out drinking cause if one fleeted meeting at a gallery.
She'd had one too many, a rare occurrence for the usually composed witch. As she turned to signal the bartender for another, she bumped into someone, sloshing her wine all over his expensive suit.
"Oh, I am so sorry!" she exclaimed, mortified. She grabbed a handful of napkins, attempting to blot the spreading crimson stain.
"It's alright," a deep voice chuckled, "Accidents happen."
Raven looked up and her breath caught in her throat. Standing before her was a man with long, dark hair that framed a face of striking beauty. His eyes, a vibrant green flecked with purple, held a playful glint. There was something familiar about him, a sense of recognition that tugged at her memory. He was the antithesis of Conner's icy elegance, a raw, untamed energy radiating from him.
"I really am terribly sorry," Raven repeated, still flustered. "Let me pay for the dry cleaning."
"Don't worry about it," he said, his smile disarming. "But perhaps you could make it up to me with a drink?"
Raven hesitated. She was already feeling the effects of the wine, and her better judgment told her to walk away. But those green eyes, flecked with purple, held a captivating allure she couldn't resist.
"Alright," she agreed, "One drink."
They talked for hours, the conversation flowing effortlessly.
His name was Rogue, and he had a magnetic personality that drew her in. He was charming, witty, and there was a playful darkness about him that intrigued her. As the night wore on, Raven found herself drawn to him in a way that surprised her. There was a raw, primal desire that stirred within her, a hunger she hadn't felt in years. She suspected he wasn't fully human, a feeling that both thrilled and terrified her. She sensed a darkness, a secret he was hiding, and it only fueled her curiosity.
Rogue, when first seeing Raven was taken aback by her beauty, not knowing how to approach her he went to get a drink and Raven ended up having them meet - Rogue thought you lucky basted now don't blow this, he loved the scent of Raven honey and Rosewater is what she smelt like to him, he thought would a beautiful woman like Raven want to be with a halfling like him?
