The growl sent a chill down my spine. I grabbed Aria's hand, pulling her close. "We need to get out of here," I whispered.
But it was too late. The growling stopped, and an eerie silence fell over the campsite.
And then, a scream pierced the night air.
We rushed towards the sound, our flashlights casting wild shadows on the trees.
That's when we saw her. Emily Lee, her body twisted at an unnatural angle, her eyes frozen in terror.
"Emily!" Lila screamed, rushing towards her. "Oh my god, Emily!"
But Emily was beyond help. She was dead, her body mutilated beyond recognition.
We stood there, frozen in shock, as the reality of our situation sunk in. We were trapped in the woods, with no phone signal, and a killer on the loose.
And then, I saw him. A figure, lurking just beyond the edge of the campsite. Watching us.
