The wind blows on my face as the sun finally sets and now I am free, as the darkness spreads around me.

" Bella!"

I turn around and see my grandfather coming towards me.

" Yes, Grandpa."

" Are you ready?" Grandpa asked while adjusting his tie.

" Let me do it." I took over and adjusted his tie for him; these days, he is getting clumsy. I wonder why? Is it because of the people that we are going to meet?

" Do we have to go?"

Grandpa looked at me and held my chin, " We talked about this, it is time that you meet these people. It is something I can't escape from. All 9 families were called for a mandatory Emergency meeting with all the family's youngsters after 30 years, and I need to know why?"

I nod my head unable to argue with him.

" Brother is coming directly to the venue Grandpa"

" Good, let's go now" He held my hand as we walked.

I looked at Devil, my personal security head; he quickly went to make arrangements; last night, we both made various plans to ensure our safety at the venue.

"Let's go," I say once we are in the car.

" Wait"

" What is it, Grandpa?"

"Last night, they changed the venue; this is the new address." Saying that he handed a piece of paper to the driver.

" Why did you not tell me that, and why was the venue changed?" I asked as this means that we will be at other's mercy for our safety. I hate it when things don't go my way.

" For security purposes, the meeting place will always be changed at the last minute. Don't worry, there are no threats there."

" If there are no threats, then why did you not attend such meetings in the last 30 years? Why did you hide me? My brother was allowed to make friends with other families but I was always kept away, now you want to introduce me to all of them"

Grandpa laughed at me, " Aren't you the least bit excited? I remember you always wanted me to make friends with the kids of those families."

" Nope" There was a time when I really wanted a friend, but then I found out that all the kids from those 9 families were not worth it.

" Really?"

" Yes, Really, Grandpa" Saying that, I closed my eyes to relax. Silence.

Drip, Drip, Drip.

Thud, Thud, Thud.

I opened my eyes when I heard the rain sound; I looked outside and saw a boy with a Red jacket running. I also once knew a boy in a red jacket, but that boy was the definition of pain to me.

The car took a turn and then entered into a huge compound. I looked around and then spoke to Devil.

" Devil, when we are inside, I want you to coordinate with my brother's security and make sure that we have a safe exit route."

" Yes, Miss."

" Let's go, and Bella, make sure to keep your Powers in check. Nobody in there knows about your power; I intend to keep it that way."

I frown at that but nod anyway. It is not an unknown fact that my family always kept me in the shadows away from others. My Powers are way too dangerous for them.

" Hy little sister"

I turn to look at my brother's charming smile, one that I can never get used to. I take his hand and get down.

" You look stunning, my dear; once we are inside, tell me which one you like, and I shall make him your groom."

I roll my eyes at him, "You make it sound like this is some kind of a matchmaking venue, brother, and I am pretty sure that every one of them is rotten, so no, thank you."

" Wait." He stops and then runs to greet our grandpa.

"Let's go" I push them towards the door. The feeling of being watched is already bugging me.

I held my brother's arm as our grandpa led us into the Mansion.

The moment we entered, the noise dropped, and for a split second, everything around us was quiet; then all the whispering started, and obviously, I was the reason for it.

" See, you are the center of attraction, sister. I know that you grew to hate these people but trust me, you will like them. I have already told all of my friends."

" I hate your friends," I say while we get close to the center of the hall.

My brother looks at me with a frown and then shakes his head, " You are hopeless, dear sister."

"Did you know why they asked for a mandatory Emergency meeting with all the young generation of the families?"

" I think it is about the mysterious attacks happening around us but then I heard some rumors."

" Rumors? About what?" I frown

" About you. Watch out Incoming"

" Finally, you made it, Old Man." An elderly person came and hugged Grandpa, but his eyes settled on me.

" Smile sister"

" I am smiling brother"

" You call that smile?" Taking a deep breath he whispers.

" That is Mr.Salvatore, head of the Colony. Be careful with him, and do not tick him off."

The old Salvatore smiled, still keeping his eyes on me, " Tell me, Jack Adkins, who is the young lady with the Young Master Victor Adkins?"

Victor nudges me; I slowly walk towards Grandpa and stand beside him.

" This is my granddaughter Bella Adkins"

"Nice to meet you" I bow my head as a greeting.

" Good, good for you, Old Adkins; I can see that she is a beauty. No wonder you hid her from us."

Grandpa laughs along with him, " It is nothing like that. She had some health issues, and that's why I had to keep her away for treatment abroad."

Old Salvatore nodded his head, " I Understand, nothing is more important than their health. Let's chat over there, and Victor, please take your sister around and make some introductions. All the youngsters are here; we are just waiting for some elders; we can start the meeting once they arrive."

" Yes, Grandpa Salvatore."
