Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 Escape

The spaceship's jet ports began to open one by one, and scorching flames shot out.

T231 slowly ascended; it had only been a few seconds since the spaceship took off, and it began to adjust its flight direction.

After adjusting the direction, T231 took off, and the spaceship started to leave the interstellar airport.

The Boarding General arrived at the cockpit with a group of soldiers, and no one dared to obstruct them.

"Get away from Bellock Star as fast as possible."

The Captain piloting the spaceship was a calm middle-aged man, his brows furrowed, his face filled with a serious expression, his eyes fixed on the screen in front of him.

Although it was a civilian spaceship, it was still equipped with some very practical tools.

For example, the scanner; along the entire flight path, there were red dots everywhere.

He kept adjusting the flight route, feeling that something was off today; controlling the spaceship felt unusually smooth, and the system was automatically providing route planning suggestions that were surprisingly accurate.

There was none of the previous difficulty he had experienced when trying to start the spaceship.

In a storage room, the ventilation panel on the ceiling was moved aside, and Qianlong jumped down from above.

He couldn't help but let out a deep breath, relieved that he hadn't misremembered the route Phantom had shown him.

Qianlong glanced around; boxes were piled up everywhere. He walked to one of the boxes, which was unlocked, and opened it to find it filled with mechanical parts, likely for maintaining the spaceship.

At that moment, the spaceship shook violently, and Qianlong nearly lost his balance, struggling to steady himself.

The entire spaceship was filled with the sound of alarms, the piercing sirens echoing throughout.

"Attacked?" Qianlong thought in confusion.

In the cockpit, the Captain was continuously inputting commands to regain balance for the spaceship.

The General standing behind him swallowed hard, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. The earlier tremor was not due to an attack. Instead, another spaceship had chosen the same flight path as theirs, and when the two spaceships flew side by side, the other spaceship was attacked and exploded in mid-air, the shockwave causing their spaceship to lose balance.

Time passed second by second, and the Captain kept inputting commands; the various parameters of the spaceship began to slowly stabilize, and the tilted spaceship gradually righted itself.

When the data returned to a safe range, the alarm ceased.

The Captain decisively pushed the power to maximum.

The entire power room of the spaceship emitted a loud buzzing noise, and flames shot out from the rear of the spaceship.

The immense inertia caused everyone to lean back; just as they had all breathed a sigh of relief, they were immediately pulled back up again.

Qianlong lay on the ground; such great inertia was likely due to the spaceship accelerating, which was not a bad thing. After all, the sooner they left this planet, the safer they would be.

Qianlong remembered clearly that Father had once taught him not to attempt to fight the Zerg without a strong regular army, as their numbers were far greater than one could imagine.

He had thought it was just knowledge imprinted in his mind, but he never expected it to manifest right before him.

The T231 spaceship successfully exited the atmosphere, but everyone in the cockpit did not fully relax; who knew if there were Zerg outside.

The T231 spaceship successfully entered space, and the scanner screen was still filled with countless red dots. Whether it was the blessing of the goddess of luck or something else, those bugs did not come looking for trouble; instead, they surged madly towards Bellock Star.

Qianlong exited the storage room and walked into the corridor, pulling up external images on the corridor wall.

He could see the spaceship leaving Bellock Star, the planet growing increasingly distant. In the distance, he could see several spaceships escaping from Bellock Star.

However, Qianlong was certain that the number of people who had escaped was nothing compared to the entire population of Bellock Star.

The speed of the fall was unimaginable; there was no resistance at all, not even on the same level. Were these really just the most ordinary Zerg?

Qianlong felt a bit lost; why did Father know so much? Perhaps this mystery could only be solved by finding him, or perhaps he would never know.

In the tension between life and death, his nerves remained taut, and he felt no sensation.

As Qianlong relaxed, he felt extremely fatigued and couldn't help but sit down, feeling very confused.

In fact, he didn't even know where they were headed; the destination of this spaceship was also an unknown. Phantom had fallen into a deep sleep, and he didn't know how long it would take. He hoped it wouldn't be too long; he felt even more alone.

After three hours of safe flight, the red dots on the scanner screen finally transitioned from densely packed to sparse, and then to invisible. Everyone in the cockpit let out a sigh of relief, their hearts slowly easing. They didn't know whether to be grateful for escaping death or to feel sorrow for their home, which had been destroyed, existing only as a tragic story that had now become a reality above their heads.

At that moment, a fat man dressed in luxurious clothing walked in, wiping the sweat from his forehead.

"Jia Wei, are we safe?"

Jia Wei respectfully replied, "Young Master, we are safe."

"Then where are we going?" The fat man's voice trembled slightly, likely still not fully calmed down.

Jia Wei looked at the Captain and asked, "Where does this spaceship plan to fly?"

The Captain remained silent, quietly opening the star map, then spoke in a somewhat dry voice.

"We're lucky; this spaceship has sufficient fuel. According to the originally designed route, we will head to Borosi Planet, which is behind us. Let's hope they haven't been attacked."

Jia Wei's expression darkened as he looked at the middle-aged Captain.

"What do you mean by that?"

"I don't know if it's a coincidence, but the direction those bugs are flying towards is the same as the direction they came from," the middle-aged Captain said heavily.

The fat man immediately jumped up, "Shut up! Don't talk nonsense! Those bugs shouldn't have appeared in the first place. Even if they did, it must be the Felas Defense Force's negligence that let them in, and they came from in front of us, how could they possibly come from behind?"

The fat man before him didn't seem as foolish as one might imagine; at the very least, he had basic common sense.

The middle-aged Captain remained silent for a long time before saying, "There's nothing strange about it; the bugs that shouldn't have appeared are now right in front of us."

Jia Wei said to the fat man, "Young Master, you should go back and rest. We'll take care of the rest."

The fat man barely controlled his inner fear; in fact, his vehement rebuttal of the Captain's words was also a way to comfort himself.

"Alright, then I'll leave it to you." The fat man walked out of the cockpit.

Jia Wei looked at the Captain and asked, "How likely is your possibility?"

The middle-aged Captain smiled bitterly, "I'm not sure either."

Jia Wei's expression changed several times, and finally, he said to his subordinate beside him.

"Keep an eye on them."

"Yes."

Jia Wei left the cockpit, and his mood did not improve significantly; the Captain's words lingered like an unshakeable shadow in his mind.
