Chapter 6 - College Days

After completing his 10th standard, Captain James joined a college in a nearby city for his 11th and 12th standards. This marked a significant transition for him, as he adapted to a new environment, culture, and language. Until then, he had studied in his mother tongue, but now he had to switch to English.

Initially, James struggled to cope with the language barrier, but he gradually gained momentum. He worked hard and secured the second position in his college in both the 11th and 12th standards.

However, James' initial experience with hostel life was not smooth. He joined a corporate hostel for two weeks but found it difficult to adjust to the restrictive environment. He requested his father to take him back home.

Later, James rejoined a local college in his nearest city, where he felt more comfortable. The presence of local people and relatives made it easier for him to adapt to the new environment.

After completing his 12th standard, James faced another challenge. He needed to prepare for the graduation entrance test, but his rank was not high enough to secure a seat in a top college. Due to financial constraints, James joined a local college for his graduation.

The first year of his graduation went smoothly, but James had to stay with relatives near the college due to financial reasons. However, after completing his first year, James decided to take a room in the nearest city, marking a significant change in his lifestyle and paving the way for a new chapter in his life.
