As they journeyed through the Riverlands, Jack couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. He kept looking over his shoulder, expecting to see someone lurking in the shadows.
Daenerys noticed his unease and rode up beside him. "What's wrong, Jack?" she asked.
"I don't know," Jack replied. "I just feel like we're being watched."
Daenerys nodded thoughtfully. "We are being watched," she said. "By the Freys, by the Lannisters, by all the other lords and ladies who want to see me fail. But we won't let them intimidate us. We'll show them the strength of the Targaryen dragon."
As they approached the Twins, the seat of House Frey, Jack could feel the tension building. The Freys were notorious for their treachery, and Jack knew that they would stop at nothing to get what they wanted.
As they entered the great hall, Jack's eyes scanned the room, searching for any signs of danger. He spotted Walder Frey, the Lord of the Crossing, sitting at the head of the table.
"Welcome, Daenerys," Walder Frey said, his voice dripping with malice. "I see you've brought your... pet with you."
Jack felt a surge of anger at the insult, but Daenerys just smiled. "Yes, Lord Frey," she said. "Jack is a valuable member of my team. And I'm sure he would be happy to demonstrate his skills for you."
Walder Frey raised an eyebrow. "Oh? And what skills might those be?"
Daenerys just smiled. "Why don't you ask him yourself, Lord Frey?"
Walder Frey's eyes narrowed, and he turned to Jack. "Very well," he said. "I challenge you to a duel, Jack. If you win, I'll give Daenerys the support she needs. But if you lose... well, let's just say that things won't go well for you."
Jack felt a surge of adrenaline at the challenge. He knew that he had to win, no matter what.
"I accept your challenge, Lord Frey," Jack said, drawing his sword.
The duel was intense, with both Jack and Walder Frey's champion exchanging blows and parrying attacks. But in the end, Jack emerged victorious, his sword pressed to the champion's throat.
Walder Frey's face turned red with rage, but Daenerys just smiled. "It seems that Jack has won the day, Lord Frey," she said. "I expect you to uphold your end of the bargain."
Walder Frey's eyes narrowed, but he nodded. "Very well," he said. "I'll give you the support you need, Daenerys. But mark my words, this isn't the end of this. You haven't seen the last of me."
As they left the Twins, Jack couldn't shake the feeling that they were in grave danger. The Freys were notorious for their treachery, and Jack knew that they would stop at nothing to get what they wanted.
But Daenerys just smiled. "Don't worry, Jack," she said. "We'll be fine. We have each other, and we have the dragons. What more could we need?"
As they rode off into the sunset, Jack couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. The shadows were deepening, and he knew that they were running out of time.
