Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: The Cradle of Unrest

Tiān Wújiè, vast and magnificent, was never without turmoil. Though Chaos had crafted it with unimaginable power, its perfection was not absolute. The land's very existence was a delicate balance of qi, its rivers and currents flowing like veins through an eternal body. However, in the farthest reaches of the realm, beyond the Verdant Abyss and the mountains crowned with eternal flame, a disturbance began to take shape.

The disturbance was subtle at first—minor fluctuations in the qi flows, faint tremors rippling through the earth, and erratic storms that crackled with unstable energy. But soon, the imbalance grew, consuming an entire expanse of the eastern lands. Mountains crumbled into deep fissures, rivers evaporated, and the skies churned with unnatural lightning.

---

This region, already remote and untamed, was known as Wújì Yuán (无际渊), the Infinite Chasm. It was a vast, desolate expanse where the fabric of the realm felt thin, as if the void itself pressed too close to the surface. The imbalance in qi had turned Wújì Yuán into a tempest of destruction.

Beasts that roamed its edges fled, their instincts warning them of impending annihilation. The sky above Wújì Yuán darkened, torn apart by flashes of purple and crimson light. The ground itself fractured, yawning open to reveal abysses of black void energy. The qi of Tiān Wújiè recoiled, as if rejecting this corrupted region.

The disturbance rippled across the realm. Even the mightiest beings felt its effects.

---

High above in Fēnghuāng Shānfēng, Xuán Yǐng stood atop the jagged peaks. The Void Dragon's piercing eyes scanned the horizon as he felt the shockwave of imbalance wash over him.

"The qi is unraveling," he murmured to himself.

Hóng Yàn, the Flameborn dragon, landed beside him with a thunderous impact, his fiery wings folding as he growled, "This reeks of disaster. Even the strongest beings cannot ignore this… it threatens us all."

Xuán Yǐng did not respond immediately. He could feel something far more terrifying—an approaching storm unlike anything he had ever experienced.

And then it came.

A wave of pure, raw power swept across the realm, causing even the Void Dragons to stagger. The skies above Tiān Wújiè darkened as Chaos itself stirred. For the first time in millennia, its formless will moved with purpose.

---

In the heart of Wújì Yuán, the turbulence intensified. The air quaked, and the land writhed as if alive. The void qi tearing through the region grew wild, a maelstrom of annihilation that threatened to spread beyond its borders.

Then, it came.

A formless presence descended upon Wújì Yuán, radiating boundless power. Chaos, the creator of Tiān Wújiè, had come to stabilize its creation.

The qi of the realm reacted violently to its arrival, swirling and converging into a massive vortex. Beings across Tiān Wújiè, from the Hēiyú Rén in the deepest oceans to the Yán Mó in the volcanic plains, felt it. The very fabric of existence trembled as Chaos's raw might rippled through the land.

Xuán Yǐng, still watching from the mountains, lowered his head. "Even we cannot comprehend such power," he muttered.

---

Chaos did not act with precision or care. Its intervention was overwhelming, like a tidal wave crashing against a fragile shore. The corrupted qi of Wújì Yuán was drawn into its formless presence, absorbed and purified in an instant. The void energy that had seeped into the land dissipated, replaced by a deep stillness.

Yet, Chaos's actions were not without cost. The region it touched was forever changed. The once-barren land now pulsed with unstable qi, the scars of its disruption visible in the jagged cliffs and glowing fissures. Wújì Yuán had become a land of paradox, both dangerous and alluring.

---

Across the realm, beings whispered of what they had felt.

In the seas, Hei Zhu, the leader of the Hēiyú Rén, shuddered. "The creator… it is not asleep after all," he said, his voice trembling. "We are but insects in its gaze."

In the skies, Feng Yan of the Yǔ Jīnglíng watched as the clouds churned. "What force could command such chaos yet create such balance?" she wondered aloud.

Even the dragons, proud and aloof, found themselves humbled. Xuán Yǐng turned to his kin and declared, "We are not the rulers of this realm. Chaos alone holds that title."

---

Far away, deep in the Verdant Abyss, Xuè Míng stirred. The ripples of Chaos's power reached even her secluded resting place, jolting her awake. Her dark eyes flickered open, glowing faintly with void qi.

She tried to move but found her strength still lacking. The forest around her pulsed with life, its qi continuing to sustain her. For now, she remained hidden, her presence cloaked from her kin.

Yet Xuè Míng felt the power of Chaos and understood its warning. Something profound was unfolding in Tiān Wújiè, something that would shape the destiny of the realm.

---

In the shadow of Jiǔyīn Shān, the first mortals began to take their first steps toward civilization. They were fragile, their lives brief compared to the eternal beings of Tiān Wújiè, but their potential was limitless.

The disturbance in Wújì Yuán frightened them, yet it also inspired awe. Some among them began to worship Chaos, seeing it as the ultimate power that governed their world. Others feared it, vowing to find ways to resist its overwhelming might.

These mortals, still nameless and undefined, were the true children of Chaos. Their rise would bring new challenges to Tiān Wújiè, for their ambition knew no bounds.

---

As Chaos retreated, its power faded from the skies, leaving Tiān Wújiè in uneasy silence. Yet its presence lingered, etched into the land and the beings that inhabited it.

The Boundless Heaven was forever changed, and the stage was set for new conflicts, alliances, and betrayals. The dragons, the Hēiyú Rén, the Yán Mó, and the mortals—all would play their part in the unfolding drama.

And in the heart of the Verdant Abyss, a single Void Dragon lay hidden, her destiny intertwined with the fate of the realm.
