It wasn't unusual for the night to be lively in a city like Gardenia. It was a city filled with demons and humans, they both had different times of the day they thrive the most.
In the middle of the city…
~LOCATION - MIDDLE OF THE CITY; HELL'S DEN CLUBHOUSE~
Hell's den bar was a popular elite bar and tonight, one of those elite parties was being held there. Clinking of glasses, drunken laughter, music and groans of pleasure in some far distance where strippers entertained the guests. Dancing and getting tipped from the wealthy men interested in them.
Darian sat at the bar, his head down, staring into the glass of alcohol before him to see as the ice floated about in his drinks but in reality, he was lost in thoughts. In a swift gulp, the glass was empty.
Just as I expected, not drunk. He thought, contemplating whether to get another glass after his twentieth glass. He never seemed to get drunk and the only reason he was here in the first place was because he was forced to. As he drank from glass to glass of expensive drinks with a high alcohol rate, he thought it would have an effect but it seems it wasn't.
Attempting to stand, something suddenly crashed into him hard. The feel of something wet spreading all over his body and trickling down his face made him pause midway, staring down at the shattered wine glasses which were probably from all the drinks that were just dumped on him. The sound of the shattering glass drew the attention of the few surrounding him but they hurriedly looked away just after.
"Oh my goodness," a soft gasp came from beside him, followed by the sound of plopping down. "I am very sorry. I was too clumsy and–"
The lady was cut off with a cold stare but it suddenly dissolved as quick as the stare came but it soon returned. It wasn't replaced with calmness, instead, the cold and ice gaze pierced into her like it was staring deep into her soul. As Darian stared at the lady who was kneeling before him. Red hair down, flowing down to her hip, golden eyes with a visible beauty spot beneath her luscious lips.
She looked like an angel.
"I-I am sorry." She apologized, bowing her head while trembling. He looked scary, not only was he scary but the aura he was giving off was almost choking her this close. Of all the persons she had to cross paths with, it had to be a scary looking man who was obviously an elite amongst elites.
Without saying a word, he stood up, heading towards the elevator. It made her tremble even more. Was she gonna get fired? It's only been a few months and she's been trying to keep her clumsiness in check but now she's done it. And knowing her boss, if it was a big shot customer requesting her to be fired after this, he definitely would fire her.
"Maybe I really shouldn't have taken on this extra shift." she trembled, sweeping off the mess she had caused as she tried to calm herself down also as best as she could.
"Samantha." A voice spoke into her head and she knew exactly who it was. In a swift moment, she was back in the kitchen where her boss was standing with a frown. "What have you done? That man has ordered glasses of drinks worth billions in total and you just spilled drinks on him like that?"
The little ease she was trying to feel by comforting herself was out the window as he stood there, yelling at her. She was nervous, blinking repeatedly like a doll. What was he going to do to her? Was he going to make her pay for what she had done out there? She didn't even want to think about whatever the pay he would demand might be.
"I-I'm so sorry, Mr Dunn. I didn't know how it happened, I-I just tripped and accidentally spilled the drinks all over him and he didn't say a word." She tried to explain as if it would get her out of her current predicament but he wasn't getting any of it.
"You have to pay for your clumsiness. Take the bottle of V112 wine and take it to his room. Tell him it is on the house as an apology. But know this, Samantha, it'll be from your pay even if he doesn't forgive you." He warned with a frightening look, making Samantha gulp.
What have I really gotten myself into? A V112 wine? How expensive is that and how much does he have to cut off from my pay? She thought, walking into the elevator heaving a defeated sigh. Dunn must have really wanted to get close to that rich looking customer but he couldn't, now she was being used while being punished as well.
Standing in front of his door, her hands trembling as she stared at the numbers 606 on his door. She slowly lifted her hands to knock on the door but there was no answer. She knocked again but this time she could hear the movements from the other side of the door.
Her heart pounded non stop as she waited for his icy gaze to pierce her soul but she got a nosebleed instead, staring at the perfectly toned abs which stood before her, a towel hung around his waist and could fall off at any moment. It didn't look real.
Not only did the water dripping down his body make him look like a total Greek god, his wet hair added to his looks. But that wasn't the problem, as she could see his outline through the towel.
She suddenly felt dizzy from the sight, slipping forward with all the content on the tray spilling on him. The sample wine and the bottle of wine hitting his feet before shattering.
Oh my goodness. Now I've done it…
