Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Hijacking

Interstellar pirates, Qianlong also felt a bit dazed; what was going on? Everything had collided together.

In fact, the one with the worst expression was Jia Wei. He was so angry he wanted to curse; how could they be targeted by interstellar pirates? Standing in the command room, Jia Wei pointed his gun at the Captain's head and said, "Tell them we surrender, let them come aboard."

It was obvious that this was just a civilian spaceship, and it was impossible to compete with the pirates' modified ships. However, once they boarded, things could change.

Jia Wei had no intention of giving up so easily; falling into the hands of pirates would not end well.

The Captain, following Jia Wei's instructions, sent a message of surrender to the pirate ship.

"We surrender, don't attack us."

"Don't try any tricks, open the spaceship's control permissions."

The pirates were not foolish; they did not let their guard down just because the other side surrendered. It seemed they were seasoned criminals.

The Captain glanced at Jia Wei.

"Give it to him," Jia Wei said darkly.

"Okay, I'll open the spaceship's control permissions right away," the Captain replied to the pirates.

Jia Wei put away his gun and left with his men.

As for the other people fleeing, they had no way out; all they could do was hide in the corners, trembling.

Without any surprises, the spaceship began to approach the pirate ship.

The two spaceships were about to connect.

Qianlong believed a bloody fight was inevitable; he just didn't know who would win. Of course, it seemed that no matter who won, it wouldn't be a good thing; the best outcome would be both sides suffering heavy losses.

Jia Wei and his subordinates hid in the blind spot of the corridor, and the method to win was simple: take advantage of the moment when the two spaceships connected to forcibly board the interstellar pirates' ship and seize their spaceship.

With a loud crash, the two spaceships docked.

The hatches aligned, and the passage connected. The connecting door slowly opened, and a large number of pirates rushed in excitedly; it was a feast.

Jia Wei waved his hand, "Go."

The pirates rushing in were not even happy for long before armed soldiers emerged from both sides of the corridor and began to counterattack.

"Damn! It's a trap!"

Screams echoed as pirates fell in terror.

Jia Wei led his men toward the pirate ship; this ship had lost control, and their only chance of victory was to seize the other ship.

Under normal circumstances, the pirate ship would have disconnected upon realizing the situation was dire.

However, the pirates did not retreat; instead, they began to fight back.

This unusual behavior gave Jia Wei a very bad feeling.

At that moment, heavy footsteps could be heard approaching.

With each step, the corridor shook.

A Light mech emerged from the rear corridor, and the pirates immediately showed excited expressions.

"The boss is here."

Seeing the mech, Jia Wei shouted, "Retreat!"

The mech raised its hand, and dark gun barrels extended out. Unfortunately, this mech was also specially modified, equipped with many light weapons designed for combat inside spaceships.

"Roar!"

A barrage of gunfire erupted, and the soldiers Jia Wei brought were instantly turned into a mass of holes.

Jia Wei leaped and hid around a corner.

Suddenly, a hole opened under the mech's arm, and a 93-caliber cannon barrel extended out.

An explosive round shot out.

With a massive explosion, Jia Wei, who had escaped to the corner, was thrown back by the shockwave, landing on the ground, his lower body completely gone.

Blood stained the entire metal floor, and he was dead without a doubt.

Human life can sometimes be incredibly resilient, yet at other times, it is so fragile.

After Jia Wei's death, there was no way to stop the pirates' advance.

A rough voice came from the mech, "Kill them all, eliminate every resisting person."

Hearing their boss's voice, the pirates charged forward frantically.

When Qianlong saw a large number of pirates rushing in, he knew that those people had lost, and they had lost quickly; the strengths of both sides were not on the same level at all.

Everyone present showed expressions of despair; there was nothing worse than this.

"What should we do with these people, boss?"

A bald man wearing lightweight individual armor and sporting a stubbly beard walked in, his fierce gaze scanning everyone.

"Take all the women, leave the men on this spaceship to be packed up and sold later."

"Got it."

The pirates rubbed their hands together excitedly.

Qianlong lowered his head, unsure of what he was thinking.

The pirates moved into the crowd, directly grabbing women and kicking aside the nearby men, starting their plunder.

The scene instantly descended into chaos, filled with pleas, cries, and various sounds echoing throughout the hall.

Qianlong squinted; the pirate leader seemed to be that bald man in lightweight individual armor. The model didn't appear to be an advanced one, and it couldn't provide all-around protection against all damage, so there was still a chance.

Taking advantage of the chaos, Qianlong quietly moved toward the pirate leader.

As he passed a little girl, she glanced at Qianlong.

Qianlong made a shushing gesture.

The bald man twisted his neck; he didn't think the noise was bothersome; in fact, he enjoyed it.

Unbeknownst to him, Qianlong had already gotten close. Suddenly, Qianlong sprang up and charged at the bald man.

The bald man was startled; he reacted just in time to raise his gun.

Before he could process what was happening, Qianlong vanished from in front of him.

The other gun strapped to his waist was snatched away by Qianlong.

In the next second, Qianlong pressed the gun against the bald man's head.

"Move, and I'll kill you."

The other pirates finally reacted, aiming their weapons at Qianlong, and a standoff ensued.

"You think you can escape by taking me hostage?" the bald man said with a sideways glance, remaining remarkably calm and unflustered.

Qianlong ignored the bald man's words and said, "Remove your individual armor; you have five seconds, or I'll kill you. You can try."

In fact, the bald man had been careless; he hadn't put on the helmet of his individual armor. He never expected such a situation to arise, but it was understandable; he thought there would be no resistance, otherwise, he wouldn't have come down from the Light mech.

"Kid, you're ruthless."

The bald man could tell Qianlong was not joking; he removed his individual armor.

The connection clasps of the individual armor slid open and fell to the ground.

The bald man had considered fighting back, but he truly had no confidence; this young man was simply too abnormal, not like a normal person.

The two sides remained in a standoff, neither willing to back down, and in fact, there was no way to retreat.

For Qianlong, there was no way out; being captured by the pirates would surely end badly. Even if he captured this bald man, the pirates would not back down. If Qianlong dared to let the bald man go, no matter what conditions he offered, he would still not escape, because the spaceship was under pirate control. As for the small escape pod, not to mention whether there was enough fuel, if he dared to fly out, he would definitely be shot down.

As for taking the bald man hostage to leave, would the pirates agree? Even if they did, they might just kill him together; the pirate world was colder and more brutal than one could imagine.

At that moment, a communication signal connected to the bald man's wristband.

The wristband kept beeping, but the bald man did not answer.

Qianlong reached out and tapped the bald man's wristband, and a panicked voice came through.
