"Mommy!!" The sound of my son's voice calling for me brings me back from my trans, " Hey baby" I say squatting to meet his level " when is aunt Bri coming?" He asks with a concerned look on his cute face, " She will be here soon" I say reassuring him and patting his hair while combing my fingers through his curls, " Mommy!! Stop that, you will mess my hair up! It took me almost an hour to get it perfect mommy" he says huffing and puffing with big cheeks " sorry baby" I say, "where's your sister?" I ask not seeing Diana " Oh, she is around somewhere" he says not looking bothered.
It's been six years since that night with Deven and let's just say the pill I took didn't work, I guess it's not a hundred percent accurate. I sigh as I spot Briana walking towards the front door, she comes in because she has a spare key to my home "Aunt Bri !!" Yells Aaron, "Aunt Brianna!" Screams Diana walking into the living room from her room looking all girly, 'what is going on?' I think to my self, my daughter normally does not like dressing like a girl, she says it makes her look all girly like a Princess, she would much rather dress like her mommy. I roll my eyes as I walk into the living room to join them, " Hey Bri" I say as we hug, it's been two years since we have seen each other, I had to leave town because, Deven heard I had two babies and he kind of did the calculations and realized they were his kids too, so he has been looking for me, and I know he just wants to take my babies away from me or hurt them, and I won't let any of that happen.
How is Evan she asks me, and I look at her weird because she is not supposed to talk about a man when the kids are present so I walk her to the dinning area, " don't even get me started, I moved from a Dev to an Ev, how's this supposed to make sense Bri" I say with evidence of my frustration on my face.
"You're fine, the kids are fine, plus your brothers in town so it's all good" Brianna says to me. " Wait hang on, go back, my brother is in town? If he finds me I'm dead" feeling more worried "it's fine! He just missed you and wants to see the kids" Briana says trying to calm me, the last time I saw my brother was three years ago right before I skipped town, when I was pregnant he supported me but when he started seeing the resemblance on the kids faces to his friend he got suspicious and had a DNA test conducted without my knowledge, he thought I did something stupid with Deven and Seven rejected being the kids father so he told Deven about the kids which made me leave, I tried explaining the whole situation but he told Dad and Mom and now Mom keeps asking to meet her grandbabies but I'm scared what if it's all a ploy to take my babies from me, I couldn't handle life without them. "Aunt Bri! Look what I made in school yesterday" Diana says handing Brianna a Beaded bracelet same one she made for everyone in the family she even made one for her Dad, someone who she has never met. I sigh as I take my key from the table kiss both my kids and head out for my date.
Not everyone knows that I have kids and Evan knows but he still wants to be a part of their lives. I haven't really dated much but Evan is a really nice guy and he loves fun and so do I.
Walking into the restaurant I see him sitting there looking all nervous, 'well it is our first meet' I thought to myself as I smile and walk towards him, "Hey, sorry to keep you waiting" I say as he stands up to pull my chair ' a real gentle man's I think to myself " Oh no I didn't wait at all, I just got here myself" he says with a cheeky smile, ' oh my God he's adorable' The waiter walks to our table and we make our order, we talk about a lot of things about the first time we spoke,our first video call, how I didn't want to have a video chat with him,his first call with Brianna when she interrogated him, she always felt like it was her duty to protect me after that night with Deven, and I keep telling her that it is not her fault,that I should not have taken that pill Matilda gave me, and I should not have had those extra drinks with Deven but without that terrible night, I would not have had my two wonderful babies. We argued about how Aaron looks likes me and how Diana was more boyyish than Aaron and how much trouble she always gets in and how her brother always has to bail her out, amongst my two Angels Aaron is the cool child, he is always calm, and doesn't like to have arguments because he knows that he is always right. Our conversation was really great but I had to head home before they went to sleep it was almost eight thirty and I promised them I would be home early so after dinner I offered to pay but he paid instead, as we head out of the restaurant the cold words of the owner of the familair voice sends chills down my spine,
"It really is so easy to get you Avery" Even the way he said my name was scary bringing me back to the morning after that night both I and Evan turned around and there he was, the man I and my kids have been hiding from, " Deven?" I say scared " Where are my kids Avery?" He asks with authority like he has the right to ask about them 'Shit, I need to save my kids' that was the only thing in my head at the moment.
