sunphis lovers bouta loveee this chapter but im sorry if it's a little freaky i mean nephis is canocially freaky
The walk back to Sunny's housae was quiet but not the uncomfortable kind with a stranger.
The tension between them had been growing ever and ever, of course due to Nephis's constant teasing.
Sunny wasn't sure if he was imagining it, but Nephis seemed like.. a different person. She's a lot more lively now if she wasn't before.
He wondered if it was because of the Waterpark incident. But he pushed no further.
He was so deep in his thoughts that he didn't even realize they had reached her door until she turned to face him, keys in hand.
"You're not coming in?" Nephis asked, tilting her head slightly.
Sunny blinked, suddenly hyper-aware of how close they were. The street was quiet, the world around them empty. Just the two of them in the dim glow of the porch light.
He hesitated. "…Should I?"
Technically, it wasn't a question, nor was the answer a lie.
Nephis didn't answer right away.
Instead, she simply stepped forward, closing the small distance between them until he could feel the warmth of her body.
"I don't mind," she said softly, watching him with those silver eyes. "Unless you're scared."
Sunny's pride flared instantly. "I'm not scared of you."
A ghost of a smirk touched her lips. "No?"
And then, without warning, she leaned in until her lips brushed his.
Sunny went completely still.
It was barely a kiss, but it sent a sharp, electric jolt through him all the same.
'Damn it Sunny it wasn't even a proper kiss!' He cursed himself for being so excited from a kiss.
Nephis didn't pull away. Instead, she lingered, her breath warm against his skin. "You're not moving," she murmured. "Am I that terrifying?"
Something in him snapped.
"No. You're beautiful."
He kissed her. Properly, this time.
His hands found her waist, pulling her against him as their mouths met in a slow, heated press. Nephis let out a quiet hum, tilting her head to deepen the kiss, fingers curling around the fabric of his shirt.
Sunny didn't know how long they stood there, tangled in each other, but when they finally broke apart, Nephis was smirking again.
"See?" she said, voice just slightly breathless. "Not so scary, is it?"
Sunny exhaled sharply, resisting the urge to roll his eyes. "You would make a competition out of this."
Nephis only smiled, tugging him inside.
"Come in," she said. "Unless you want to be the one running away this time."
Sunny huffed. "I'll gladly come in."
----------
The door shut behind them with a quiet click, sealing them in the dimly lit house.
Sunny wasn't sure what he expected to happen next. Maybe for Nephis to smirk, tease him again, push the tension just a little further like she always did. But instead, she just looked at him as if he was her food for tonight.
His heart pounded.
Nephis took a slow step forward, her gaze locked onto his. The room was dark, but the faint glow from the city outside cast silver light over her face, making her look almost ethereal.
And then, with deliberate slowness, she reached out and traced her fingers down the front of his shirt, a featherlight touch that sent heat curling low in his stomach.
"…You're staring," she murmured.
Sunny swallowed hard. "You kissed me first."
Nephis arched a brow. "And?"
He exhaled sharply, running a hand through his hair. "And you're-" He stopped himself, eyes flicking downward for just a second too long before snapping back to her face.
Her smirk widened. "I'm what?"
Sunny clenched his jaw. "Forget it."
She hummed, tilting her head slightly. "You liked it."
He let out a breath, feeling cornered by both Nephis and his flaw. "Yes, I did."
Nephis stepped closer, until the space between them disappeared entirely. Her body was warm against his, her scent filling his lungs, and Sunny had to fight the urge to close his eyes and just lose himself in it.
He swallowed. "I liked it."
Nephis smiled. Not her usual cold, amused smirk, but something almost tender.
And then she leaned in much slower then the last kiss. As if testing him to see if he would refuse.
He didn't.
Their lips met again, and this time there was no hesitation.
Sunny kissed her like he meant it, like she was the only thing in the world that mattered. His hands found her waist, pulling her impossibly close, and Nephis responded in kind, fingers curling in his hair,
...
When they finally pulled apart, both breathing hard, Nephis studied his face for a long moment.
"…Are you going to run away now?" she asked, voice barely above a whisper.
Sunny exhaled, pressing his forehead to hers. "Not this time."
Nephis smiled. And then, without another word, she pulled him toward her bedroom.
--------
Sunny barely had time to think before Nephis tugged him forward, her lips crashing onto his with a force that sent them both stumbling. His back hit the edge of the bed.
Nephis followed, hands braced on either side of him, her weight pressing him down.
"Neph-"
She didn't let him finish.
Her fingers curled into his shirt, pulling it over his head in one swift motion before tossing it somewhere behind her. For a moment, she just looked at him, silver eyes tracing the scars across his chest.
Sunny felt exposed in a way he never had before. Not because of the lack of clothing, but because it was her looking at him like that. Like she saw everything.
A slow smirk tugged at the corner of her lips. "You're blushing."
He looked away, and said quietly. "Quiet.."
Nephis hummed, tilting her head as she leaned down, her breath warm against his skin.
He barely had time to process before her lips brushed against his throat. A sharp exhale left his lips before he could stop it, his fingers tightening around her waist.
"Nephis," he murmured, his voice hoarse.
She pulled back just enough to meet his gaze, her expression unreadable. And then, in a whisper softer than anything he's whispered,
"…Are you sure?"
Sunny stared up at her.
He cupped her face, thumb grazing over the curve of her cheek.
"I've never been more sure of anything."
A small breath of laughter left her lips, then she kissed him again, deeper this time, with no more hesitation.
And as their fire grew in size, the world around them ceased to exist.
---------------
Sunny stirred awake, his body sore in ways he hadn't expected. A soft warmth pressed against his side, the scent of something faintly sweet lingering in the air.
Then, the realization hit him.
Nephis was still there.
His eyes darted down, his bare skin pressed against hers beneath the covers. Her silver hair was a mess, strands falling over her face as she slept peacefully beside him.
The memories of last night came like a truck.
His face turned crimson.
"Why did we do that…" he muttered to himself, running a hand through his hair in exasperation.
Nephis stirred at his voice, slowly blinking her eyes open. A lazy, almost predatory smirk spread across her lips.
"Do what?" she asked innocently, stretching slightly. The movement only made things worse.
Sunny swallowed hard. "You know exactly what."
She hummed, brushing a finger across his chest. "Was it bad?"
"No," he answered immediately. Then his eyes widened in horror.
Nephis's smirk deepened. "Oh?"
Sunny clenched his jaw. Damn his flaw.
She leaned in closer, her lips barely a breath away from his. "So... you wouldn't mind doing it again?"
Sunny opened his mouth, desperate to say something but the truth slammed into him like a curse.
"I... I wouldn't mind," he admitted, his voice barely a whisper.
Nephis chuckled softly, her hands already slipping beneath the sheets.
Sunny groaned. "Neph, wait-"
But she didn't. And thanks to his flaw, neither did he.
