Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Selling Her First High-Quality Produce

The sun had barely risen when Li Qingyun stepped into her farming space, the rich scent of fertile soil filling her senses. The vegetables she had planted just a few days ago had already grown to perfection, their leaves greener and thicker than anything found in the regular fields.

This was the power of her farming space.

Fresh. Nutrient-rich. Perfect.

Today was an important day—she would introduce high-quality produce to the market for the first time.

Harvesting the Best

Qingyun moved swiftly, carefully selecting the largest, healthiest cabbages and the most fragrant scallions. She also gathered a small batch of carrots and radishes, which had grown crisp and vibrant under the space's mystical environment.

After filling her basket, she stepped out of the farming space and stored it in a safe corner of the abandoned shed.

As she left the shed, her younger brother, Li Jun, ran up to her, excitement on his face.

"Jiejie, are you selling vegetables again today?"

She smiled. "Yes. But today, we're selling the best ones. Do you want to help me?"

Li Jun's eyes sparkled. "Yes!"

Qingyun handed him a smaller basket filled with some regular vegetables she had grown outside, just in case someone became suspicious of the quality difference.

Together, they set off for town.

A Market Full of Challenges

By the time they arrived, the market was already buzzing with activity. Vendors shouted out their prices, customers haggled, and the air was filled with the scent of fresh produce and cooking food.

Qingyun walked to her usual spot and began arranging her vegetables.

Almost immediately, customers noticed the difference.

"Eh? Look at these cabbages! They're so fresh and crisp!"

"The scallions smell amazing. Young lady, how much for one bunch?"

Qingyun smiled. "Scallions are two copper coins per bunch, and cabbages are five copper coins each."

A woman frowned. "That's higher than the usual market price."

Qingyun lifted a cabbage and gently peeled off a leaf, revealing its juicy, tender inside. "Try it, Auntie. You'll see why it's worth it."

The woman hesitated, then took a bite. Her eyes widened.

"This is incredible! So sweet and crisp—how did you grow this?"

Qingyun gave a secretive smile. "Just proper care and good soil."

Winning Over Customers

Soon, more people gathered around her stall, curious about the exceptional quality of her vegetables.

One of them was the same food stall owner she had sold to before, Uncle Wu.

He picked up a carrot and examined it closely. "This looks better than anything I've bought in town. What's your price?"

"Three copper coins per carrot," Qingyun said confidently.

Uncle Wu's brow raised. "That's higher than normal."

"Try it," Qingyun suggested.

He took a bite—and immediately, his face lit up. "Crisp, juicy, and naturally sweet… I'll take ten carrots, five cabbages, and twenty bunches of scallions."

The surrounding customers gasped.

If a well-known food stall owner was buying in bulk, then the vegetables must be worth the price!

Within two hours, Qingyun had sold out completely.

Li Jun stared at the heavy pouch of copper coins in Qingyun's hands, eyes wide with admiration. "Jiejie, you made more money than ever today!"

Qingyun patted his head. "This is just the start."

A Threat in the Shadows

As she packed up, she felt a pair of hostile eyes watching her from afar.

Turning slightly, she spotted Aunt Liu and a few other vendors, their faces dark with anger.

One of them whispered, "That girl is stealing all our customers."

Aunt Liu's lips curled into a sneer. "Don't worry. Let's see how long she lasts."

Qingyun's expression remained calm, but inside, her heart turned cold.

Let them try.

She wasn't the same weak girl from her past life.

If they wanted to compete, she would crush them completely.
