Raven Moon

Chapter 1: Emerald and Ice

The scent of aged oak and turpentine hung heavy in the air, a familiar comfort to Raven Moon. Her long, raven hair, an unusual shade somewhere between deep purple and midnight blue, cascaded down her back as she perused the canvases at the art gallery. Emerald green eyes, bright and intelligent, scanned the vibrant colors, searching for something that resonated with her soul. She was meeting friends later for wine and laughter, a rare night out for the solitary witch, but tonight, she felt a pull towards something more.

A figure across the room caught her attention. He was tall, with striking silver hair that shimmered under the gallery lights. His eyes, an icy blue, held a depth that seemed to pierce through her, making her breath catch in her throat. He moved with an effortless grace, a predator surveying his domain. Raven felt an inexplicable pull towards him, a magnetic force that drew her closer.

He turned, his gaze locking with hers. A slow smile spread across his face, revealing a hint of something dangerous lurking beneath the surface. He moved towards her, his eyes never leaving hers, Raven looked around to make sure it was her he was coming to then turned to look at the painting on the wall if abstract modern art, beautiful she said to Conner as he came to stand next to her, she could smell a woody musk scent on him she was take in my the scent is it his natural scent it's Devin she thought to herself.

"Intrigued by the art?" his voice was a low rumble, sending shivers down her spine.

"Something like that," Raven replied, her voice barely a whisper.

"I'm Conner," he said in a sultry voice as he offered, extending a hand. His touch was cold, yet strangely comforting.

Conner could tell Raven was turned on by him but he was not sure what had caused it his looks or the way dressed, he thought only time will tell

"Raven," she responded, her hand meeting his. A jolt of energy passed between them, a spark that ignited a fire within her soul something that she had never felt before but she enjoyed this feeling.

They spent the rest of the evening discussing art, philosophy, and everything in between. Conner's intelligence and wit captivated her, and his icy blue eyes seemed to see right through her defenses. She found herself revealing parts of herself she usually kept hidden, drawn to his enigmatic presence, she wondered what it was that pulled her to him why he had eyes for here when some many others were around that he could have chosen was a mistical creature like herself or just human with powers like hers she wondered.

As the evening drew to a close, a sense of melancholy washed over her as she did not want this to end.

She knew this was something special, something dangerous, and she wasn't sure if she was ready for it.
