Ethan stared at Sophia, he was now a changed man. His gaze was sharp and he was serious. " Why are you here,Sophia? What is it that you mean to tell me?"
Sophia stutters a bit. She looked at Ethan and saw he was different unlike the man she knew she was.
Ethan took a look at his expensive wrist watch. " I am getting up if you are refusing to tell me anything. I have better things to do with my time."
" Can we be friends?" Sophia finally had the courage to ask.
Ethan took a quick glance at her. " Friends? Do you honestly think I would love to be your friend? You stabbed me in the back, Sophia and it hurts."
Having said that, Ethan got up from his seat and walked out on Sophia. His heart was heavy with what he had to go through to love her. Carter on the other hand was having a blast. He finally got what he wanted and went out with some of his friends to celebrate. " I can't believe that you have finally won what you have always wanted." Carrick said with a smile on his face
" But I haven't bedded her yet?" Carter replied, pouring himself a glass of champagne. The rest of Carter's friends all looked at his face. " Tell me you are joking?" One of them asked, staring at his face. " Why are you finding it hard to believe?" Carter replied,looking at one of the ladies in a shining cloth.
" Are you gay?" Carrick asked again, squeezing his face. " I remembered you had also blown the chance when you were this close to sleeping with Fiona."
" I am not gay,Carrick but I want to make the day a memorable one. I never loved Sophia anyways." Carter said nonchalantly, making his friend stare at him. " Wait? Come again." Luke said, puffing the smoke out of the cigarette pen he was holding. " Are you saying everything you have been doing ain't real?"
Carter got up out of his seat and moved towards one of the ladies dancing. He was now a little tipsy, he grabbed the buttocks of the lady standing in front of him and she landed a dirty slap on his face.
Carrick saw what happened and immediately ran towards his friends.
Carter held his face in anger as he stared at the tall slim girl who was beautifully endowed. She had firm buttocks and her breasts were shooting lasers out of the shining cloth she had on. " Did you just slap me?" Carter shouted again at her. He staggered a bit and fell into Carrick's hands.
" You are wasted, let's get you home." Carrick said, grabbing him by the hand. " We need to leave now." he shouted to their friends who were still having a nice time. " Are you coming?"
They all didn't stand you so Carrick decided to drive Carter home in his car.

For the first time in a while Ethan feels good. He was able to humiliate Sophia and also Carter. He knew they didn't believe he was now rich thanks to the Echo system. Ethan knew he had to put to use the money the system was giving to me but the thought of a twenty year old buying cars and fancy objects might raise suspicions inside the school.
He brought out the orb again and smiled seeing the shining object right before his face. It was like his genie lamp and it would give him anything he wanted except the orb was Ethan's master.
Ethan looked at his account balance and saw that he was going broke already. He had managed to pay his tuition fees and also bought some extra textbooks.
He remembered his promise to sponsor the coming charity but he needed to already perform a task to get some cash. Ethan stared at the object again waiting for another task to appear but none came. He walked into the furnished apartment and rested on the sofa. He knew he had to make Sophia jealous and regret leaving him but how.
He had never felt love for any woman the way he had felt it for Sophia. So finding another woman was out of the equation. Ethan was going to make Sophia fall for him again and leave Carter. Little did he know that this was all a game to carter.
Ethan prayed silently hoping the echo system would give him more missions after the last one he managed to accomplish.
The ray of the sun penetrated the room and Ethan woke up. His eyes went slowly to the fancy wall clock right in front of him and he rushed out of bed to take his bath.
He got out in time and raced towards the school. On his arrival, he was hearing some gossip about Carter.
" Have you seen the video?" One of the student said with his hands over his mouth
" Yeah, I did. I can't believe she would slap him across the face. I mean, who would really slap Carter. He is like a god among the male students here." another female students said with anger
Meanwhile, Ethan was listening closely,trying to find out what was really going on. He didn't have any friends and doesn't know much going on in the school.
" Are you wondering about what happened?" A voice came from behind him
Ethan turned and gave a weak smile. " What are they bickering about?"
" Carter was slapped across the face yesterday at an expensive bar lounge." Henry said
" Slapped?" Ethan said,looking at Henry's face.

Ethan knew Carter couldn't hold his liquor. They had been best friends for a long time so he knew he was drunk.
