Chapter 4 - The Riverlands

The journey to the Riverlands was long and arduous, but Jack was determined to prove himself. He rode alongside Daenerys, his eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of danger.

As they rode, Daenerys told Jack more about the Lords of the Trident, the powerful nobles who ruled over the Riverlands. She explained that they were a fractious and quarrelsome bunch, always vying for power and influence.

"But they are also fiercely loyal," Daenerys said. "If we can win their trust, they will be valuable allies in our quest for the Iron Throne."

Jack nodded, taking Daenerys' words to heart. He knew that building alliances was crucial in the world of Westeros, where the line between friend and foe was often blurred.

As they approached the seat of the Lords of the Trident, Jack could feel the tension building. The air was thick with the smell of smoke and sweat, and the sound of clanging steel echoed through the air.

Daenerys led the way, her dragons flying overhead as they entered the great hall of the Lords of the Trident. The nobles were gathered around the table, their faces stern and unyielding.

"Welcome, Daenerys Stormborn," one of the nobles said, a tall, gaunt man with a scar above his eyebrow. "We have been expecting you."

Daenerys smiled, her eyes glinting with amusement. "I am glad to be here, Lord Blackwood," she said. "I come bearing gifts and proposals of alliance."

The nobles leaned forward, their eyes narrowing as they listened to Daenerys' words. Jack watched, his eyes scanning the room for any sign of treachery.

As the negotiations continued, Jack found himself growing more and more restless. He could feel the weight of the nobles' gaze upon him, their suspicion and hostility palpable.

And then, suddenly, one of the nobles spoke up. "We will not ally with you, Daenerys," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "You are a usurper, a pretender to the throne. We will not support your claim."

Daenerys' face darkened, her eyes flashing with anger. "Very well," she said. "If you will not ally with me, then perhaps you will ally with my... associate."

She gestured to Jack, who stepped forward, his eyes locked on the nobles. "I am Jack, Daenerys' champion," he said. "And I will not be ignored."

The nobles sneered, their faces twisting with contempt. "You think you can intimidate us, boy?" one of them spat. "We are the Lords of the Trident, and we will not be threatened by a mere servant."

Jack smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "I am no servant," he said. "I am a warrior, a fighter. And I will not be underestimated."

The nobles laughed, their faces reddening with anger. "We will see about that," one of them snarled, drawing his sword.

And with that, the battle began.
