"Miss?" I slightly opened my eyes as I felt someone tapped my shoulder. "Is this your stop?" I looked at the person realizing it was the driver. Did I fall asleep?
I widened my eyes as I looked outside. I finally arrived at the bus stop near my house. Gosh I did.
"Miss?" I drifted my attention back to the driver as he called for me again.
"Yes it is. Thank you sir" I stood up grabbing my bag and fixed my hair before I got out of the bus. I started to walk since my house is just nearby.
While walking home, I suddenly felt hungry and decided to grab some food from a nearby bakery. As I arrived at the bakery shop, the owner immediately saw me and a smile plastered on her face.
"'Reeine, honey, I'm glad you passed by" she said with a warm smile.
"Hello Mrs. Eva." I greeted her back. She looked at me with a sigh as she heard the way I called her.
"Honey, how many times did I tell you to call me Auntie instead of Mrs. It's way too formal" She said as she looked at me with her usual warm smile. I just nodded in response.
"But—" she cut me off as she spoke.
"Ep, no buts. Call me Auntie." She said making me sigh in defeat.
"Yes, Mrs— um Auntie Eva" She chuckled as she started to prepare the bread I was craving for since she knew it was my favorite.
I've known Mrs. Eva ever since we moved here in their neighborhood.
When I was younger, grandma would usually bring me with her every time we bought bread or cake in Mrs. Eva's bakery shop. I love her baking especially the kind of bread she makes that has chocolate fillings inside. Yum!!
"Here you go" She handed me the box of bread.
"Thank you Auntie. I'll come again next time." I said as I waved at her goodbye and she also waved back with a smile. I continued walking home while enjoying eating my favorite bread.
As I arrived home, I took off my shoes before going inside. As I walked towards the living room, I saw grandma cooking in the kitchen. I decided to check up on her to ask what's for dinner.
I slightly walked towards her and slightly tapped her shoulder. She flinched as she turned around to look at me with a shocked expression.
"Reeine! You scared me!" She yelled as I started laughing. I always enjoy having banter with grandma.
"Sorry sorry. Never mean to scare you Nana. So what's for dinner?" I looked at her as I slightly glanced at the food she was cooking.
"Well, we're having fried shrimp" she sighs as she slightly hit my forehead.
"And stop doing that every time you see me in the kitchen. I almost had a heart attack." She sighs again while I slightly smiled. She looked at me up and down noticing I didn't change yet.
"Go change. You look like you came from the zoo" she said as she gestured to me to look at myself. I rolled my eyes at her remarks.
"Yeah yeah, I will" I mumbled as I went to my room to change.
Since mom and dad are always busy, grandma is the person who usually takes care of me. I was eight when I moved in with grandma here in London since I was always left alone at home. Grandma took me in as she saw how busy my parents are. I had a hard time growing up without my parents but grandma would always be there for me. Every month, my parents would send me some allowances and sometimes things like school supplies, toys, my daily needs or whatsoever. But I still get lonely sometimes since I missed them being by my side.
After I changed my clothes, I sat on my desk chair and grabbed my Diary and opened my lamp. I usually write my thoughts, dreams, and ambitions in it. Sometimes I write the things that happened in my day and sometimes the scenarios I wanted to experience someday.
My room is small and simple. I got my bed in the side and beside it has a small cabinet that has my digital clock on it. I have a desk full of my stuffs but not make up though. I also have a huge cabinet to store my clothes and shoes and another cabinet that is full of books.
I don't seem like the type of person to read but I do love reading books especially if it's historical romance.
Ever since I was young, I was always been interested in historical romance. Romance before was so different to romance now. The way a man before treats a woman is so precious. Being called "darling" instead of "chick" makes my stomach wild with butterflies. I really wanted experience being treated like a princess. Being cared, being treated right..being loved....
Memories of the past flooded back to my mind making me shiver. I hate it. I hate it when nostalgia hits me like a rock...

"Jaze!" I called for him as I saw him walking towards the gate. He turned around to face me looking confused as I ran towards him.
"Are you going home?" I asked while breathing heavily after running fast just to catch up to him.
"Yes, I am. Why?" He said as he stared down at me since I was holding on my knees catching my breath.
"Let's walk home together" I said with a wide smile as I stood up straight. He tilted his head as he gazed at me. He stared at me as if he was processing what I had just said. 'Gosh why did I say that!!'
"Sure" he said as he turned around and started to walk. I widened my eyes as he agreed to walk with me. I smiled brightly as I caught up to him and walked happily by his side.
The walk was quiet. He didn't bother to say something or anything at all. Me on the other hand can't help myself to stop getting flustered. After a moment, I finally decided to open up a conversation to lessen the awkwardness for a bit.
"So Jaze d—" he cut me off.
"Reeine" I looked at him as he stopped walking making me stop also. I faced him confusingly as he stared at me seriously.
"Yes?" I asked waiting for him to continue. I saw him sigh deeply before speaking.
"Stop this" I stared at him as he said that with a straight face. 'stop what?' I tried to process his words hoping it's not what I think it is.
"Don't act dumb. I know that you know what I'm talking about." Gosh his words hits deep. Did he just called me dumb? Ouch.
"I don't know what you're talking about" I said in response. He sighs deeply as he stared at me seriously.
"'Reeine, I don't love you. I know I've said I loved you before but now I realize that I really don't." My heart sank deep as I heard him say those words.
"The truth is, I was just confused about my feelings for you. I thought I love you too but it's just not right." He said that while looking at me with his deep gaze.
How can he say those hurtful words while looking at me like that? Did he just..lie to me when he said he loved me too? Why..
"Y-You..you.. lied..?" I asked him while trying to control my emotions.
"No.. well..I .." He said as he tried to think of something to say."I like someone else Reeine."
'oh.. that's why..' I gulped as I stared at him.
"You said you loved me.." I said trying my best not to cry.
"'Reeine, that was a mistake. I'm sorry." That was the last straw making my tears fall down.
He didn't flinched when he saw me cry. He didn't move nor came close to me to comfort me. To explain why he did that. All he just did is leave me there, alone and speechless while tears continued to fall down in my cheeks. I was so hopeless. Why did I even believe in those words in the first place. Was it because I loved him so much not even thinking if he was telling the truth or not? Was it because I cared?
I was so blinded with love.
I stood there while my head was low, under the light post's light in the night, staring at the ground while tears streamed down my cheeks.

"Reeine? Come on out, dinner is ready." I came back to my senses as I heard grandma called for me. I immediately wiped my tears up and closed my diary.
"Yes nana I'll be there in a minute" I said as I continued to wipe my tears. I didn't even notice I was tearing up already.
I stared at the mirror for a sec before sighing and arranging my desk. I combed my hair and made sure that my eyes were fully dried out so that grandma won't notice that I cried since she won't stop nagging me to tell her why I cried before going outside.
