Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: Naming

April 3, 2600

5:00 a.m.

Time in the real world passed swiftly, and the sun began to illuminate the surroundings with its warm light.

"Young master, wake up," a maid gently tried to wake him from his sleep.

"Okay, I'm awake. I'll freshen up," he replied and went toward his morning routine.

"Man! How could I forget that?" he muttered, beginning his morning tasks.

An hour later...

Having completed all his morning tasks, he sat down with a bead of sweat on his forehead, reflecting, "That wasn't just training; it was a relentless battle for survival."

He knew this line would sound cool when telling others, but in reality, he had been tortured in the name of training. The chaos training made him tremble just at the thought, but its fruits also forced him to endure.

Flashback...

The first hour went smoothly, with gradual improvements in his stats.

However, from the second hour onward, it turned into a nightmare.

Hordes of monsters and players relentlessly pursued him in the simulation training.

He had to survive while managing the consumption of mana, which was drained by darkness conversion techniques. The exchange of mana into darkness energy improved, but it also took a toll on his mind.

He died so many times—either at the hands of monsters or due to a lack of mana—that he became desensitized to death, but he persevered because it was all part of the training.

Despite the difficulties, the training was fruitful, strengthening his foundation and enabling him to absorb all the stat crystals. Additionally, he successfully upgraded all his techniques and skills to a certain extent.

The mechanics of chaos training seemed impossible, but in this absurd world, anything was possible. He convinced himself to push forward, unafraid of death.

...

He clenched his hand with excitement, feeling that his stat points had indeed significantly increased. Curious about his progress, he checked his status, and a smile bloomed on his face.

"All hard work pays off," he thought.

"All my stat points are maxed out, and my techniques and skills have also been upgraded to a certain level."

Suddenly, a memory resurfaced in his mind.

"Neo, transport me to a linked E-grade Sabertooth Tiger dungeon," he calmly requested, but there was a tinge of excitement and craziness in his eyes.

[Accepted]

He found himself transported back to the E-grade Sabertooth Tiger dungeon. Without delay, he released all the peak D-rank skeletons and decided to name them.

After assessing all of them, he decided to start by naming the first peak D-rank skeleton, as it was his first skeleton, and he wanted to make it memorable.

He approached the D-rank skeleton with excitement, "From now on, you will be called Indrajit."

He decided to name his skeleton after the person who conquered heaven. As he named the skeleton, he felt a significant drain of mana, and his face grew pale. He quickly checked his status to see his mana points.

Mana Points: 2000/16000 [20 times my intelligence]

"What! 14,000 mana points? Isn't that too much?" He was bewildered by the amount of mana consumed.

"Neo, that skeleton drained 5,000 mana points," he quickly asked Neo for an explanation.

[Host, that skeleton was made using darkness energy. I believe that naming it with such a large amount of mana will make it quite formidable in its own league.]

As he considered Neo's suggestion, he glanced toward the skeleton, which was covered in a cocoon, completing its transformation.

"He will become a legendary monster," he thought and decided to oversee.

He commanded all the remaining skeletons to attack the monsters on the first floor.

In just five minutes, the air was filled with the sound of breaking cocoons, gradually shattering.

Before him stood a figure resembling a human, entirely different from its previous deep, dark, skeletal appearance. Simultaneously, a notification from the World System appeared:

[Ding…]

[This rank is also applicable to the Summon profession.]

"Master," Indrajit kneeled before him.

"Okay, you may rise," he said softly, unable to contain his happiness. He was pleased that Indrajit now possessed a body more comfortable than that of a skeleton.

However, Sam also knew that referring to them as "skeletons" was an insult to them because, before naming them, they were not just mere skeletons which made from piles of bone but the crystallization of darkness or in simple terms: They are the embodiment of darkness.

However, after examination, Sam noticed a crucial distinction.

They may resemble human, but they are too far to be called human because they can still alter their human form into previous form using their talent which is the main benefit of having name.

Furthermore, they possessed the ability to vanish into darkness-related phenomena.

During this time, the hunt on the first floor had also concluded, and all the skeletons gathered before him.

"Alright, let's move on to the second floor," he announced, filled with excitement to name the other skeletons, as he entered the black hole-like entrance that instantly teleported them to the next level.

"Indrajit, from now on, you will oversee all the skeletons and ensure they hunt every monster in the dungeon," he instructed.

"Understood, Master," Indrajit replied happily, relaying the command to the other skeletons, who began their search for monsters and delved deeper into the dungeon.

As they set off to hunt ape monsters, he named another skeleton, then sat down and started to replenish his mana using a meditation technique. Many thoughts resurfaced in his mind.

"Indrajit is too much like a human," but he brushed off the thought. "Let's leave these troublesome thoughts for the future," and he refocused on his work.

"Master," a voice reached his ears as the skeletons gathered around him, having already cleared all the monsters in the dungeon.

He glanced at his mana points, which had reached 16,000, and decided to name another skeleton. The naming process continued along with dungeon transfers using the link function.
