Chapter 3: Sword Style - Part 1
Lucus sat on his bed, deep in thought. His mind was racing with possibilities, but first, he needed to be practical.
"Before anything else, I need supplies," he muttered, grabbing his phone.
He quickly searched for nearby markets. Traveling unprepared was a death sentence, even if he wasn't heading into a dungeon yet. With his Limitless Body, he had infinite growth potential, but potential meant nothing if he died before unlocking his true power.
"Let's see how much money I have."
Opening his banking app, his heart sank at the sight of his balance.
Balance: $6,000
"Shit! I barely have anything," he groaned, running a hand through his hair.
The realization hit him—his mother had only given him enough to cover necessities like food and a few cheap hunter essentials. With the Inn's basic meals costing around $20 to $60 a day, about $2,500 would last him a month for food alone.
"If I spend too much now, I'll be broke before I even start my journey."
"If I waste money now, I might not even have enough to survive. But if I don't prepare properly, I won't last long enough to worry about money."
Grinding his teeth, he made a decision.
"I'll spend wisely—but I can't hold back either. The Heavenly Sword Style Manual is too important. If I can get my hands on the Heavenly Sword Style Manual, it'll be worth every cent."
Unlike regular Skills, which repeated one specific action, a Manual contained multiple skills—ranging from six to thirty techniques. A true Sword Manual wasn't just a collection of moves; it was a lifetime of knowledge and mastery, an entire philosophy of combat.
For example, a Japanese Sword Manual wouldn't just teach Vertical Slash or Horizontal Slash—it would include footwork, grips, stances, counters, and strategy. Mastering it meant understanding the soul of the sword.
""If I obtain the Heavenly Sword Style, I won't just learn one attack—I'll gain an entire way of combat and It won't be just have a skill—I'll have an entire legacy."
Lucus's eyes burned with determination as he opened an online hunter store and began purchasing potions for his journey.

Purchased Items:
Mana Recovery Potion (Bronze) ×2 – $600 each
Stamina Recovery Potion (Bronze) ×2 – $760 each
Healing Potion (Bronze) ×2 – $1,000 each
Total Spent: $2,360
Remaining Balance: $3,640
"Alright, order placed." He exhaled and lay back on his bed, letting his body relax.
---
40 Minutes Later…
A knock at the door snapped him out of his rest.
"Mr. Morningstar, your delivery has arrived," a polite voice announced from outside.
Lucus stood up and walked toward the door. When he opened it, he was greeted by a well-dressed man in a black suit, his white mustache neatly trimmed. With his thick eyebrows and calm demeanor, he looked like a classic housekeeper from an old novel.
"Sir, your package," the inn staff member said formally, handing him a small box.
"Ah, yes! Thank you very much," Lucus said, giving a polite nod. His enthusiasm made him chuckle at himself—he was acting like a noble receiving a royal gift. He quickly composed himself and accepted the package.
After closing the door, he activated Eye of Truth to inspect the items.
---

"These will do for now."
Next, he gathered his essential travel gear.

Mana Lamp: A Fire Formation Magic tool that absorbs ambient mana to provide light.
Storage Bag: A spatial item capable of holding 20 cubic meters of equipment.
With everything packed, Lucus locked the door and stepped outside, ready to begin his journey.
---
Stepping onto the bustling street, Lucus was momentarily overwhelmed by the grandeur of the city.
Towering skyscrapers, built with Mana-Infused Alloys, stretched toward the sky. Their glass-like surfaces shimmered, reflecting the mana currents that pulsed through the city's veins.
Above the roads, sleek, wheel-less cars hovered, powered by Mana Crystals and controlled by Advanced Formation Magic. The sky was alive with flying transport ships, weaving between buildings like graceful birds.
Lucus raised his hand and called out, "Taxi!"
A hovering silver cab descended beside him, its doors opening automatically. The driver, an older man with cybernetic implants on his temple, turned to him.
"Where to, sir?" he asked.
"To the Metro Station," Lucus replied as he slid into the back seat.
With a nod, the driver activated the controls, and the taxi silently lifted off, gliding forward.
As they drove, Lucus gazed out the window, taking in the futuristic cityscape.
Then, his eyes caught sight of a massive skyscraper, towering above its neighbors.
Carved into its entrance in golden letters was a name that radiated authority and power:
HUNTERS ASSOCIATION
Even from a distance, Lucus could feel the mana pressure emanating from the building.
The Hunters Association was governed by five SS-rank Hunters, backed by 30 to 40 S-rank Hunters and 50 to 80 A-rank Hunters. It served as the guardian of humanity, ensuring balance between the powerful and the powerless.
"With mana, noble families rule the world… but the Hunters Association exists to keep them in check.
It was humanity's only shield against corruption—the one force strong enough to oppose even the Great Families.
Also oversees dungeons, mana gates, and supernatural conflicts.
The Eight Great Families and Top 10 Guilds controlled wealth and resources, but the Hunters Association ensured that power wasn't abused.
"Without them, ordinary people would be at the mercy of the elite."
Even though mana brought prosperity, it also created a society where strength dictated one's status.
Lucus clenched his fists.
"One day… I'll stand at the top too."

Metro Station – Ticket to Destiny
"Sir, we've arrived."
Lucus blinked, snapping out of his thoughts.
"How much is the fare?" he asked.
"$40," the driver responded.
Lucus tapped his wristband against the payment scanner, transferring the credits before stepping out.
Ahead of him stood a grand station, its walls engraved with mana circuits that hummed with power. Holographic screens displayed train schedules, while uniformed guards patrolled the entrances, scanning passengers for illegal mana artifacts.
Lucus walked towards the ticket counter, joining the line of travelers. When his turn arrived, the clerk at the booth looked up.
"Destination?" she asked.
"Mount Huji," Lucus replied.
"Train departs at 1:20 PM from Platform 3. Ticket price: $60," she stated.
Lucus paid for his ticket and glanced at the time. 1:10 PM.
"Ten minutes until departure."
He made his way to Platform 3, where the train stood waiting—a sleek, metallic beast powered by Mana Crystals. Unlike normal trains, these mana-fueled engines,
as the car this train are also fuel with mana but not my person but by my mana crystals. With this they can be 10 times faster then the bullet train in Earth .
what are Mana Crystals?

-----
Another 10 minutes passed by and the train also came in time , I take my seat then the train started to move by from inside it doesn't feel it move fast, but I will reach my my destination within 12 to 15 minutes.
As Lucus boarded the train and took his seat, he leaned back and closed his eyes.
In just 15 minutes, he would arrive at Mount Huji—where the Heavenly Sword Style Manual awaited.
