Awakening Chapter 1: "A small step"

Who are we to call a hero a hero? And a villain a villain? While we ourselves aren't sure if we're heroes or villains.

"Why are you...even doing this?" Asked Ray with a tone of nonchalance and grumpiness despite being tied to a chair.

"Why am I even doing this huh?" Paused the supervillaines, her sliver hair swaying as she contemplates an answer.

"To be honest with you...I have no idea on why am I *even* doing this, but i guess i have bills to pay so..." Said the supervillainess as she adjusted herself on Rays lap. "besides there's some fun dealing with ya, so it's not a complete waste, I guess." She managed a little smile.

the supervillainess then sighed as she looked around her lair, which was anything but fancy. It was filled with broken windows and debris of all sorts. The sound of water droplets leaking from somewhere and rodents as well while insects splattered around.

Ray then interrupted the supervillainess Train of thoughts by saying "you will not receive anything by using me as a hostage you know?" Ray paused for a moment as he continued "I bet someone

will care enough to oblige to your conditions and save me-."

Before Ray could continue he was shut close with the supervillainess hands as she yelled at the top of her lungs with a

concerned tone that has a hint of anger in it "DON'T YOU EVER SAY THAT AGAIN OK!?" The supervillainess gently pulled Rays mask and held his face gently.

She paused again, trying to calm herself before continuing.

"Everyone is priceless! OK? No one is worthless, so please don't be

harsh on yourself Ray-Ray."

After that She adds with her tone and deamoner shifting back to her playful one "Besides I already asked for 500.000$ kens in exchange of returning ya safe and well Ray-Ray~" Said the supervillainess while giggling and booping Rays nose. "Not that much honestly so surely they will oblige to my demands!"

(The supervillainess wore a one-piece snorkeling suit that fits her petite figure and on top of it a gray puffer jacket with white shoes and fingerless gloves.)

Ray looked away in embarrassment, feeling a tad confused but comforter by the supervillainess words.

Before Ray could replay the wall to their left suddenly Exploded! Releasing Debris, ashes and smoke everywhere.

The supervillainess, flinched upon the sound of the explosion and jerked herself of Rays lap.

"Release him." Commanded The voice of a mysterious girl behind

the smoke.

"Or what?" Asked the supervillainess with a confident smirk as the

smoke slowly started to fade away. revealing the mysterious girl.

"before I release you, from your pathetic existence." She threatened the supervillainess with fire in her emerald like eyes while her Long. fluffy red-hair moved along with the wind

(The mysterious girl wore a Gothic/punk Lolita Japanese black dress, with a black gloves and boots.)

Despite the serious threat from the mysterious girl the supervillainess didn't even budge as her smirk increased

and she replied "I would love to see you try!" As she took a stance. her

brown eyes glowed yellow. And the atmosphere between the supervillainess and the mysterious girl started to tense up.

Then, Ray suddenly had an outburst

shattered the tense atmosphere

"WHAT TOOK YOUR GINGER ASS SO LONG, SAM!?" His displeasure

and annyonce at Sam's late arrival evident through his tone.

Sam flinched at his Sudden outburst, her cheeks turning pink "I'm s-sorry Ray, okay? Putting on this new costume took longer than I expected" her gaze flickered away as sam tried to keep her composure. Ray took a deep breath, his tone remains pissed, but slightly

calmer "whatever just save me, already."

Without any hesitation the supervillainess appeared before Sam, delivering a devastating blow at Her stomach, knocking the wind out of her.

Sam was hurrled back into a wall, cracking it in the impact. She fell off the wall and fell on the dirty ground. she manged to rise using her katana for support, but before she could Sam fell

into her knees, caughing up blood, gasping for air, and clutching her

stomach in agony. As sam faught for breath the supervillainess started to slowly approach her with a sadistic grin on her face "You ok there Sammy?" She taunted "Can't save your dear teammate Lil Ray-Ray~ it seems, awwww how disappointing!"

The supervillainess halted before Sam, lifting her leg and began tomping on Sam's skull while giggling sadistically "Trying to sound all cool and badass, but

in the end it's all just barks and no bites" she taunted again and continued repeatedly bashing her foot down aiming to crush Sam's skull

Ray in the back was seething with Immense Rage, he tried to get

free from his restraints, but to no avail "YOU BITCH I SWEAR IF I

GOT MY HANDS ON YOU-" He was abruptly cut short, a part of the

celling above them began slowly collapsing.

The supervillainess pasused her assault on sam, her gaze darted

upwards "What?" She said in confusion. Sam immediately sprang on her feet and

slashed at the supervillainess chest with her sword. The slash wasn't enough to injure the supervillainess, but the force

of it was enough to knock her backwarads. Sam then rushed to Ray, swiftly uniting him "Ray hurry up we need to hide until support arrives!"

Ray stood up and answered confidently "You Go, I will deal with her

ass-"

Before he could protest further, Sam grabbed his hand and pulled

him away.

The spot where they had stood erupted in a burst of yellowelectricity.

Ray muttered with a traumatized expression before pulling his mask on. "Okay, let's run."

Sam giggled slightly. "Told you."

The supervillainess interrupted their talk, she bursted in yellow electricity as she powered up and with an outburst "OH YOU FREAKING WH%^E, YOU FREAKING DARN B&T*H!" She said as she

starts flying towards Ray and sam, Firing bolts of electricity At their

direction. "YOU THINK I AM THAT MUCH OF AN IDIOT?!"

Sam muttered "honestly yes..." her and Ray both tried to hold their laughter.

The continued to fire

multiple bolts of electricity, increasing its power with every passing

second "YOU ARE NOT TAKING RAY-RAY FROM ME, RETURN HIM BACK AND I MIGHT SPARE YOUR PATHETIC LIFE, SAAMMMMM" she said Sam's name with spite.

Dodging the attacks, Ray and Sam sprinted toward a hole in the

wall that Sam had created earlier, the supervillainess in relentless pursuit.

"Electric over-wheel" The supervillainess shouted, unleashed an attack of electricity that resembled a wheel towards them.

Sam halted, facing the villain "Grava-Rack!" Manipulating gravity,

she swinged her sword, erecting a barrier to parry the attack. Confused, the supervillainess faltered mid-air as her attack got dissipated

"What the-" Ray appeard before the supervillaines could react react.

Ray clenched his fist as Green sparks began bursting out of it. "Altimate Fist!" His blow connected with the

supervillainess's face, sending her sprawling backwarads. Ray landed on his feet, he and Sam high-fived and said in unison" Yay!" then resumed their desperate flight through the building's

corridors, the supervillainess hot on Her heels. "Crap, she's still after us." Ray mutters, annyonce clear in his

tone.

"On my way here I passed by a supply room. We can hide there until supports arrives" Sam Said, both of them still sprinting away from the supervillainess.

"Wow love that idea! But incase you haven't known there's a female wanna be electro behind us!!!" Ray rolled his eyes as he continued to run alongside Sam.

Sam paused, considering her options. Then, snapping her fingers,

she asked. "Can you use that flashbang move?" Rays eyes widened at her question "The last time I used it was 6 years ago!" Replied Sam with a smirk "Can you or not?" Her tone brimming with confidence.

"I guess..." Replied Ray with hesitation in his voice.

Sam halted, Rushing towards the supervillainess. "Then use it

when I say now and don't you worry about me!"

Ray was flabbergasted "this fast!?" Ray passed before groaning in

frustration "Fine!" He followed her.
