Chapter 3 - A Hidden Fact

As the sisters turned the enchanted pages, their eyes widened at the wonders unfolding before them. Ethereal landscapes shimmered with colors that seemed borrowed from dreams, while ancient symbols danced along the edges of the illustrations.

But then, something unusual caught their attention. Amid the swirling images, a faint outline began to emerge — a map subtly embedded within the artwork. The lines were delicate but unmistakable, curving and winding across the page like veins of gold.

Alexandra leaned in, her brows furrowing in curiosity. "Starlet… this map… doesn't it look like Andrellinia?"

Starlet's chestnut-brown eyes narrowed as she studied the intricate design. The more she traced the pathways and landmarks with her gaze, the more familiar it seemed. "You're right," she whispered. "That's the River Eldrin... and here's the Moonlit Forest." Her finger hovered over a patch of dense greenery depicted on the map.

But something was strange. Several places marked on this mysterious map were missing from the official kingdom charts they had studied since childhood. There were valleys they had never heard of, glowing lakes shimmering with magic, and ancient ruins nestled within vast meadows.

"Look here," Alexandra pointed to a shimmering symbol etched near the southern edge. "This place doesn't exist on any map we've seen."

Starlet's heart raced. "Or maybe it does, and no one knows about it."

The sisters exchanged a glance, excitement mingled with uncertainty. Why would a hidden map be embedded in an enchanted book? And what secrets lay in the uncharted lands it revealed?

"We have to find out," Starlet declared, her voice steady with determination. "There's more to Andrellinia than we've been told."

Alexandra nodded, her blue eyes gleaming with resolve. "But how do we even begin?"

Starlet's gaze returned to the shimmering map. "The book led us here for a reason," she said thoughtfully. "Maybe it will guide us further."

As if in response, a faint glow spread across the map, illuminating a winding path that pulsed with golden light. The sisters gasped as the map shimmered with energy, as though awakening to their resolve.

Their ordinary afternoon in the library had transformed into the beginning of an extraordinary journey — one that promised secrets, adventure, and perhaps a destiny far greater than they had ever imagined.

"This is strange," Starlet murmured, her voice tinged with wonder. Her fingers traced the glowing lines of the map, pausing at a mysterious valley marked with swirling symbols. "Why are these places not on our current map?"

Alexandra leaned closer, her blue eyes flickering with curiosity. "Maybe it's an ancient version of Andrellinia," she suggested, though uncertainty lingered in her tone. "Or perhaps..."

Her voice trailed off as a thrill of excitement sparked between them. What if this map revealed something that had been long forgotten — places hidden from the kingdom's knowledge, veiled by time and secrecy?

Starlet's heart quickened at the thought. "What if this map shows the Andrellinia that *once was*... or the Andrellinia that still exists, just beyond our sight?"

Alexandra's breath caught. "Hidden lands," she whispered, the idea both exhilarating and a little daunting.

They sat in silence for a moment, the weight of the discovery settling over them like a cloak. The library, once a place of quiet study, now felt charged with possibility. Sunlight streamed through the stained-glass windows, casting shimmering hues across the table, as though the very air acknowledged the significance of their find.

"We have to find out," Starlet said, her voice steady with resolve.

"But how?" Alexandra asked, her brow furrowing in thought. "Father's advisors have combed through every corner of Andrellinia for years. If these places were real, wouldn't someone have found them?"

Starlet's eyes gleamed. "Not if they were hidden by magic," she said softly.

The words hung between them, daring and bold.

Alexandra's lips curled into a smile. "I suppose there's only one way to find out."

With that, the sisters knew their quiet days of reading and dreaming were over. The map had revealed a path not just through their kingdom, but toward a destiny neither of them could have imagined.

The adventure was calling — and they were ready to answer.

Will they Discover the truth behind the book?
