Skill Book: Soul-Eating Hand
Once, this skill was the signature move of the Berserker, one of the most popular classes in DNF. It was commonly known as head grabbing.
The skill used the ghostly hand to grab an enemy's head, absorb both their blood and energy, then explode the collected power back at them, causing massive damage.
But now that Berserkers had become Oil Warriors, the skill had been mostly forgotten by the masses.
When Luke drew the skill and read the description, he almost burst out laughing at his own thoughts. "Would this skill be modified by the system into an oil-sucking hand? Suck blood when grabbing a human head, and suck oil when grabbing a machine head?"
As for the principle? Who knows what was going on. If a skill like the round dance stick, which completely defies physics, worked, he wouldn't be shocked at all if the oil-absorbing hand worked too.
Who knows what even weirder skills would appear in the future? Traveling through time and space and being reborn was strange enough, so what was there to be surprised about? Luke understood that now.
"Hey, there are so many Ghost Swordsman skills... Shura Evil Light Slash, Phantom Sword Dance, Soul Devouring Hand... that's three already."
So far, the guaranteed rewards had given him six skill books, which was already beyond his expectations.
He moved on to the next round.

Skill Book: Disguise
"Ah, it appeared!!!"
When this skill book popped up in his sight with the sound of the system upgrading, Luke was so excited, he almost jumped out of his chair. Finally, a Sharpshooter Skill Book!
And a mechanic one, no less.
It wasn't that he had a preference for sharpshooters or mechanics, but these classes meshed perfectly with his existing mechs. They'd allow him to quickly gain combat effectiveness without needing any adjustments.
Unlike those random fighting skills, where he had become a master in every move but still needed to constantly hone his techniques to make them flow naturally, skills from the Sharpshooter profession, which revolved around machinery, wouldn't be such a hassle.
Camouflage—a skill almost forgotten by mechanics—was exactly what Luke needed.
Though it wasn't used much in the game, in real life, this was a truly magical skill.
Camouflage: Using the most advanced celestial technology, the user could enter an optical camouflage state, making them invisible to the outside world.
Yes, optical invisibility technology!
Luke recalled that this tech had first appeared in the Marvel universe, specifically in the movie Spider-Man: Homecoming, when Happy's large plane, used for transporting vital S.H.I.E.L.D. items, employed a basic form of optical camouflage.
This was clearly Tony Stark's work.
He also remembered that Tony's Iron Man suit, one of the later versions, had a form of optical invisibility technology too. This type of suit, known as "Sneaky," specialized in covert operations and infiltration.
"The seventh skill book," Luke muttered, a grin spreading across his face. "Could it be that I'm the King of Luck?"
Then, without warning, the eighth skill book appeared.
"Holy crap! The eighth skill book has dropped! I'm so lucky this time…" Even Luke was shocked. He had never been this lucky before.

Skill Book: M-3 Flamethrower
A minor skill from the female gunner class in DNF, but it was exactly what Luke needed!
He clapped his hands, learning it instantly. The design drawing appeared in his mind, detailing how to construct the M-3 flamethrower.
Drawing from his experience, Luke quickly came up with the idea of modifying it for use on the G-0 War Lord.
M-3 Flamethrower: A wide flame, short-range spray. Requires fuel. Flame temperature varies based on fuel.
---
There was only one more round of ten draws left. In the first nine rounds, he had already received eight skill books—far more than he had expected.
The results for the final round came quickly.
"Huh? This thing can actually appear in the real world..."
---
That night, after finishing the magic box drawing, Luke snuck out of the house while his adoptive parents were asleep. He worked overtime in the secret warehouse all night, putting the final touches on the G-0 War Lord.
In the game, the G-0 War Lord came fully equipped with weapons and would enter battle once summoned.
But in reality, when Luke received the design drawings, he realized they only showed the body of the machine—no weapons included.
It was like getting instant noodles without the seasoning packet—how was that going to work?
Luke understood the low moral standards of the system; after all, games and reality were different worlds. But still…
This time, Li Ru had drawn the Shura Evil Light Slash.
In the game, it was a passive skill. But in reality, a skill was simply an ability, something one could learn. There was no such thing as active or passive.
Based on the results of the magic box extraction, Luke finalized his transformation plan for the G-0 War Lord:
Install an optical stealth generator.
Add the M-3 flamethrower.
Coat it with adamantium.
Originally, Luke had hoped to draw a skill book for a mind shield to boost the shield's power, but he didn't get it. The radius of his mind shield remained at two meters.
That was a problem.
The height and width of the G-0 War Lord were both six meters. Assuming its radius was three meters, a two-meter shield couldn't cover it.
Luke settled for coating it in a layer of high-grade adamantium.
Though 45 kilograms of secondary adamantium might sound like a lot, in reality, including the part used to make grenade fragments, it was only about the size of a football.
After coating the G-0 War Lord with a thin layer of defense, there was just a little bit of adamantium left.
"Just make do with it for now. I'll figure out how to upgrade the spirit shield later…"
As for the remaining 10 kilograms of pure adamantium, Luke used it to make a giant sword—6.5 meters long and about one meter wide—for the G-0 War Lord.
The main part of the sword was constructed from high-strength titanium alloy, the best material Luke could buy. The surface was plated with a layer of pure adamantium using the same gold plating process as the mecha.
Gold plating couldn't compare to weapons or mecha armor made from pure adamantium, but the strength of this sword still far surpassed regular metals.
How much stronger was adamantium alloy, exactly?
Luke saw a strange simulation on Christina's computer.
The simulation showed that when a Mica missile, fired from a French Dassault Rafale fighter, hit the G-0 War Lord head-on, the adamantium-plated surface remained undamaged. However, the titanium alloy beneath the plating took some damage, and the internal structure of the mecha was shaken.
But overall, the mecha still maintained its combat capability.
This level of defense was more than acceptable to Luke at this stage. The conditions were limited after all. They didn't expect the current G-0 War Lord to go toe-to-toe with Thanos.
It would be more than enough to deal with enemies like Whiplash and Justin Hammer's Iron Soldiers.
Without the adamantium plating, things would've been much worse.
The simulation showed that a Mica missile hitting the mecha head-on would leave the G-0 War Lord paralyzed and unable to move.
This made Luke realize just how vital materials were.
"If I ever get the chance in the future, I need to get more adamantium," Luke thought. "Maybe even vibranium. I remember hearing there's vibranium in Antarctica too, not just Wakanda."
Luke climbed into the Tornado, his mecha, and waddled towards the G-0 War Lord with a satisfied grin.
The hatch of the six-meter-tall giant mecha opened downward, and Luke controlled the Tornado, walking inside the G-0 War Lord.
Once the two mechas merged, the hatch closed.
The G-0 War Lord's eyes suddenly lit up, and the body came to life.
At that moment, the Tornado wasn't just a machine—it was the heart of the G-0 War Lord.
