Chapter 30 - Chapter 30: Dragon Absorption Technqiue

Outside the dungeon, within the school boundary, many teachers were engaged in discussions.

"Sir, what are your thoughts on the final prize?" inquired the classroom teacher with curiosity.

"I've decided to invite an A-rank player to mentor the top performer," replied the principal calmly.

"Who do you think will come out on top?"

"I believe Rahul has the highest chance, considering he already has a peak D rank skeleton," the homeroom teacher suggested after contemplating.

"Ah, then I'll await the outcome," the principal remarked before heading to his office.

Inside the novice dungeon, monsters and students alike were in an uproar.

Two students had been battling a G+ and F- rank monster when a skeleton suddenly materialized out of thin air.

"Skeleton!" they exclaimed in fear, watching as it easily dispatched the G+ and F- rank monsters.

"Will it attack us too?" one student whispered to the other, trembling.

"No, it seems to be heading elsewhere," the other student observed. Despite feeling scared, a glimmer of hope shone in their eyes.

As the skeleton disappeared from their sight, both students collapsed to the ground, relieved that they were spared. A bright light suddenly sparked in one student's memory, and he asked his friend, "Don't you think we've seen that skeleton before?"

"Now that you mention it, it does seem familiar... It's Rahul's skeleton," the other student grumbled resentfully, his eyes widening.

Unbeknownst to them, similar incidents were unfolding with other students throughout the dungeon. This commotion persisted for around six hours.

All 20 skeletons gathered in one place, while the troublesome students lay in exhausted peace.

"It's finally over. That escalated quickly," he remarked as he rose from his comfortable place and suddenly exclaimed, "My mind has gone numb after listening to the World System's prompts for around twelve hours."

[World System]

[You have slain 400 G and 700 F-rank monsters]

[Resulting loot: 700 F-grade stat crystals and 1,800 gold coins.]

He checked the ranking list and found himself in first place with a significant lead.

"First place, huh?" he chuckled, then inspected his inventory and noticed an increase in the quantity of stat crystals and gold coins.

[Dimensional Traveling System]

[Inventory: Dungeon: [F-grade stat crystals: 565 Physique, 500 Strength, 595 Intelligence, 340 Spirit], Gold coins: 5,080]

Satisfied with his haul, he whispered, "Preserve," and all the skeletons returned to the Darkness Space.

"Let's exit," he said, leaving the novice dungeon.

At the school, near the novice dungeon exit, students were reporting to the homeroom teacher one by one.

"Oh, Rahul's skeleton swiped your monsters," the homeroom teacher commented.

As they conversed, the entrance to the novice dungeon lit up, and he emerged.

"Sir, Rahul has emerged from the dungeon."

"Quiet, everyone!" the homeroom teacher instructed, moving toward him.

"Rahul, I heard that your skeleton took their monsters," the homeroom teacher curiously inquired about the incident.

"Sir, there were no rules against it. I haven't violated any rules," he sneered at the complaining students.

"Did you all hear that? No rules were violated; only strength matters in the dungeon. Those who complained will be penalized," the homeroom teacher took a 180-degree turn and reprimanded the students sternly.

Shamed, they bowed their heads, but the homeroom teacher insisted, "Run five laps around the school."

"All students exiting the dungeon, follow the 'Distribution teacher'," the homeroom teacher directed.

All students lined up obediently.

"As you all know, today we will distribute the 'Absorption Technique,' which aids in absorbing stat crystals," the Distribution teacher announced, a tradition upheld for centuries.

One by one students were given the technique and were used at the same time.

Soon it was now his turn.

"Rahul."

"Yes, sir," he replied, accepting the Absorption Technique and stepping out of line.

"Appraise," he murmured.

[World System]

[Appraisal skill evaluating the technique]

[Dragon Absorption Technique [F]

Absorbs F-grade stat crystals by 10%.

Grade: F

"Eh!" A strange expression appeared on Rahul's face. He was mentally prepared for the absorption technique to be inferior, but he hadn't anticipated it being this lacking.

"Anyone wishing to enhance their stat attributes will need to absorb ten corresponding stat crystals to increase one corresponding stat point," he pitied them. They hadn't even started their journey, yet poverty had already become a hurdle.

After the school events concluded, he returned to his villa at 6:00 p.m.

Tonight, he decided it was time to name his darkness skeletons. But first, a refreshing shower.

Post-shower, he headed to the dining hall. The table was laden with food, and he savored his meal, feeling content.

Back in his room, he summoned all 20 darkness skeletons. It was time to give them names. He decided to begin with the peak D-rank skeleton and had an idea. "Why not use undead energy instead of mana to name them?"

Excitedly, he asked Neo, "Can I use darkness energy instead of mana for naming?"

[Yes, you can, but there are more disadvantages than advantages. Mana is the basic energy in this world, while darkness energy is not.]

He understood the explanation, though not completely. Nonetheless, he chose to proceed with naming them. As he approached the peak D-rank skeleton, he was about to give it a name when a prompt appeared in his mind.

[Host]

[Your current mana points are too low to name a higher-rank monster than yourself.]

[You could seriously harm or even cripple yourself in the worst-case scenario.]

He was dead paralyzed upon hearing Neo's prompt.

"Damn! I'm still pathetic," he muttered, but he quickly regained his composure and asked with expectation, "Is there a solution?"

[Host, maximize your intelligence and spirit before naming.]

"Okay," he shrugged his shoulder, seeing no option other than that, realizing that he hadn't increased them enough. His excitement for naming the skeletons faded away. He felt a sense of sadness but cleared it away and murmured, "Let's wait for a few days."
