Kasela stood at the window for a long time and her thoughts drifted off to Regalus wondering where he was. He didn't look like a normal student to her, which final year student will leave the school for a week, she shook her head trying to dispel her thoughts about him. Her phone which was on the table rang and she picked it up as she saw her aunt's name on the screen.
"Hello aunt" she greeted and her aunt responded on the other side.
Her aunt proceeded to ask her about her well-being as she hadn't heard from her for a while. Though she affirmed that everything was okay her aunt could tell that she was not okay and no matter how she probe, Kasela wouldn't tell. After the call ended, Kasela sighed and lied on the bed. Her heart was in turmoil, truthfully she didn't want to bother her aunt with the event that just happened. She was sure that everything was going to turn out well. She could imagine the stares she gonna get on Monday if the rumour didn't die down 'How am I gonna end this' Kasela pondered, she didn't even have the courage to face Maximus. 'Why am I even worried about this? It isn't as if the rumour is even true. I have no reason to be scared or embarrassed about anything'. Kasela reasoned and consoled herself.
At the senior students dormitory, Maximus and his minions were in his room having a discussion. Out of the ten guys who sat with him, only two were the closest to him. One of them was unexpectedly Jared, Jane's brother who was sitting on a reclining chair. He looked quite different from when he had met Kasela. He had taken off his glasses and ruffled his carefully arranged hair, he had also unbutton a few buttons on his shirt. He now has a wilder look and helda burning cigarette in his hand.
"I met her and delivered the message" Jared said and Maximus grinned.
"I can imagine the look of surprise on that little rose face" Maximus grinned.
"What's the use of doing all this if she isn't interested in you and she's a newbie for heaven's sake, you will only make her hate you" one of his minions said.
"I honestly do not care if she isn't interested, I just want to enjoy bullying her and she being a fresher makes it all simple and interesting" Maximus said.
"I heard Regalus is not in school", Raymond, the other close friend Maximus said.
He was a tall lanky guy with sandy brown hair and brown eyes, he was standing behind Jared while Maximus sat in the middle of the room being surrounded by his minions.
'I too wonder where he's off to' Maximus thought with a brooding look on his face and turned to Jared.
"Make sure your sister wins that little rose over" he said and Jared nodded his head.
"But jokes aside, Max, are you seriously interested in her or you just want to have some fun?" Raymond asked
Maximus stared at him for a while as if debating whether he should answer him or not. He sighed as he brought out a packet of cigarette and a lighter
"Well, you can can say, I just got a new doll. You know the first time I saw her at the canteen while passing by, I kinda got interested in her but I'm not inlove with her, I just liked her and she's gonna be my new doll" he said and took a drag of the cigarette he was holding, he exhaled and continued " Even Regalus too, that arrogant son of a bitch, he also tried saving her from me" Maxi said with a frown.
"But what's the use of spreading the rumour, it isn't gonna help in bringing little rose to you" one of the minions chirped in.
"Yeah, it isn't gonna bring little rose to me, that I know but I just spread that rumour for fun and it will soon die down" h said with a grin.
Kasela who had almost dozed off in her room was woken up by a knock on her door. She groggily walked to the door and opened it, Brenda walked in excitedly and sat on the chair.
"There's a new movie I heard is airing currently, today, I was suggesting we go the theater" she said and looked up at Kasela who had a frown on her face
"Since it's also been announced on the internet why can't we just watch it online, why bother going to the cinema" Kasela asked and Brenda clicked her tongue
"Tch, it's not fun just watching it the two of us, it's more interesting when we're sitter among people, moreover I heard it's a vampire movie" Brenda said
Kasela shivered momentarily when she heard it's a vampire movie "No, I don't like vampire movies, it's scary" she said with a shudder.
Brenda giggled when she saw the look of fright on Kasela's face 'Look those movies are fictional and the scenes we always see are not real, those characters are being...you know just acted according to the story, moreover it's just a mere movie. Though some of the movies being acted depicts some reality but those horror movies are fictional, there's nothing to be scared of" Brenda tried convincing Kasela but she shooked her head.
"Still.... leaving the school without permission isn't appropriate, it's still too early for that's Kasela argued making Brenda sigh
"We can ask our dorm mistress, Mrs Caroline for her permission and I'm sure she will agree. Moreover don't you feel suffocated and bored? I know you are a book addict but you should rest your brain too, so let's go chill somewhere else" Brenda tried convincing her again.
After some time, Kasela let out a tired breath and finally agreed "ok...okay but first we will go to our dorm mistress but if she doesn't agree then....."
She trailed off but Brenda cut in "No I'm sure she will agree after all it's a weekend.
Kasela grudgingly changed into a black cargo pants, a red tank top and a black sneaker and left with Brenda.
