Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 : A friend

"M-my n-name I-is Muna"

"Full name?"

"What is that?" I said looking confused.

She let out a sigh of disappointment.

"My name is Venus. I dont have much time so I'll be as plain as can be."

She went on and explained where I was, and how I could have possibly come here. She told me that the entire surrounding was made of Navitas, an energy that was used to create the entire universe. According to her, this place was massive, boundless even, stretching as far as the eyes can see. The history of this place was enough to fill a library, but she gave me the short form. Long ago after the Gods were discovered to have been harvesting consciousness, their servants, the Guardians refused to carry on errands for them, till they promised to stop. Decades turned into centuries, and centuries into Millenia. The Gods, fed up with their elongated strike, waged war on them. The war lasted a complete Year, in human time, of constant fighting and battle, with the Gods, of course, winning, and trapping the Guardians here to 'reflect' on their actions. They made a prison out of Navitas, the most pure and strongest form of energy, which requires a lot of concentration to regulate the amount of power flowing through the Qi paths alone. Then they made sure to add levels, so the more dense the Qi of the individual the deeper they would 'sink' and the individuals of lesser qi would 'float' to a certain level.

"Was my history lesson too long?"

"Could've been shorter" I courted her.

She grinned a little at that one.

"Well, only one person could have come here, hmm did Xilan teach you?"

"X-xilan, the God hand?!"

"Is that what they called him? Pretty funny nickname if you ask me."

"THE XILAN that ended the Great war among all clans and nations? Garnering followers from left and right? The writer of a hundred songs and partner of a thousand women? Great emperor, God's hand Xilan?!"

"That little brat was supposed to visit once in a while. I'll make sure to nag him when I see him again."

"How do you know him so formally?"

"Well, he's your senior. He was here before you."

"WHA–" I was cut short.

"No more questions, the better you improve, the more questions you get answered." She paused for a second, possibly to confirm my compliance.

"O-ok fine, I'll stop".

"Get up, we are going to get you to know the basics". She got up out the door and to the open field. I found out that this world, although like water, the inhabitants could move around freely, at least on the 'ocean floor'.

"I'll assume we're going to the 'sea bed'?" I asked in curiosity.

"You're so slow it's actually sad" she said as she looked back at me. I could see her smirk a little.

"I'm fast when I have to, and slow when I need t–"

"LET'S GO ALREADY!" she yelled.
