Jane shared a look with Jared is apologized "Look we are sorry, we just wanted to get along with you" she said
"And why do you want to be friends with me?" Kasela asked
"Having friends isn't bad and you look like a nice person, so we though we should approach you" Jane said and Jared nodded his head.
"Moreover we know who spread those rumours" Jared said
Kasela whipped her head towards him with questions in her eyes.
"It was Maximus" he answered and Kasela's eyes widened wondering why Maximus would do that.
She felt goosebumps at the thought of seeing him again. Oddly she wish Regalus was around. At that time Brenda appeared with a frown on her face. Seeing Kasela's pale face, she moved to her ignoring the two students who sat with her.
"Are you okay?" She asked gently and Kasela shook her head and stood up.
She walked past Brenda heading to her dorm, Brenda gave Jane a look but Jane merely shrugged her shoulder and Brenda left. Kasela sat in her room in deep thoughts. She thought of calling her aunt but she dismissed the idea as she didn't want to bother her. The door opened and Brenda entered
"You must have the rumours" Kasela said without lifting up her head.
"Yeah, I'm sorry I hadn't told you about it, I heard it yesterday when I went to the canteen, some students were whispering about it" Brenda answered.
Kasela bit her lips "This...this rumour has make me quite popular. I am now the center if attention" Kasela said bitterly.
Coupled with Maximus reputation, she will now be avoided by everyone. "Patricia confronted me over that... Maximus....she likes him' Kasela informed Brenda
"Honestly I wonder what she sees in that bully, I hope she didn't trouble you a lot" Brenda asked.
"No, I denied knowing Maximus and told her I have no interest in him" Kasela said and took a bottle of water from the table. She unscrewed the cap and drank from it.
"So what are you going to do now, confront him and ask him to stop the rumor? Brenda asked and Kasela looked at her as if you had grown two heads.
"Of course not, I wouldn't do that, he terrifies me and moreover the rumour will die down" Kasela said nonchalantly.
"It won't die down easily" Brenda said and left.
Few minutes later, she entered with two shopping bags in her hands "I got this for you" she said and handed the bags to Kasela.
Kasela collected it and peered inside, she looked Brenda and back inside the bags.
"This..... Kasela stammered and poured the contents of the bags on the bed. She picked up a red sleeveless dress with intricate designs and looked at it, she dropped it and picked a short mini Jean skirt and a jean jacket that went with the top. She sighed and picked up the silver high heels.
"Are we going for a party?"
Brenda stifled a laugh "No I bought these for you, just take it as my first gift to you"
"Uh...thanks...but .... I don't put on tight fitting clothes, moreover this skirt is too short" Kasela complained as she looked at the red sleeveless dress.
"Come on, you need to look good at least once in a while, moreover those loose clothes you put on always hides a girl's lovely curves" Brenda said exasperatedly.
She noticed most of Kasela's clothes were loose. They were good and attractive quite alright but she needed to put on something sexy for once, they were in a school and not a cathedral.
"Sometimes the school has events and you will need a good wear so keep those clothes" Brenda said when she noticed Kasela folding the clothes to hand it back to her. Kasela sighed as she open her wardrobe and placed the bags inside.
"I'll be leaving now" Brenda announced and left.
Kasela walked to the window and stood there watching outside. Her room was at the second floor of the school dormitory. From where she stood she could see the gate and the building located a little far away from the right hand side of the school. She was curious about who owned the building. Just then a black SUV drove into the school, Kasela watched the car move into the car park and stopped. A girl she could identify as Bianca emerged from the front seat and her two friends emerged from the back. They were all dressed in tight fitting black trousers and a crop top that exposed their slender and curvy figures. They all moved to their hostels. The senior and junior classes and dorms were different and separated. The Juniors didn't go there often as some of the senior students were bossy and rude. Kasela noticed that the final year students were permitted to leave the school at will and the rules didn't apply to them.
