"After a long time of grinding, I've finally achieved the maximum output of my power..." Vynn said to himself.
"I possess Zweihander, my primary weapon, the Bloodtwin, a special weapon in my arsenal and the Coffinlock, these three powerful treasures are in my hands..." Vynn continued.
"I, who managed to master the arts of parry, offense and defense, I have truly ascended into a higher level..." Vynn said as he looked up in the sky.
"But...something feels wrong...as if there's something that I'm still missing..." Vynn pondered.
"I don't know what else is missing from me, but that is what I have to discover..." Vynn said.
As Vynn was continuing to contemplate about his life he feels a bright, shining light illuminating the area.
"Hm, what could that be..." Vynn said as he turned to see a portal in front of him.
"If I learned anything about mysterious portals that suddenly spawn near me, is that it leads to exciting adventure!!!" Vynn said excitingly as he rushed to enter inside the portal.
The portal transports him into a faraway area, as he crashes down from the sky landing on the ground, nearby the gates of a kingdom.
"Oof, that fall really affected my back..." Vynn said, holding his back, trying to stand up using his blade.
Vynn eventually stands up slowly, and he notices he is nearby a kingdom.
"Huh, I wonder what this kingdom is all about..." Vynn pondered.
Suddenly, a group of guards approached towards him.
"Huh?" Vynn stated, confused on why a group of guards suddenly approached him.
"Come with us, our king wishes to speak with you..." The leader of the guards said, extending his hand.
"Ok, thanks but I can stand up on my own accord..." Vynn sighed, slowly standing up.
Vynn entered inside the kingdom and saw how peaceful the area was compared to his own world.
They slowly entered the castle with the gates opening before them, Vynn inspected the very structure and stability of the castle.
"Right this way..." The knight said.
Vynn slowly made his way inside the castle, seeing the decoration filled with bright blue and gold colors, he thought he was nearly having a stroke.
"Ah you must be the guest that His Majesty has been expecting..." A voice called out.
"Yes, that would be correct..." Vynn said as he slowly turned around.
But what he saw in front of him was someone from his past.
"No way...it's you..." Vynn said in shock.
"Surprised to see me here, aren't you?" The voice chuckled.
Standing before Vynn was a man who was slightly taller than him, he wore a black fedora, tattered red robes, cybernetic arms, his heart illuminated and his chest was nothing more than just his ribcage with a scary skull mask and blood red eyes and brown hair.
"I should've known you would be the type of person to pull off a thing like this...Skullspawn..." Vynn replied.
"Ah Skullspawn there you are..." A voice called out.
The two of them turned around and standing before them was a king, he wore a golden crown with many gems decorated around it, he had azure blue hair, wearing a blue and gold coat over his body, wearing black and gold boots, metal gauntlets covering his hands, his attire was very stylish and fit for a king, his eyes were illuminating blue and gold light, nearly blinding the two of them.
He approached them with a sincere smile on his face, he shaked Vynn's hand and then turned his attention to Skullspawn.
"I see you've already met with my guest...and your name is?" The king asked.
"My name is Vynn Weisshardt von Wiccaspell, Your Majesty..." Vynn said, not bowing before him.
"Ah you are an energetic kind, my name is Creo Creatorius, I hope you enjoy your stay here in my kingdom, Elderith." Creo smiled.
"Now allow me to lead you to the banquet, my associates are waiting and they're impatient to meet you..." Creo chuckled, leading the two of them to the banquet hall.
"I'm guessing this isn't your first time here?" Vynn sighed.
"Yup, it isn't, I've been here for a while just to pass some time..." Skullspawn sighed.
"So this is what you have been doing after that moment, Skull?" Vynn whispered to Skullspawn.
"We definitely don't need to bring that moment up, Vynn..." Skull replied, his tone was cold as if he doesn't want to bring up that moment.
Back then, Vynn and Skullspawn were both living happily in their world but something happened to Skullspawn that changed his entire perception, he may act happy on the outside but deep down behind that facade, he is burdened by the stress of handling everything in their group.
*Flashback to that moment*
"Vynn...end me...please!!!" Skullspawn exclaimed.
"I can't, I won't do what you are asking for!!!" Vynn exclaimed.
"Why are you going so far to this point, Skull, what happened???" Vynn shouted, worried for his friend's condition.
"Everything around me is too much for me, I can't take it anymore...I feel like there is no point in this life..." Skullspawn said, turning away, walking towards the opposite direction.
"Wait!!!" Vynn said, running towards.
But it was too late, before he could catch up to him, Skullspawn slowly faded away as if he was ash that was scattered into the wind.
*Back to the palace*
"We're here!" Creo said.
They entered the banquet hall, it was filled with dozens of food, with freshly cooked meat and fish, dozens of harvested fruits and vegetables, accompanied by pastries and some rum, it was a well-made banquet.
"Have a seat..." Creo said, offering Vynn to sit next to him.
Vynn simply sits next to him and is offered by Creo to eat some of the food that was made for him.
"Come on, eat up, you are our guest of honor..." Creo smiled.
Vynn went to eat some cooked chicken, drank a few mugs of beer ate 5 loaves of bread, two fishes and a few grapes.
"Good sir, it seems like you have quite a big appetite..." A voice called out.
"Ah this gentleman over here is my comrade, The Bookkeeper..." Creo said.
"Pleasure to meet you..." Vynn said.
"The pleasure is mine..." The Bookkeeper said.
After a few minutes, Vynn saw Skull stand up from his seat and eventually head outside the banquet hall on which he followed on suite.
The two of them chased after each other around the castle hallways until finally...
"Are you enjoying this chase?" Skullspawn chuckled.
"What gives Skull? What am I even doing here in the first place?" Vynn replied, angry at his friend.
"Oh?" Skullspawn chuckled.
"Well if you're going to escape, you are going to let me carve out the rest of your retirement life..." Skullspawn continued.
"That's the last thing I would ever want you to do...you damn bastard!!!" Vynn shouted.
"Enjoy your stay here in the kingdom of Elderith, but don't worry, once you progress, I'll take you to different realities until you reach the final reality where you will face your biggest challenge...do you accept?" Skullspawn asked, waiting for his response.
"You bet..." Vynn smirked.
"Then let the game begin..." Skullspawn chuckled.
