How to begin my story?
I was a man of 20 years of age. My life was something which could be described in one word- miserable. Why you may ask?
Well, I was lying on my death bed waiting for death. Waiting for death on the death bead; something poetic if you think so.
I had been born in quiet a rich and affluent family and should have had a comfortable life. But fate was not in my favour.
In my childhood, immediately after my birth, I had been affected by a terminal illness with no available cure for the illness. The illness left me weak and most of my time was spent on my bed.
This was not the end of it. Along with this incapacity to have a normal life, I suffered tremendous amount of pain on regular intervals. The pain made me go crazy and I could nothing but cry in agony.
Despite all my sufferings, I never cursed the gods, heavens, fate or whatever one may call it. All because of the family I had.
My family comprised of my parents and two elder siblings. They adored me with all what they could.
To be honest, I was extremely lucky to have been blessed with such a family. The condition I was in, a lot of people would have abandoned me without a second thought but my family held on to me.
In all my agony and the pain, I suffered, apart from my family- books were one thing which kept me indulged. I had hobby of collecting and gathering knowledge. Online videos also played an important part in it.
Finally, the day arrived when I would leave this miserable forever. I felt the death slowly approaching towards me and honestly, I was happy.
I would be free of the curse, of the pain and the agony and suffering. I knew that after I was gone, the heart of my parents and siblings would not have to ache any further seeing me cry in pain.
Although they would be in grief for a very long time about my death, they would be free from the pain and helplessness they felt whenever they saw me suffering.
I thought of my family one more time before I closed my eyes and my soul was whisked away from this body.
I do not know how or why but I found myself floating in a very dark place. I could not see or even feel my body. Actually, other than darkness I could see nothing.
It was at this moment when something stirred and some strange sounds echoed in the surroundings. And weirdly enough, I could understand it all.
You are one of a kind, boy. People in your condition, even if they don't believe in my existence, curse at me for their entire life.
On the other hand, you never uttered a word against me in your entire life of 20 years. Even though you were not truly a believer in me, you considered yourself lucky to blessed with such a family. I truly admire your character, boy.
So, I have granted you another life. Enjoy as much as you could. Don't take too much burden and do what you want to do.
I felt as if the voice was gone, but it boomed again.
Oh! And to help in your journey, I have granted you some gifts.
Firstly, you will have a greatly enhanced physique and great mastery of fighting skills and weapon skills. Your comprehensive abilities and the capacity of the brain would also be top notch.
Secondly, you will be able to summon one weapon of your choice. It would be leagues apart of anything your new world has to offer.
Thirdly, on your journey you will have to choose a few companions. So, I have granted you the ability to give your blood essence to three people who are willing to bow down to you. Although the essence will not make them as strong as you but will definitely make them much better than an average human.
And finally, the place where you would be going is very close to nature and is yet to be polluted by what you humans call industrial pollution. You would have a certain relation… certain understanding and authority over the animals of your world.
Have a magnificent life ahead… my child.
