Doom is not a sense of danger, doom is a threat to life, a looming threat that guarantees certain death. The greatest entities always bloom from this situation.
Doom, certain doom, death, ah yes, they feel the same, the only thing separating doom and death is a moment, a single moment, that's all it takes to die, to feel that eery chilling cold running up your spine, your soul exhausting, the feeling of death is terrifying and powerful and this feeling of death can be felt even when a person isn't dead, in a moment of doom, you can feel death.
What they both felt that very moment was very certainly the feeling of death, Dustin stood up as if the killing intent, the sheer feeling of death was nothing to him and shielded Jonas.
'im not gonna let this thing take away the only thing precious to me, even if I have to die, I'm worthless anyways, but you, you have a life!' He was finally acting like an mc, he turned back to look at Jonas frozen in fear, mixed with shock from Dustin's action.
And Dustin said with a warm smile on his face
"Run, my friend, you won't lose your light here"and he stretched his arms to block Jonas, Jonas's eys widened in surprise "Run you dumb fuck!!" He yelled at Jonas, he was trying his final cool last minute act to save face and Jonas was staring like a zombie.
Jonas half knelt and muttered under his breathe "ah, I see, even someone as weak as him is willing to sacrifice himself for the good of others, that is the hero quality."
Dustin was exasperated, he had an annoyed look mixed with confusion on his face 'does he always have to do this? I was just about to do something cool for once and he stole the spotlight again'
Jonas stood up fully and said "don't worry Dustin, it's not your time to die"
he spoke boldly this time, the wave of energy circulating round his veins started vibrating violently, it mixed with his blood, and changed his blood color from red to black to violet, to green it was fluctuating, changing colours like a glitch
"I know what I must do now " he said looking directly at the monster.
[ASKLAR AHOO SHARATA] Dustin's eyes widened as soon as he heard the monster utter unknown words and all it's busted eyes regenerated immediately, it's head closed up with patches and scars still remains on top, it wasn't a perfect regeneration.
"I .will .end .you." Jonas said coldly, slowly and menacingly, but his face calm, and the colour of his blood changed to complete white, no.. it wasn't white, it was white like, bright, it was light, his blood had been replaced with light, he was like a living generator, he generated heat around the entire environment
it was a choking aura, his body changed and he was filled with a white mass of light swirling around his whole body like clothes, he had lost himself to anger.
He lifted his hand and pointed his index finger directly to the head of the monster, the huge monster and a bright energy, so bright, so pure, so.... Brilliant, but was very deadly.
Boom, the head of the monster degraded, like plastic degrading in sunlight, the head melted down from the heat of the light and Dustin stood there with a poker face looking at Jonas
"let's see you regenerate from that" Jonas said as all his body system shut down from over heating and his blood went back to normal, he fainted as an after effect of using too much powers and Dustin caught him just before he fell to the ground, he slapped him as revenge.
'He's simply... Amazing, Jonas, he's my saviour' he said in his mind
"Time to take you home buddy" Dustin said to Jonas who had already passed out as he put him on his back and carried him on his back, leaving his bag of cocaine and anything else he had with him.
He looked at the monster that was headless, he stared at it for a while and he wondered where on Earth that massive terrifying thing came from.
He then shook his head, clicked his tongue
"I'm gonna be the one to save you next time" He said this even knowing that he has no way of saving Jonas who was like a superhuman.
"Fucking annoying, just wait, when you wake up, you're gonna tell me everything about why you can fight like Kal el" he gritted his teeth and took Jonas somewhere safe.
