Chapter 2 - Counting Sheep

Xervanon-VI 800136, Bijoux.

  The Loss Of "The Sibylline"

The once star-lit sky, illuminated by the shine of Albireo, crumbled into an abyss left with the loud tremors of the Claymorian army stepping foot into yet another land to destroy. This is what they are best at, leaving the dreams and hopes of the innocent futile. In light seconds, another hustling and bustling planet was now a barren sphere. The grounds filled with the blessings of the abundance were now filled with the blood of those with the broken attempt to fight for it, the echoes of the screams of the mothers who lost their children, the sorrow of the wives widowed, the cries of children who were orphaned, and the acceptance of the old who waited those last years of their lives for death to embrace them in a cold hug.

Those cold ruthless eyes would only watch, feeling might upon his 'achievement'. People? No pawns were what this man saw them as. The divines were nothing but children playing for this man. He found people who hated him amusing. Why? Because he can.

This is just the sad truth about what people with power can do. While the poor pray to the divines above in Bijoux the ones with power relish their pain and suffering. It's quite sad to see beings on one planet turn into dust on another.

"The Claymore's selfish and careless acts have disturbed yet another system which harbored peace.." The words escaped out and ended with a sigh from Zirayor. Aida looked up from the projection panel and nodded in confirmation. "They've been digging their way through Bijoux's internal core too establishing a gravity well between Lynxces and Aurigaera. Of the 37.66 % mapped internal core, they've already managed to take 9.82% into their territorial palette." Zirayor's mood worsened upon hearing this as he held his head in his hands presenting his frustration. The gracious ornaments passed down by the divines were now scattered in bits. "This just loosens a path for war.. Xervonians have been wiped out almost entirely except for the slaves that were taken in.. we've lost the damn path for Sibylline again." Aida studied the charts carefully as a slight hum cut through the heavy silence building up, "That may be true but since fate's path keeps changing due to the outbreak in the destiny flow we might have a chance again. Cygnus is still in bad shape, but Malakai has taken responsibility for it, so you shouldn't worry too much." Zirayor let out a breathy and heavy sigh that vividly expressed his exhaustion, he looked up at the sheets of paper scattered around the many desks, searching for one in particular. As his gaze roamed around the sea of documents it halted at a map at which when he examined he spoke with evident fatigue "Just… chart for a path towards The cosmos, I have a slight pang of hope of finding one of the 7 survivors of Xervanon there." Aida nodded and got to work immediately.
