Since I was a kid, I never feared death. At such a young age, I already accepted that our life will be gone and we will die if our time comes, so even if I cross the street with a lot of cars passing by, I've never been afraid of an accident. My thoughts aren't normal, I believe. I keep my thoughts and grew up being a timid person and view the world with my own perspective.
I have great parents, I have good siblings; the world doesn't deserve them, I hope them to be happy more than this but since we're just a poor family, we can't do that. I started reading some books, until I get obssessed in fantasy genre especially if the plot is about 'reincarnation'.
Does reincarnation even real? I don't know, but I'm always hoping that if I die someday, I want to be reincarnated.
"Wow, are you for real?" I whispered while looking up to my best friend's body laying in her bed while her blood is flowing on the floor. "I didn't expect to be late, sorry."
I wiped my tears falling onto my cheeks.
I took a glance on my back and saw a man with his bonnet on while his gun is on my head. He is obviously shaking like he is regretting what he done. But I guess, as a person who's fighting for survival, his instinct will automatically saying... "You have to kill her or else, you will go to jail."
I don't fear death, that's what I thought. But in a last minute that I'm standing, I found my eyes bawling in tears while an unfamiliar smile on my lips and laugh come out on my mouth.
"W-Why!? Why are you laughing?" He nervously shouted and step back a little.
"Have you ever... fear death?" I asked.
"What... O-Of course! I'm a human too, I fear death more than anything!"
"Then why did you kill her? Have you ever thought... that she might fear death as well?"
"..." He glared at me out of fear and stepped back a little.
"Reign is a weirdo like me, she likes reading novels about reincarnation like me. She always saying that she wanted to die to be reincarnated but it's obvious that she also feared death." I paused. "Ah... she must be disappointed right now because reincarnation isn't even real." I smirked.
"JUST WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?!" He shouted and pulled my hair until I kneeled on the floor.
"This asshole, can you respect someone who is still in conversation?—" That's my embarrassing last word before a bullet pierce my head.
I felt my body fell on the floor, the stink of my own blood irritating my nose, and my blurry eyes started pissing me off. There's pain but I can't even speak about it, so this is the feeling of dying? So annoying, I can't breathe, so frustrating, I can't punch that bastard one last time.
Ah... shit.
